Works perfect for my daughter and her ballet class... Holding up well too. Very happy with the purchase.

Perfect first ballet slipper! As other reviewers noted, these do run small. This is because ballet slippers are supposed to fit tightly to your feet. If you are ordering as dress up/play shoes, you may want to go up a size or two. These are excellent shoes however. The leather is soft, the elastic strap works well and leaves no red marks. Only complaint is the straps do tend to come unknotted a lot.

Shoes were lovely but even though we measured child's food, they were too big.

Love these! Although I think with the first pair I ordered for my daughter was a bit too small, but she ended up wearing them during the first session. This is now my second time ordering and I’m so glad I went with a half size UP this time around. Highly suggest doing so.

These are terrific ballet shoes. We have had many pairs, as my daughter grows, and they are always comfortable. Reasonably priced. No complaints!

These are perfect shoes for a little ballerina. They are soft and flexible, and they stretch enough that little ones can put them on easily. I like the suede sole and leather material, which gives it a ‘real’ look. My daughter was comfortable and happy in these shoes for her ballet classes.

These ballet shoes were perfect. After reading the many reviews I decided to order a full size larger than my daughters normal shoe size and it fit perfectly. Her feet are pretty average not wide or narrow. Love that you can adjust the bows to tighten the sides of the shoes.

The size 9 is about 5.5 inches, which is small for a 9 so these are being returned. Size up as the others have recommended.

I was never a ballet person growing up so this is new for me now that my daughter is starting it. You definitely have to size up but it is still tricky. The bow on the front is actually functional. You can pull on the cording to allow to cinch down the shoe around the top of the foot. Hope this helps other moms whose learning curve is steep.

Ballet slippers always run small. These are my daughter's instructor's required shoe for all classes and they usually last a full school year if we size up half a size. I buy fresh for the recital every spring.

I bought these slippers for my daughter, who is 5 years old. She has wide feet and only a few shoe brands sell shoes in the wide width so I'm thankful that these fit her comfortably. She sometimes wears them around the house for no reason at all so I know they are comfortable. I will keep buying these shoes as long as she wants to continue dancing.

I always wore Capezios as a child and they are still the best quality dance shoes. Like most ballet slippers, they tend to run small, so I always order a size up.

These shoes were recommended by my daughter's dance school. They fit well and she says they are comfortable to dance in.

I bought these for my 4yr old niece for ballet class. I bought them a half size larger for room to grow. The fit was slightly lose but stayed in place and will work well for now and as she grows.

I love these shoes! They are great quality. I was really worried about picking the right size. My daughter has small chubby feet. Her street shoes are a size 6 though she's close to growing out of them. I ordered a 7.5 M. They are perfect. She has just enough room in the toe and you can tighten if needed. Ballet shoe strings are always super long. You can tuck or cut them if needed. If I had bought her street shoe size they would be way too small. I definitely recommend sizing up at least 1 shoe size maybe 1.5 but 2 sizes might be too much. I think all the variation in review really is because even if two kids have the same street shoe size their feet may be completely different. Ballet slippers are minimal so they are going to fit each foot type differently. If your Child has long feet size bigger if your child has short feet size up but not as much. If your child has super wide feet consider the wide width and same with super narrow. Also, I ordered these late Saturday and got them Tuesday with free shipping. You can't beat that!

Great little dance shoes for my 6 year old. Comfy and adjustable, and sturdy so far.

My daughter loves these. They're easy to get on. The only downfall is that they come un-tied easily.
