One boot felt great, the other boot had a spot that pressed into the back of the heel, it would have been intolerable if I had to wear them.

This is a good work boot for its price, but I don't foresee them holding up in the field for very long. I've owned these boots for only a month and the souls are starting to creak. I imagine they will be separating pretty soon. Also, these boots are borderline dangerous to walk in snowy conditions. The way the tread on the should is designed, there is very little tread to keep the boot from sliding sideways on packed snow. They will lose lateral grip unpredictably, so much that I will be replacing them soon for this reason. One other aspect I do not like is the leather is too soft not very durable. Too many issues popping up within a month of owning these boots. I will not even bother contacting the Timberland. Maybe I got a fluke set but I'm not willing to find out again.
Summary: This is a good "stylish" boot, but I can't recommend them for professional use.

I wear these boots all the time, everyday, whether to work, shopping, or anything else I do. I have bought these for many years already, and they always have held up, and are very comfortable. They are the only footwear I use because of the comfort and support on my ankle, which I broke years ago. The ankle support is great! I will continue to buy these boots as long as Timberland makes them available!

I like everything about this boot except for the fact it is not waterproof. I do grounds keeping, and even just walking through grass in the morning, my socks will be wet. Now that winter is here, it will probably be even worse. I purchased these as an indoor/outdoor work boot, and was disappointed that they are not keeping the most minimal of water out. If you don't plan on getting wet, then these boots are great!! Very comfortable(after break in) and the soles haven't started separating yet, which I've heard other people mention. Great boot besides lack of waterproofing

Great product, never been more happy with the comfort and fit of these boots. It is like walking on clouds all day long. These boots feel like they were sent from heaven, and are gods greatest gift.

I really liked the look of these and they seemed to be the perfect work boots, but the the medium width was just too narrow and caused some serious discomfort at work. I have never worn a wide shoe, but I am exchanging them for a wider width.

I ordered a size smaller than I usually order because these run a little large. These boots were great for 8 hour shifts.

Bought my first pair at Sears in 2003 working in a warehouse. Now I work for the city in public works. I am a underground utility inspector. I visit several jobsites a day.. I've gone through 5 or 6 pair of Tim's PRO and have also tried other boots. Some more expensive, mostly some less expensive.. But Always come back to Tim's because it's the best bang for the buck. Comfortable and long lasting.. need I say more.

Feels spot on in terms of size. Toe box is nicely formed with plenty of room. Styling is simple but looks good. Lacing is strong. First real work boots for me but I think they'll more than meet the tasks ahead.

Boot fell apart after less than 2 dozen uses. Go to amazon to see how it fell apart. Timberland isn't what it used to be.

I have been wearing this style boot to work for the last few years. I switched from the regular 6" pro to the pit boss a few years ago and although I like the other boot these just feel more comfortable. I am on my feet on the job about 12 hours a day and I couldn't ask for a better boot.

I work in shipping that recently required steel toe shoes. I was previously using timberland pro mudsill shoe by choice but the durability didn't last. Thought I give timberland one more chance.
The shoe looks amazing, doesn't feel to heavy but well built. The steel toe box has plenty of room. Been using these for two weeks now feel good so far, however I did switch out the insole only because I already had some from my last work boots and they were still Fairly new. My feet do not hurt after a days work, which is always a good sign. One thing I noticed is that my foot feels secure in this boot and I don't have to over tighten the laces either.
Would definetly update on the durability.

My son wears these boots 365 days/year because he has limited use on his left leg and needs a brace to walk. This boot is one of the few that comes in a 15 W ( his size and hard to find) and offers good ankle support. We replace the boots about once a year. His last pair has fallen apart - the soles are separating and he has not had them a full year. Based upon the recent posts, I believe there must have been a bad batch where soles separated regardless of time worn or the amount of wear and tear. I hope Timberland will reconsider their position on replacing the shoes with soles separating.
Because my son finds these books a great fit and usually wear well, we will continue to purchase.

A solid boot. I bought these to replace a pair of 10 year old Doc Martens that were finally wearing out. They're comfortable, true to size, and incredibly sturdy.

My Dad remodels homes and I buy these for him every year. He's a size 13 standard width and they're the most comfortable for standing all day, everyday.

My husband loves these boots, but they are falling apart. He hasn't had them very long and is very careful with them. The soles are coming apart already. Not happy.

Purchased both the Soft Toe and Steel Toe size 9 versions of this boot. Compared side by side the Steel Toe definitely has a larger profile when viewed from the sole of the shoe upward. I also felt that the boot was less comfortable around the ankle for some reason . Perhaps I tied the boot tighter to get a snugger fit, due to the extra room seemingly caused by the steel toe cap? Not sure. I noted this with both the left and right boot. I kept the soft toe boots which are great.

My work time is split between the field, the office, and the test lab and these boots are great in any of these settings.
After initial break-in (2-3 days) these boots just keep getting better. I can spend 10-12 hours on my feet and feel great. Excellent comfort and support.
Comfort of mind knowing I am protected from electrical shock, oils, and impacts.
Of course try them on first - everyone's feet are unique. I tried the Direct Attach first and not a good match. You have to find the boots that agree with your feet! I did and these are it!
Even if my company allowance won't cover the entire cost, I will kick in the rest knowing I will have slipper-like comfort all day, everyday.

I bought my first pair probably around a year and a half ago. I put these boots through complete and utter hell. Most of it was land clearing. Being ankle deep in mud and muck. They held up! I'm now in residential construction and they're more than I need.

I bought these for my husband because I read on a website they are rated top 10 shoes/boots for mechanics. He says they are so comfortable. He loves them! True to size.

Great boot. Seems really resilient to whatever you throw at it. Since the last time I bought Timberland Pro's they made the normal shoe with a lot narrower so when in doubt I'd suggest going with the wider boot. Inserts that they come with are okay, but if you plan on walking and standing for very long periods of time then I would suggest getting a new insert for them. Overall I would definitely buy again.
