Thrilled to have Uggs, but not sure they live up to the hype - My Uggs are so comfortable and versatile. I am not certain that they are as warm as their claim to fame. I wore them around the house and was thrilled. Outside in Minnesota, not so much. In addition, I wore them once without spraying them with protectant and now I have a scar on the toe of one boot and salt marks on the other boot. I wish that there had been care instructions with the boots that told me to treat them before I wore them. Now, I have expensive boots that are tarnished. Please don't make the same mistake. I am just frustrated that I got such an awesome gift and I can't be thrilled with the quality.

Don’t order the black ones! Great boot - comfortable, warm. Better without socks - there is room, but your socks will slide down your feet. This brings me to one problem. If you wear the black ones without socks, your feet will be black when you take the boots off - not a pretty sight. At least the dye washes off.

Overrated - I was very disappointed in the comfort of these boots. They also do not keep my feet as warm as my wool Stegmann clogs, which I wear without socks. The Stegmanns are far more comfortable and offer superb support. Overall, I would compare the comfort of these boots with a cheap pair of slippers.

Larger than normal size - I like the looks of Uggs. Their sizing is larger than typical USA sizes. They are very warm and work well in colder climates.

Leaves feet BLACK - These are my favorite shoes ever BUT I HATE that they turn my feet BLACK!!! You're supposed to wear Uggs without socks so there should be a solution to this like a white bottom interior.

My original rating would have been five stars, but now I am changing it to two. I am very disappointed in how short a life my boots had. I had been thrilled with my pair of Ultimate Shorts for two years. They were comfortable, warm, and easy to walk in. I only wear them a few times a year, so I have worn them a total of around 15 or 20 times since I bought them in October 2010. When I put them on for the first time in January of this year, I noticed my foot had a chilly spot. It was not cold enough for me to check the boot, I thought it was a spot that must have gotten wet and reminded myself to respray them when I got home. I was wrong, they were not wet. The seam between the foot and the sole has come apart. The price has gone up considerably since I first bought them and now I have to decide if it's worth replacing them.

So sad...I was looking for a Ugg like boot with replaceable arch support when I learned about these. But the removable foot bed proved to noticeable...and not in a good way. On the edges in the footbed area. I am a 6 in shoes. So a 5 womens/ 4 kids in Ugg land. The kid version seemed thinner and not same height. I happened to have an Ugg replacement insole. That helped...but golly seems silly to put a replacement in a new pricey shoe. Admittedly the replacement version is probably going to be the one that you can get when you are ready to add a fresh insole down the road.

I am now a new UGG nut! And I have been a Zappos nut since its beginning! I have decided to write a review to cover several style UGG boots and slippers for those of you who may be having trouble picking sizes and styles. My foot has a high arch/instep, medium width/B, size 8, as measured by a Brannock device. I am a size 8 in dress shoes and a size 8.5 in sneakers/low cut boots/hiking boots where I wear thicker socks. This year I bought 2 pair of UGG boots, Mayfaire’s in a 9, Kensington’s in a 9 and two pair of UGG slippers, Coquette’s in an 8 and Tasman’s in a 10. I wear all of these barefoot as that is the expectation of UGGs. I tried but returned the UGG Cozy II slipper size 9 because while it hugged my fore foot well, it was heavier and stiffer than the Coquette and Tasman. I also found my toe slamming into the front of the sipper. I couldn’t go a size bigger like in the Tasman without having 2 inches of shoe behind my heel. Also the tag under the heel area was a real disappointment. The Ultimate Short boot size 9 was the most padded of all the UGG boots I tried, but it offered zero ankle support and was narrow feeling in the fore foot area. The style boots I chose as mentioned above hug my ankles well and also help keep my toes from slamming into the front of the boot which I hate. Also these styles offer some wiggle room which is important for me to prevent cramping. Regarding the slippers, the Coquette’s are the most snuggly slippers I’ve ever worn. I found the bomber jacket color to fit snugger than the chestnut color. This worked out well for me because after a week of wear they stretched width wise a bit. However, this is not an issue and they still stay on my feet due to all of the wool. The Tasman stays on my feet a little better than the Coquette’s and its look reminds me of a classic house shoe. I found that the Tasman pushed my foot towards the front of the shoe due to its design. This then forced me to a size 10, but still hugs my foot well due to the wool. All are plush and comfy and I couldn’t be happier. I’m glad I finally decided to give in and try UGGs after resisting all of these years! Oh and I purchased the UGG Sheepskin and Care Kit and an extra Water and Stain Repellent from Zappos which had the best pricing. When I dropped brownie mix on my boot I was glad I did! I guess you can say I went NUGGTZ! Good luck in your purchases!

Honestly, I had been waiting awhile to see if the Ugg trend would fade away and since it hadn't, I decided to give in and go for a pair to see what the big deal was. Maybe I'm a shoe snob, maybe I'm just accustomed to my Danskos which offer me superior comfort and arch support. Seriously folks, I don't understand what all the hype is. If you want warm feet, buy some wool socks (that dare I say, can be washed after each use). The idea of no socks just puts me off a bit. My feet hurt after wearing these around my house, let alone attempting to wear them out all day. There is no arch support and no support if you happen to have any amount of pronation, but I do have to say that they are warm. I have to believe that I'll certainly get more bang for my shoe buying bucks elsewhere, which is why I have returned these to find a more well rounded pair of winter shoes.

Stick to the CLASSICS- I own several pairs of the UGG "Classics", in both short and tall and they, in my opinion, are far superior to the "Ultimate’s". I am very disappointed in my choice to stray from what I already know to be a great, all-around boot. The "Ultimate’s" are too heavy, bulky, and you miss out on the REAL Ugg experience of comfortable, warm, cozy slipper-like boots.

Ugg ultimate short boot - I bought a size smaller than I wear because I have narrow feet and it did the trick. They feel wonderful and they dont bounce around on my feet

I ordered this boot to replace the same one I bought 10 years ago that is finally starting to show its age but was disappointed to discover how bad the quality has become. I compared the fur, and while the old fur was clearly quality lamb fur, the new fur looked synthetic and cheap, which might be why the company included a sticker saying that the fur is real. I also looked at the tag on my old boots, which were made in New Zealand (it showed in the quality craftsmanship and excellent cold-weather performance), while the new boots are made in China. Disappointed that UGG has traded in its unique, respectable New Zealand workmanship for cheap Chinese manufacturing, maintaining the same price for a far inferior product.

This shoe is gorgeous and is much more comfortable than it looks. I bought it in wine and cannot wait to wear it. Feels true to size (I wear a 7.5/8 and bought an 8.) One word of warning: there is no tread on the bottom and it seemed a little slippery just walking around my house. I love this new brand; I can't wait to buy more of their BEAUTIFUL shoes!

Looks good, but not as comfortable as the old style! These boots look good but they are not as comfortable as the old style. I wanted the same comfort as the others I have and these fall short. They do not feel the same all around. Wearing them for outings have shown me that the comfort level is a lot lower than the original style. My socks and feet also get stained from the dye????? Not a good choice. I can't blame Zappos for this at all. This is a wonderful company. This is definitely a problem on the manufactures part. Like the old saying "don't fix it if it isn't broken".

BLACK DYE still transfers on feet & ruins pedicures!! These boots are an Ultimate Disaster. I received these for xmas and it is outrageous that the BLACK DYE continues to ruin pedicures. With or without socks the black dye transfers to feet, through socks, onto to carpets, tiles, etc. If you love filthy feet, ruined pedicures & ruined socks, these are the boots for you! You may also be into the matching gloves which also transfer BLACK DYE and ruin your manicure!!
