This is my daughter's second year of ballet, and our second pair of Capezio ballet shoes. Both years, I've ordered a size bigger to get the correct fit. Last year's held up well, and I anticipate these doing the same.

Having not looked at this type of shoe in person before, I didn't realize that elastic runs around the opening and ties into the bow on the toe. This makes the shoe adjustable which is helpful for little, growing feet. My daughter wears a toddler size 9 and I ordered a size up as some reviewers suggested. I should've ordered her correct size but decided to keep them and tighten the elastic opening instead. Appear to be good quality. 3 year old loves wearing them. Holding up to pretty frequent use for a month now.

These are wonderful ballet slippers. I purchased this a second time when the first pair got too small. She doesn't complain of any discomfort and so I can't complain either. I would recommend!

Slippers were perfectly adorable for my toddler! She needed a wide width which was challenging to find & Zappos had them! Our little one is loving dance class and her new shoes!

So far so good. I bought these for my 3 year old daughter for her Ballet 1 class. I got her a size 11 and it is just a little big (she normally wears 10 - 10.5) but they are fine. I like having a little growing room for kids stuff. And the little bow at the toe can be tied tighter to cinch up the elastic band around the top of the shoe to make it fit a little more snugly.

My 7 year old LOVES these ballet shoes. I bought these along with another brand on Zappos and she will ONLY wear these. They are a very pretty pink, not the beige-type pink. I definately recommend it.

These are very cute, and I love the comfy wide elastic strap, but they run a whole size small. My daughter is a wide size 5. I ordered a 6 because her feet are exactly a 5, and I wanted to give her room to grow. They just barely fit her, so I'm sending them back. Otherwise, they're adorable, and great quality soft leather. Love the true ballet pink/nude color.

These little ballet shoes are flexible, comfortable (no red rub-marks,) adjustable, and provide just enough traction for my two-year old to slide around safely in dance class. As others suggested, I purchased a size 8 even though my daughter wears a 7, and they fit just right with a bit of room to grow. I'll be buying these again!

This is a great ballet shoe but it runs quite small. My 2 year old wears a 6.5 and I ordered a 7.5, which fits well. It's very cute!

These are working great for my three year old. I did order them s size larger then her normal shoe size so they would hopefully fit throughout the year of dance. They seem to run a bit small. I did put cotton balls that I squished into the toes so that they felt better while her feet grow.

I have a 3 yar old with wide feet. She normally wears a 9W shoe so I bought the 9.5 W and it fits great. They seem to be wearing well and she is very comfortable in them.

Nice shoe for kiddos with wide feet. I ordered one size up as suggested in a wide and it fits great. The elastic at the end helps to make the fit a little tighter or looser for your liking.

We're so happy with these shoes, and with Zappos for making this easy! They are perfect for my three-year-old's first ballet class. The elastic strap and ties make them more adjustable to stay on her foot, and the materials are good quality. My daughter has attended a few classes already and looks forward to wearing these shoes.

I love these for my girls! I always get narrow (my girls have normal width feet) because I find ballet slippers are too wide on their little feet unless I get the narrow. I went up 1/2 a size and they fit perfectly, with just a little extra room growth.

Great shoes for toddler ballet class. Easy to get on and off. The little bow is a small elastic pieces that goes around the top part of the shoe. It didn't really do much to make the shoe fit better, but didn't really need it either. I am choosing that the shoe felt true to size,when the shoe seemed a little smaller than a tennis shoe with the same size. I believe this is typical for a ballet shoe, so keep this in mind.

My three year old granddaughter enjoys twirling around on her toes like a ballerina, and these shoes give some protection. They are well constructed and an excellent value.

This is a classic ballet shoe. The bonus is not having to sew in the elastic strap since it arrives already attached. I ordered this in a size 6M for my daughter who is between a 5 and a 6 but it they were way too small. I'll be returning it for a size 7 and am hoping that will have some growing room. I won't deduct stars for sizing since ballet shoes are inherently tricky. FYI, these shoes have no arch support but no ballet shoe should.

I thought these were a great shoe for my daughter - my only complaint is the bow comes untied all the time.

These are great, they are sized just like street shoes so no need for a conversion. Since I know she'll outgrow them before she wears them out. I'm not even careful and let her wear them around as real shoes, which she loves!

My daughter wears the same size Capezio ballet slipper as her regular shoe size which is 9 1/2-10. The 9 1/2 ballet slipper is too short, now. A half size larger (10 1/2) is too long to wear to ballet class without tripping or falling. Therefore, I disagree about "ordering 2 sizes too big." Good thing Zappos ships free both ways so you can try it on!

Per the recommendation of other customers, I ordered this one size larger and they fit perfectly. They are the same durable soft ballet shoe I grew up wearing.

Seemed to be true to size, but we bought a little bigger (1/2 size) based on the reviews. Because of the drawstring it can be tightened, so being a little big was fine and allows growing room. Our daughter (3) loves them.

Well made sturdy slippers. My granddaughter puts them on by herself and loves dancing around the house. She even dances on her toes! They are very fun for both of us.

My daughter measures size 8.5 in street shoes. She has a little bit of a wider foot. I ordered the 9.5 wide, the 10 wide, and the 10.5 wide because of all the mixed reviews. The 9.5 fit her like a glove which was fine, but I wanted just a bit more room so she wouldn't grow out of them during the 9 weeks of ballet lessons. I read online somewhere that you don't want them to fit sloppy at all. The 10.5 was way too big, but the the 10 wide fit perfectly with a little bit of room to grow. The draw strings are really helpful in cinching the shoe to make a perfect fit. I would recommend ordering 1 1/2 size bigger. They are cute, soft, and really adorable!
