Never gets old... Old school styling that never goes out of style. They look great and fit well, too. Get maybe a half-size smaller if you want them to fit snugly. Unless you have particularly wide feet. Otherwise, great shoes! I've always preferred the look of these over Chucks, so if you like those I think you'd probably like these, too.

Converse Jack Purcell Leather - Very satisfied with these shoes, looks great with everything, get lots of compliments, there is a little break in time rubs a little at back of ankle, just wore them with socks for a while. Did have to send them back twice because they run a full size smaller (I'm normally a sz 8) and ended up with a sz 7(men's 5.5) which was still a little big. Good for walking around all day, but did need to alternate when I was on vacation, could not wear them everyday, they are a bit heavy and my feet got tired. All around a great looking shoe with moderate comfort.

Great Buy. Stylish. Timeless. By far, one of the best and most versatile sneaker purchases I've made in a while. You can wear them with casual wear or even dress them up a bit for work. Plus, they are super easy to clean (keeping the shoe strings clean may be a hassle, but you can always get spare sets from Wal-Mart for around 80 cents). Keep in mind that YOU WILL WANT TO ORDER A HALF SIZE BELOW YOUR REGULAR SHOE SIZE (I wear a 9 and purchased an 8.5--they fit nice and comfortably snug). Perfect for the adult (I'm 24), who loves their sneakers, but likes them low-key. Everyone who has seen them has loved them and given me numerous compliments. Definitely one to buy!

Really Nice Shoes - The shoes have a real nice look and are comfortable and light on the feet. I ordered these initially because GQ Style guys listed this as one of the shoes they recommend saying that these are what you should wear with jeans instead of running shoes. On the first order I ordered the size I had for my New Balance shoes (10 1/2s) and found that they were huge. So I went for a size 9 and they fit much better though might even be an 8 1/2 with these. Highly recommended!

Great sneakers! A classic in leather. Love these shoes! They are the only sneakers that I wear and the leather version, in my opinion, are more comfortable and durable than the canvas version. I also love the fact that they are machine washable. Such a bonus! An all around great shoe. It runs a little large in leather. If you wear an 8.5, order an 8.

Jack Purcell’s are great - Although the Jack Purcell’s run big (see order size chart) they still feel great on my foot. I would recommend the leather over the canvas. They are just more comfortable. The have that classic look that I love and will wear them all the time for spring summer (even though I don't believe they ever went out of style. Everyone man and woman should own a pair!!

Nice Clean Lines - Glad Converse made this in the leather version -- exactly what I was looking for. Size-wise, I felt the 8 was good but I also ordered the 7.5 to see which would fit better. The 7.5 felt way too small, to the point of pinching my toes. It's almost as if it was a 7 instead! I returned the 7.5 and stuck w/ the 8.

They look great! I actually bought these for my boyfriend because his All-Stars were completely falling apart and it's really cold and snowy in Illinois this year. These are working out wonderfully for him. The leather is a MUCH better insulator and they're easier to clean too. He loves them, but did complain they're a bit heavy... I guess if you have weak ankles or other foot ailment, or were planning to wear them at a job where you walk around a lot, they won't be as comfortable? Oh well... at least they look GREAT. Also, remember to buy a half size larger--Converse tends to run a big larger in their shoe sizes.

Eyelet # based on size - These definitely run long (I wear a 9 - 9.5 and have to return for an 8.5), but are very cute! The picture displayed is correct - depending on the size you wear; the number of eyelets on the shoe increase as the size increases (from 5 to 7).

Surprisingly Comfortable... I ordered these bad boys because I liked the way that they looked but when I got them & tried them on, they were way more comfortable than I expected them to be. They slipped right on & wore them all day in total comfort. Great shoe!

wrong shoe in pix - Love Zappos and this is the first time I ordered a shoe that was not in the picture . The white leather five eyelet model in pix arrived with 7 eyelet and not as plush looking along with the newer metal ends on laces. So much for a vintage look. the black leather is accurate

Stylish & comfortable - These are great looking and well made shoes, very comfy and soft. The JP's have enough give to be nice light duty walking-around shoes without the heaviness of traditional walking/sport shoes. They are a definite upgrade from Chuck Taylors, with their better support and more expensive styling. Great with jeans in the evening or daytime. The feel, fit, and look is well worth the price, they lace-up well, and will surely get noticed. Got mine in black and they rock!

It's just like the canvas Jack Purcells but better. My canvas Jack Purcells were falling apart and I had been eyeing these leather Purcells for awhile. I bought it and love it. It's a lot more comfortable and keeps my feet warm in cold conditions. I definitely recommend this to anyone who is already wearing canvas Jack Purcells and wants to keep the look and have warm comfortable feet.

Great shoes! I recommend going with a half size smaller than normal. I usually wear a size 6 but a 5 1/2 (with socks!) fit great. If you plan to wear these w/out socks, I'd get a full size smaller. Overall very comfy and looks cute!

Great All Around White Tennies for Cuffed Jeans - Road test of three styles/brands, this pair won for looks and style. Really, truly a great looking shoe, it just is. Cuff the jeans, add a cardigan and these look great with no socks. This is not a jogging shoe and very little arch support. But there are less attractive shoes for that. A man's 6 1/2 equaled a women's 8 1/2 for me if trying to compare for size.

Converse’s Jack Purcell® Leather - I love these shoes!! I normally wear a size (women’s) 7 1/2 and a women’s size 7 in these fit perfect. If you're not sure on what size to purchase in the Converse Jack Purcell in leather...order a 1/2 smaller than what you'd normally purchase if buying Nike or New Balance.

Jack Purcell, a timeless classic - The Jack Purcell leather low-tops really epitomize what a classic tennis shoe should look like. They're a refreshing change from the SUVs that most people wear on their feet these days. Whenever I wear my white Purcell’s with a pair of jeans, the women always comment on how sharp they look, and that's a good enough recommendation for me.

I always order my Jack Purcell's a 1/2 size smaller than marked. They run a little narrow (or maybe I just have wide feet), so that makes the toe box a bit snug but then they hug my feet in a sweet, little comfy way. They take about a week to break in but they're my favorite and have been since high school! I guess they're owned by Nike now, which would explain all the new colors/textures in these and the All-Stars.

Try the leather Purcell - If you are a fan of Jack Purcell court shoes then you really ought to try the leather model. I bought the basic white leather shoe with the navy "smile" and found it to be much more comfortable than the canvas model. I went with 1/2 size smaller than I normally buy athletic shoes and that worked great. I use a padded insole for added comfort. These shoes are great with jeans or khakis and don't have the bulk of modern athletic shoes.

White Jack Purcell’s are a must for summer! This shoe is a timeless classic that screams preppy. I buy a pair of these shoes every year or 2 because they are essential. I only purchase them in white leather (canvas is such a pain to keep clean).

Love Them - I have the all white leather ones, and I like them very much very comfortable. I have a narrow foot and was worried they would be too wide. They are just fine with socks of course and am happy I bought them I like them so much better for casual wear instead of the clunky sport shoes that most people wear. These are classy looking in comparison.

Classic in leather - I have always loved the canvas version - was thrilled to find that they are now in leather. Same classic look only better. The insole & arch support is much improved over my last pair of canvas I bought - although I highly reccommend buying "superfeet" inserts, you won't be disappointed with the added arch support these inserts provide, especially in the "flat" Jacks or Chucks.

Too cool - I have worn JP's for years...they always feel a little snug, but you get used to it! The JP leathers get alot of comments because people are used to the canvas...Too cool!
