Had canvas Purcells for several years before replacing with the leather version. The leather ones fit better, have better arch support, and easier to clean. Worth the extra cost. Size was correct too. Love these.

They look great, and the best part is they're so damn comfortable! Like walking on pillows! I've been a Vans guy most of my life, but these are a welcome addition to my shoe cabinet. They got more bounce than my classic Vans slip-ons ever did, surprisingly.

Bought these as a Christmas gift for my little brother. They fit true to size and are very fashionable. He absolutely loves them! Great shoe!

I was agonizing over getting my actual size 9 or going 1/2 size smaller or 1 size smaller like other reviewers. Because my Chucks are full size smaller than normal, I played it safe one 1/2 size smaller and they fit like a glove. Even comparing my leather low Chucks to these...Chucks say size 8 and these are 8 1/2 but they both fit fine. I bought the all white. Great shoe, looks classier than the chucks. Love 'em! And of course super fast shipping!

This shoe is more comfortable and supportive than I expected. It provides solid support for a full day and looks good as well.

I marked these as feeling true to size, but in truth they feel about a quarter size smaller than marked. I tried two sizes, and one was a bit too big, the other a bit too tight. I hoped in time that the bit too tight would open up, but that has yet to happen. The leather is quite nice and the padded tongue adds a nice comfort touch. The black color lets you daydream all day long about different lace colors you can try.

I love my JP's. Stylish,comfortable, inexpensive and goes well with all my clothes, even my tux.

I love these Jacks. They're awesome! I've had a pair before this. It is an extremely durable pair of shoes. I've worn it in the rain, snow, and sunshine. Great leather, and it gets even better as you wear them. You won't regret getting yourself a pair of these!

Simple and stylish. Comfortable. It looks great on both long pants or shorts.

Very comfy. Un like regular Converse that run one size to big these only run about a half size to big. Love them. They are good casual and fancy.

Love these shoes. Very easy to clean and look great. Leather will last a long time. I have insoles, so the out-of-the box arch support isn't that great, but still very comportable.

I have owned the white pair for over a year now. They are very comfortable, more so than converse. I lost the insoles they came with which were like walking on a cloud and they are true to size. I inserted the Spenco Cross Trainers which are very comfortable and I wear in almost all my athletic shoes except for my vans which already have arch support.

Great shoes. Clean up easily, much more comfortable than regular Converse. A bit small, I had to order a half-size larger.

Enjoying them, harken back to the days of super-prep fashion in the '80s when I was in high school. Love them in the durable leather, very comfortable. Size ran a bit long.

I had these in college (1998) and I loved them. Plan to wear them again all the time.

Never gets old... Old school styling that never goes out of style. They look great and fit well, too. Get maybe a half-size smaller if you want them to fit snugly. Unless you have particularly wide feet. Otherwise, great shoes! I've always preferred the look of these over Chucks, so if you like those I think you'd probably like these, too.

Converse Jack Purcell Leather - Very satisfied with these shoes, looks great with everything, get lots of compliments, there is a little break in time rubs a little at back of ankle, just wore them with socks for a while. Did have to send them back twice because they run a full size smaller (I'm normally a sz 8) and ended up with a sz 7(men's 5.5) which was still a little big. Good for walking around all day, but did need to alternate when I was on vacation, could not wear them everyday, they are a bit heavy and my feet got tired. All around a great looking shoe with moderate comfort.

Great Buy. Stylish. Timeless. By far, one of the best and most versatile sneaker purchases I've made in a while. You can wear them with casual wear or even dress them up a bit for work. Plus, they are super easy to clean (keeping the shoe strings clean may be a hassle, but you can always get spare sets from Wal-Mart for around 80 cents). Keep in mind that YOU WILL WANT TO ORDER A HALF SIZE BELOW YOUR REGULAR SHOE SIZE (I wear a 9 and purchased an 8.5--they fit nice and comfortably snug). Perfect for the adult (I'm 24), who loves their sneakers, but likes them low-key. Everyone who has seen them has loved them and given me numerous compliments. Definitely one to buy!

Really Nice Shoes - The shoes have a real nice look and are comfortable and light on the feet. I ordered these initially because GQ Style guys listed this as one of the shoes they recommend saying that these are what you should wear with jeans instead of running shoes. On the first order I ordered the size I had for my New Balance shoes (10 1/2s) and found that they were huge. So I went for a size 9 and they fit much better though might even be an 8 1/2 with these. Highly recommended!

Great sneakers! A classic in leather. Love these shoes! They are the only sneakers that I wear and the leather version, in my opinion, are more comfortable and durable than the canvas version. I also love the fact that they are machine washable. Such a bonus! An all around great shoe. It runs a little large in leather. If you wear an 8.5, order an 8.

Jack Purcell’s are great - Although the Jack Purcell’s run big (see order size chart) they still feel great on my foot. I would recommend the leather over the canvas. They are just more comfortable. The have that classic look that I love and will wear them all the time for spring summer (even though I don't believe they ever went out of style. Everyone man and woman should own a pair!!

Nice Clean Lines - Glad Converse made this in the leather version -- exactly what I was looking for. Size-wise, I felt the 8 was good but I also ordered the 7.5 to see which would fit better. The 7.5 felt way too small, to the point of pinching my toes. It's almost as if it was a 7 instead! I returned the 7.5 and stuck w/ the 8.

They look great! I actually bought these for my boyfriend because his All-Stars were completely falling apart and it's really cold and snowy in Illinois this year. These are working out wonderfully for him. The leather is a MUCH better insulator and they're easier to clean too. He loves them, but did complain they're a bit heavy... I guess if you have weak ankles or other foot ailment, or were planning to wear them at a job where you walk around a lot, they won't be as comfortable? Oh well... at least they look GREAT. Also, remember to buy a half size larger--Converse tends to run a big larger in their shoe sizes.

Eyelet # based on size - These definitely run long (I wear a 9 - 9.5 and have to return for an 8.5), but are very cute! The picture displayed is correct - depending on the size you wear; the number of eyelets on the shoe increase as the size increases (from 5 to 7).

Surprisingly Comfortable... I ordered these bad boys because I liked the way that they looked but when I got them & tried them on, they were way more comfortable than I expected them to be. They slipped right on & wore them all day in total comfort. Great shoe!
