LOVE these tap shoes!!! Was a tap dancer growing up, but hadn't owned a pair of tap shoes in over 30 years. I often experience foot pain and thought I'd never be able to tap again. Thanks to a great chiropractor and these incredibly comfortable shoes, I'm tap dancing! Although many have ordered up a size, I ordered my usual size. They fit like a glove. The leather is supple and quickly conformed to my feet. No "break-in" period necessary. They were comfortable from the second I put them on. Highly recommend! Happy Tapping!!!

My 11 year old son is a tap dancer. I bought these shoes for him and he loves them. The leather is soft and flexible. I wear an 8 shoe and the 8.5 tap shoe fit me perfectly. My son's feet grow so quickly that he is wearing a 9.5 tap shoe and yet he wears a 9 shoe. So, to summarize, these are a supple leather shoe that is about a half size too small.

Envelopes the feet securely in comfort. I would definitely order one half size larger than your regular size.

This shoe fits my narrow heels better than the Capezio brand. There is good ankle support as it comes up the ankle a little higher than other shoes, thus cupping the heel better. I have an A forefoot and a AAA heel and my feet are FLAT. Its tough finding tap shoes that don't fly off! Only complaint I have, and its an anatomical issue, I believe...there is about 1 inch of interior space, or enough to curl my toes and tap in them at the forefoot. This makes toe taps and flaps a challenge to execute correctly. Looking for a shoe solution to this problem.

I read that some folks had to order an entire size larger, but not me. I wear either a 7 or 7-1/2 street shoe, and I ordered a 7-1/2 in this shoe and it fits perfectly! And I have a bunion which I am always struggling with, and so far, it doesn't hurt when I am tap dancing. Leather is soft and pliable.

So far so good! They felt too tight for socks but luckily they have enough cushion inside to make them comfy.

These shoes are so comfy! I switched from Capezios and will never look back. As with all tap shoes, the size is off. I take a Women's 10, but needed an 11 in this shoe.

Very comfortable. I wear a 9.5 wide usually. The 9.5 is a comfortable fit. It's snug, but comfortable, and as it stretches I expect it will not get too big. I can tap much better now that I have these Tap-Flex shoes. I was using the black patent mary janes and they have no give in them. They were even comfortable when I added arch support inserts, though I'm not tapping with the inserts - you need to have flexibility! :)

Excellent tap shoe. Much better sounds than the split sole Capezio. I ordered my normal shoe size, but had to exchange for a half size smaller. I have narrow feet but am glad I ordered normal width since these are narrow shoes anyways. Thank you Zappos for the fast shipping and easy exchange!

These tap shoes are more comfortable than my regular shoes. After reading the reviews, I ordered a full size larger than my normal size, and it was perfect.

I ordered a half size up based on other reviews. They fit perfectly right out of the box. I have danced in them several times and they are super comfortable. The uppers are soft and do not bug my bunions at all. The tap sound is good, though I admit that I do not have a professional tapper's ear.

Great tap shoes. Ordering from Zappos much easier and faster than going from dance store to dance store trying to find your size in stock, and/or waiting for them to order it.

Great fit right out of the box. Very comfortable. I usually wear a 7 and 7.5 so ordered 7.5 based on other reviews that it could run small.

These shoes are wonderful. They are a perfect fit in my regular size which is 6M, and the uppers are butter soft and so comfortable. The taps have a good sound to them on a hard floor.

These are very comfortable tap shoes. Got them for a weekly adult tap class I am taking. My son (who also takes tap) liked mine so much we got some for him and he is so much more comfortable in class now. Great service, as always from Zappos!

These are great. I struggled getting my normal 9.5 size, with the reviews saying they fit half a size too small. They do fit small, but a 10 would have been too big. I learned my lesson with my last pair of shoes, always get ones that fit tight, the genuine leather stretches and molds to your foot. The 9.5 is perfect.

These are very nice tap shoes. My 16 year old daughter found them to be really comfortable and she is pretty picky. The fit was pretty spot on I would order half a size bigger than what you wear, we did and the fit was perfect.

These are made from comfortable, soft and supple leather. We ordered one size up (manufacturer recommends ordering half a size larger as this shoe is cut small). The whole size up gave us ½" growing room for our daughter's quickly growing feet, without any slippage or chaffing as she dances because of the lace up design that allows you to adjust fit (unlike less expensive Mary Jane tap shoe styles). Ordering half a size up, as recommended, would be sufficient for an adult's or older teenager's feet that have stopped growing. We are very happy with this brand and shoe choice for our daughter's tap lessons. She outgrew her inexpensive taps we first got her to try out tap and she has said how much easier it is to dance in this better shoe and how much more comfortable they are. We chose to order from Zappos because of the free return policy (I was expecting to have to trade for a different size if the fit on our size estimate was too big - but, we chose the size correctly first try). These flexible soles allow tap students to do more than students without flexible soles - the toes and feet can be pointed and flexed into more positions in this style shoe.

I bought these tap shoes for my 11 year old son. They are very high quality and he loves them. They are comfortable and very nice sounding. They are far superior to the cheaper ones available for kids.

These shoes are great. Do not listen to the instructions that say to buy half a size larger. Get your street shoe size. That will fit perfectly. They are very comfortable and great to dance with!
