This is a very good shoe! It's very durable and flexible and is very good for my tap class. It's about 1/2 size too small, so order up.

These tap shoes are really nice, with soft lining and good quality leather. The taps are much better than those on a cheaper pair of tap shoes, but not professional level.
If you need arch support or have heel pain, do not choose a split sole like this. However, if you do not have any arch issues, these shoes offer great flexibility of movement.
I found these run about a half size small. I normally wear a size 9 with a medium to narrow foot. I had to exchange these for a 9.5.

Although I'm a novice tap dancer, I would like to recommend these Bloch Tap-Flex tap shoes. They are sturdy, yet very flexible, with a good, comfortable fit. They're excellent shoes for a very reasonable price.

These shoes are very comfortable. Everybody, who does tap dancing in my group, wears these shoes. I like them and recommend for everybody who would like to tap.

These shoes are super comfortable. I usually wear a narrow, but based on reviews stuck with the regular width and they are just right. I did not order a size or half size up because of my narrow feet. My regular size was fine. Can understand why people with wider feet might need to size up.

So excited to have a new pair of tap shoes after many years of taking a break from tap. They feel very comfortable and seem to be holding up well to intermediate/advanced tapping twice a week. A nice shoe under the $100 price point. My normal street shoe size (6.5) fit the best.

The review said this shoe runs small and suggested a 1/2 size larger, so I ordered an 8 instead of a 7 1/2. The shoe is a full size too big. I like the shoe very much and will reorder in a 7 1/2.

Extremely well made, comfortable, soft and supple leather with good tap sound. Fit good at 1/2 size larger than street shoe size (as expected - all tap shoes I've purchased run small.). Decided to purchase slip on Bloch tap shoe.

Didn't come with shoe strings? At least 1/2 size up from street shoe.

This is a great tap shoe but they run on the narrow size. Unfortunately you need to size up to get a bit more width.

First of all anyone that dances knows that Bloch sizes are CRAZY! They usually run small. I own the Block "Audeo" in an 8 1/2 and the are smaller than these which I ordered an 8. I would say these actually run true to size, maybe a little bigger. These are super comfortable and need no time to break in. I wore them the first time without socks and they didn't bother my feet at all.

I love these tap shoes. Great sound and very comfortable. Order a size larger than your street shoes.

I love these shoes. They have one problem. On a size 12 narrow the tap is not as wide as the shoe. This makes it impossible to make sounds with the inside edge of the tap when shuffling to the rear. I did some research and the taps on these are as large/wide as they come. What do people even longer feet with a medium or wide width do for side sounds? I had my taps removed and re-set at the inside edge of the shoe by a good shoe repair guy. The look funny from the front but considering I feel lucky to get shoes long and narrow enough for my feet I can deal with that.

Nobody else makes a narrow in my size so none.

I ordered the 12 Narrow, which I do need in some shoes, though an 11 1/2 is perfect most of the time...when I can find it. The shoes are very comfortable. The one problem they have is that the tap does not fit the shoe properly. It is not as wide at the metatarsal end as the shoes is, and my shoe is a narrow width. It makes not sense. I do not know what Bloch is thinking. What Iif i wore a wide width? I got no sound at all with taps to the rear (diagonally) until I had a shoe repair guy move the tap toward the inside edge of the shoe. It looks funny from the front to be sure, but as there are no taps made that I could find that do fit these shoes properly that was my choice. I am considering taking my other pair of shoes to a metal fabrication place to see if they can make a correct size tap for me, though it is doubtful that they will have a sound plate to go with them.

I bought these shoes as a replacement for an older pair of Bloch Tap Flex shoes. I was especially excited that Bloch still made this shoe in narrow. Unfortunately, in the intervening years they have changed the material of the sole of the shoe. When I first tapped in them they hurt, but I thought perhaps they just needed to be broken in. I added performance insoles; the shoes still caused pain. In class yesterday I yanked them off to return to my old pair with dead taps, and noticed that the sole the front taps are attached to are not the same material as on my old pair; they seem to be some sort of plastic now. I think Bloch cut corners, which is a shame, because now I have no idea where to get decent shoes for my narrow feet. Those of us with narrow feet have less natural padding, so our shoes matter. I do not recommend these at all.
