I loved these boots but the soles are coming apart at the seams where they are stitched, I mean chucks are just coming off. I take care of my boots and condition the leather and don't do any rough work in the just basic outside work and everyday wear. They were great until this year.

I expect to be able to wear boots after a week with just socks. Not bandaids and socks. Then after a month - no socks required. The interior of these boots leaves something to be desired. The interior seems are sharp and pretty thick. So using my Dremel to take the edges off. Other than that, a quality product. Just not meant for the everyday wearer.

I have bought many pairs of these Ropers boots over the years, and I like them so much that I thought to buy another pair-(note: during Covid19..) in case this style would not be made anymore. Well... apparently, the dye color is a dark brown now- and also not distressed looking. Upsetting. I am returning them today, and hoping that with my friendly note, they will send the original color---- If so, I would buy 2 pairs. ( In case the new "distressed brown" is forever gone). The Ropers are GREAT boots! Comfortable, durable , and sweet looking!

I've always worn Ariats and love them but they are manufactured in China and in this current Covid crisis I certainly would prefer only to purchase items made in the US. I'll be looking for a new boot manufacturer for my next purchase.

My comments are not about size, width or style. This is about a problem with the last two pairs of Ariat Boots that I have purchased for my husband. After wearing for about a week to ten days, both pairs of boots developed a peculiar odor. My husband does not have a sweaty foot odor problem. The odor was like musty rotting leather. Hard to explain. He has worn Ariat boots for many years with no problems. But the last 2 pair.....what stinkers! Ariat, check your leather vendors.

Great looking boot, but overall a way smaller feeling. Could not even get my foot all the way in.

I bought these boots about a year ago and love them so much I ordered another pair. I wear 11B (unusual) so the size availability was important. However the new pair arrived 1/2 size smaller, even though they were stamped 11B. I sent them back disappointed.

Nice plain boot, but looked like shiny plastic beside the distressed finish of the Chippewa boot that I ordered at the same time. It looks more dressy than I thought, and not at all like a casual riding boot, which was what I was after. Also, although it fits a bit small,it is extremely comfortable! I am returning this boot as it is not exactly what I was looking for.

Like a few other reviewers said, the boot can be difficult to put on if the instep is high. Also, my husband did not like the seam and pull tab rubbing inside the boot. He may prefer a shorter boot as well.

I like the boots. The color is much darker than the picture. I should have known, the video I watched showed the correct color.

These are beautiful, well-made boots, but I can't wear them. I am a woman who wears 10.5 W in women's, 9.5 C in men's shoes. Ariat women's did't fit me. I ordered these in 9.5 2E men's and they are too tight on my left foot and I couldn't even get my right foot past the shaft. Even so, they were an inch longer than my foot. I have tried other Ariats--they are excellent quality and recommended by my sports med doctor for my plantar fasciitis as work boots-but have the same problem. I ordered another style in 8.5 2EE, still not wide enough, but too long. The 2E width is no wider than other brands' C. They seem to be designed for people with long, narrow feet.

Need some new work boots and saw these were recommended by others in my field. I own two other pair of Ariat boots, both the same size. I ordered these in my normal size and was extremely disappointed to find these were way too small. It was impossible to get my feet in the boots.

Incredibly stiff and difficult to get on and off. Fit fine once I was able to get them on, so its not a size issue. Really wanted to like them, but had to return.

I've had Ariat boots for over 30 years. I ordered the same boot to replace my old worn out set. Using the size printed on the boot I made my order. The new boots are more narrow and stiffer than my Oder pair. I probably will not order any more because the quality has declined.

Worst communication ever. This company does not care about its customers. All you get are rubber stamped replies to emails and reviews. My husband loves the boots and they nice but the company brings the rating down. Here I thought a female operated business would be better. Never again.

Had an older pair for 5 or so years and they were by far my favorite boots. They came apart recently and so I wanted a new pair. I ordered a pair and got them but there was something wrong with the left boot in the arch. I returned them and tried to get another pair from a store and that was a whole process too, order got canceled several times before I actually got them, and when I get them it's the same problem. I'm really disappointed that I can't have my favorite boots again. The older model was superb, but there seems to be something wrong with the newer ones. I very sadly can't recommend them anymore.

Beware, If you have wide large feet please skip these. I got an 12EE and after a day of use I felt pain for over a week. They look nice tho, just never reach for them.

I have a pair of Quickdraw's in 10B which fit really well (I'm just not a big fan of square toes). I had assumed that these would fit about the same- not so! The heel cup is wider (wider than my Heritage Stockman's in 9 1/2D) & the overall fit is 'looser". As others have mentioned, the seams on the inside of the boot have eaten my ankle bones raw (compared to my other Ariat's- the seam looks wider/bulkier). I do like the look of these boots & the fit may improve with break-in (if I can wear them that long)- we'll see.

Boots look "ok". Sized smaller and narrower than other shoes. Worse thing is that the inside thick seams rubs against your ankles making them very uncomfortable and sore skin. I had to stretch them out by stuffing towels in them for weeks just to be able to wear them. Unfortunately, I wore them before I could exchange them. I would not buy these again.

I owned a pair of these purchased 10+ years ago. They were incredible boots and so, after many good years of service, I replaced them 2 years ago with exactly the same boot. Unfortunately, after 2 years of wear, these boots still will not break in. I can only wear them for a couple hours and then have to take at least a week break because my ankles get so cut up. I think there is something wrong with the seam on the outside of the boots that causes them to dig into my ankle. I'm so sad because I really want these boots to work, but I think it's time to call it quits. Too nervous to buy another pair and have the same thing happen so will be looking for a different brand.

The boot fits looser than similar boot in other brand. I've replaced insole and still feel unsteady and loose. No choice but to wear and probably won't try another pair.

The boots took a while to break in. The outside ankle stitch dug into my right ankle. Very little padding and support on the ball of the foot area. The boots looks good and shine up well. Good traction also. They are broken in now and I am going to have them resoled. I won't buy this style again. They were way too uncomfortable to break in. I have two other pairs of Ariats (work boots) that I very much like and are made in Vietnam instead of China. Personally I won't buy any more boots made in China.
