This is a fantastic shoe and works equally well with dresses and pants. It's amazingly comfortable for walking. My only quibble is that I walk long distances on the sidewalk and the pad on the bottom of the heel needed to be replaced almost immediately. The rest of the sole and the shoe is holding up well.

I love the heel height and comfort of my shoes the very first time I wore them. The price was outstanding.

I bought these shoes for my wedding (bad feet). I love them - comfy from the start! I'm not normally a wide, so they run narrow.

The Capezio Jr. Footlight is a comfy, sturdy dance shoe that can masquerade as an everyday shoe or take them out dancing some night too! Capezio recently added some cushiony insert fabric which I appreciate. In the dance world these shoes are called "character shoes" and are used to dance everything from flamenco to tap. Give them a try and you won't be disappointed!

This shoe was great! It fits perfectly and is oh-so-comfy. I couldn't be happier. I'm using it as a character shoe for the stage so it is just what I was looking for. I normally wear an 11 with an average width. I bought the size 12 and it was spot on for me, so I would recommend buying a size up. If you have a wider foot you may run into some trouble as there isn't a lot of extra space. The heel is a nice height. I am an extra tall gal so I really wanted a short yet secure heel, and this is great for that too. I would really recommend this shoe.

Great shoe. It is sized small though and I had to return the first pair for the next larger size. I wear them as a hospital volunteer (have to wear white shoes) and get lots of compliments.

No other shoe for stage work - I am an 11 wide. I read all the reviews and bought these in a 12 wide. They fit perfectly. As an opera singer, these are the definitive shoes for stage work as they fit in with basically all time periods and costumes and are a standard for what I need. My old size 11 wides had gotten too small, so I needed to replace them. These fit great and are quite comfortable. Do order up one size.

The unexpected - Ok, I work in a hotel and I am on my feet the entire 8 hour shift. Almost all the shoes I found and bought just did not give the comfort I needed. After wearing a pair of Clarks that made my entire right leg hurt from foot to ankle to knee to hip, I was just done and could not handle it any more. I looked on Zappos and just wanted something cheaper and black that would be comfy. These came up and I really almost passed for the one and only reason they are not all that cute, original, or eye catching, but b/c of the reviews and everyone saying they were comfy, I gave them a try. Grant you, they were dancing shoes and I was like… hey if they are comfy for that, then maybe just maybe they will work for me. I was skeptical to say the least, but surprisingly the first night I wore them at work, they were a bit small. I ordered an 11.5 and I normally wear an 11. They still were a bit small and my big toe rubs a bit inside making the first night tuff, but they wear in very well. Tonight is my 5th night wearing them and they are nice and broken in and I can actually say these are awesome and comfy and support me great. Who would have ever thought this from a dance shoe? I am gladly surprised and much thankful once again Zappos had what I needed and got it to me fast.

I wanted a pair of character shoes because I am involved in theater of all kinds, and I decided I should expand my theater/dance shoe collection (I only had one pair of black tie jazz shoes), so I saw these were affordable and classy (as I needed black shoes to wear to chorus/madrigal concerts and music festival auditions as well) so I decided to get them. After reading all the other reviews, I tried to order a 9W because I usually wear an 8M, but all they had left in black was 8M (only two pairs left!). I was hesitant at first to get them because i thought they weren't going to fit, but the next day when they came in the mail I tried them on and they fit perfectly! I was so happy. Either my feet aren't the size I think they are or the other reviews are wrong. But hey, whatever.

Very comfortable shoes! I bought these to wear to a ballroom dance class. They were so comfortable, I could've danced all night! I ordered one size up, because of the reviews, and I was glad, because they were a perfect fit! I wear a 7W, and I ordered an 8W. Perfect!

Great dancing shoe! I wore these shoes out to a dance and they were comfortable and fit well. There was no "breaking-in" required! I will state that I bought a 5 1/2 Wide, rather than my normal size 5 1/2. Other Capezio shoes seemed to run a bit narrow, so I ordered the wide and they fit and feel great.

Lovely, comfy shoes - These are wonderful. I'm wearing them in a play where I have to dance, run up and down stairs, and stand around a lot. I have Morton's neuroma, so I wear them with meta pads and have had no problems! I followed the advice in the other reviews and ordered a 10W instead of my usual 9M. Perfect fit! With the free overnight shipping and returns, there was no risk! I highly recommend these shoes and Zappos!

Top notch shoe - Excellent shoe for the price. Love this styling of shoe for regular street wear as well as dance. As a harp player they are the perfect heel height. I ordered a full size larger than my normal street shoe and it was a perfect fit. Zappos service & shipping top notch in my book!

So far these are a good shoe for comfort; however I have yet to wear them for any length of time. Good shoe to wear with pants. Like the heel height. I will order another pair in a different color if they continue to be comfortable after longer wear.

Capezios – I have been wearing Capezios for many years and suddenly I was unable to find them anywhere. I was so pleasantly surprised to be able to order them from you. The order was handled so well- I was amazed! They fit well and are comfortable to dance in!! I would recommend you to everyone I know--and I have!!

Buy one size larger - I recently purchased these shoes and found them too small. I ordered a new pair one whole size larger and a wide width. I have never worn this size or a wide width, but they ended up fitting perfect! Plus, I had them the next day with free shipping! A return label was emailed to me and I was able to easily return the small pair, again at no cost to me! I was very pleased with my purchase and with the customer service I received with the exchange. I will definitely buy again with Zappos!

Not bad for the price - The wide fits well, should definitely order a half size larger and wider. They look very nice; it starts to bother a bit in the front after 2 hours, but not too bad.

They felt great - The order came right on time before my play; I needed one time to break them in. This is the first time I have ever worn character shoes.
