These shoes are not only stylish but they are very comfortable as well, easy to wear all day! True to size, you can't go wrong with Converse but the Jack Purcell's are my favorite.

This was my first time ordering from Zappos and I am so pleased with this company! My order arrived in record time during the Christmas rush. I will order from them again!

Unlike regular Chuck Taylor's, the Jack Purcell's have support and a comfy insole. I can wear these all day and not feel a thing, which I couldn't do with regular Chucks. The leather is great for the fall -- much warmer than the canvas but still breathes. Also, the laces on these are metal, so you don't have to worry about them getting frayed after a lot of use. My only complaint...somehow these won't stay tied! Have to double knot them to keep tied for more than 10 minutes.

These shoes are actually comfortable; they have a form fitting removable insole that is very nice. Of course the OLD SCHOOL look is nice, too!

I like these sneakers. They're very comfortable. I like shoes with good arch support which these don't have so much of but they're cushiony enough that I can wear them all day without them hurting my feet like so many flat shoes. I bought them in the fall and they look cute paired with jeans but I can't wait to wear them in the spring and summer paired with shorts or capri's. I think they'll look good with a skirt as well. I like the stripe detail on the toe. It gives the shoe a bit more panache than regular Converse.

These Jack Purcells are the absolute best! The leather is awesome and the fit is superb! And unlike most Converse, they have excellent support, no insole needed. Just great comfort and fab style. Thanks Zappos.

I purched these for my Husband, who would never wear sneakers. But I knew he would love these and he does! His comments were Wow! they look great and are so comfortable. Being Leather I think make them look classy!

Fits and feels as I expected, without the hassle of going to a brick and mortar store to get it.

Pleased with both comfort and looks. A lot more cushioning. Will use them as a dressy sneaker (if there is such a thing.)

I\'ve traditionally worn the white canvas version of this shoe. Thought I\'d try the leather version to see if it would stay cleaner and gain durability. It does on both counts and actually looks better, especially with the khakis\/casual pants that I wear to work.

Great comfortable shoes. I love that they're leather. I can wear them in any place without worrying that they'll be ruined by a little dirt.

I work nights on a psychiatric unit. I find my Jacks are great for doing silent bed checks. In addition, they are very comfortable and I think they look great. And, if they were good enough for James Dean, they are good enough for me.

All I will say is this. If you remember wearing these when you were young, buy them again and you will not be disappointed! The size was dead on, Zappos customer service and next day delivery. I was dead on and the 'Ole JP's fit like a glove! As comfortable and more, as they were 'all those years ago'!

If you like Chucks, you'll fall in love with Jacks! They have a lot more cushion in the insole. And the leather is glove soft. I got the black ones as well. I get tons of compliments on these shoes. I really only wear jacks and chucks and have 10+ pairs but these are the most comfortable yet! And I always sing praise for Zappos! I ordered them one evening and they were at my door by lunch the next day! I had to exchange the first pair for a different size and same thing, got them the next day! They are simply amazing and so are the shoes!

Great shoe. Stylish, minimalistic, and the insole is nothing like I\'ve experienced with any pair of Chuck Taylors I\'ve owned. Leather gives it a touch of sophistication, black stitching and black laces make it low key, and the metal eyelets and metal ends on the laces make it cooler than your average Converse.

Cute shoe but had to return it and buy a half size smaller. Make no mistake - this shoe runs big.

I love the Purcell leathers. My biggest dilemma was what size to buy. I wear size 8.5 in Converse All Stars but 9 in everything else. I ordered the 9\'s and glad I did. They fit perfect. These also have much better support than All Stars.

These are nice with everything and 10x more comfortable than your everyday Chuck Taylors. The the sizing are different in this leather version, I had to go up half a size from my normal Chuck size which was a 10.

Typical Converse sizing. Purcell soles were update several years ago and are definitely more comfortable now. The leather construction is definitely a way to get a different look.
