I think these shoes run pretty true to size. Unlike the other reviewers, I can't begin to recommend this as a street shoe though. It’s a ballet shoe. It has sewn leather sole. Great for dancing, though.

Solid performance - Good construction, no gapping, nice contact on the floor.

Cute Shoes... I wear a 7 1/2 street shoe, 7 fit best for me. Felt tight at the toes, but stretched out after 20 minutes of wearing around the house. I don't dance; I wear these around the office at work. The more I wear them, the better they fit. Look great and dressy with work attire, but feels like I am running around barefoot, which is great. (Pull the stringy thing if it gaps around the sides.)

Flexible feet - Whether I am practicing yoga, stretching or walking around the house, my feet are so moveable it's like every step is an exercise.

I love this ballet slipper for a house shoe -- I never wear shoes in the house, and it's comfy as a pair of socks, yet looks presentable. I've worn these for years so was delighted to find them on the web. I don't like the elastic band over the instep, so had to take it out. I think in the past the shoes have come with the option of sewing in the elastic, which I would prefer.

Great but... The size guide says to order a size smaller than your shoe size. That wasn't such good advice. Will need to reorder in a bigger size!

WOW! These make me look SUPER cute! Well, thought I had to get a size smaller, but probably half size smaller would have done. And these were definitely not really made for wearing all day... BUT, they are SO cute. I NEED to get the white one too...

Nothing beats a classic- I have worn ballet slippers around the house for 30+ years for comfort, protection and the breathable warmth only leather can provide. From time to time, I have worn other professional brands, but feet are always happiest in Capezio's.

Great shoes for a non-traditional purpose... I am not a ballerina, and am not taking ballet classes; I ordered these shoes for one specific reason: I volunteer for a historical society in an 18th century farm house located in upstate New York. The ballet shoes work best with period costume and don't scuff the floor of the manor house. They serve their purpose well and are very comfortable. I would not recommend them if you were on your feet all day, they have no sole so it does take some getting used to, but overall they work. One last tip re: shoes, follow the size instructions on the website, they are true... Zappos is great too, fast and reliable. I will definitely be a repeat customer!

Not for ballet only - These are very comfortable shoes that mold to your feet. They are great for walking around airports. They look great with pants or skirts. I love them.

Perfection in ballet - These slippers were perfect from the moment I put them on my feet. I can't wait to get them on the dance floor.

Capezio Teknit Ballet - I was very pleased with the order and the slipper. My old slippers were Capezio's and I just needed to replace them and was very satisfied.

Great ballet shoe for everything--including ballet!!! I bought these shoes so I could comfortably move around on the Dance Dance Revolution pad, and have found myself wearing them whenever I am in the house. Very comfortable, light, mold to fit your feet. These are great if you are looking for a comfortable flat to wear at home, or at dance! I ordered mine 1/2 size smaller than my shoe size, and they fit perfectly after 2 wearings.

Ordering the correct size - For years I had worn Capezio ballet shoes as casual flats. I was happy to see Zapppos carried them. However, in the ordering information it said to order two sizes smaller than street size, which I did. They did not fit. I then ordered a size 9 which I used to wear-they did not fit either. I finally got a size ten and they are perfect. The free return shipping is great! Thank you.

Comfort! If you order the right size, these shoes are verry comfortable. I can only tell you that, however, from the standpoint of someone using them as street shoes. They're very classy and basic looking, and I would reccomend them to anyone who would otherwise buy ballet-style knockoff flats. I wear these things all the time, even in the house.

Sooo comfortable - Great fit and great price! I do not do ballet but have a back injury and can only do flats. These are really cool looking and very comfortable.

Ballet shoes are all the rage - I totally agree with other reviewers here. Get the real deal and get some real ballet shoes. I ues mine for house slippers and on dry days outside. OK they aren't designed for outdoor use and will wear eventually but the look is fantastic, they feel so comfy and be prepared for a very positive response from people admiring your shoes.

REAL BALLET FLATS - If you like the ballet flat look, do yourself a favor a buy real ballet shoes. Other shoe makers are making mocs of ballet shoes, none of which come slose to the comfrot of the real thing. The very soft flexible feel is amazing. I have tried many of the shoe brands and I recently bought the real thing and you couldn't pry them off of my feet. They fit form fitting and after a few days comform perfectly to shape of your foot. Your toes will litterally be dancing with joy. I love mine so much that I have worn them everyday since they arrived. They are soooo comfy and go straight from your favorite shoe to your favorite house slipper. Treat yourself! your tootsies will thank you.

Perfect for Homecoming/Prom - Super shoe for school dances, (especially when we all know they'll just suffer in pain and ditch the other "toe crunchers" they usually wear, just as soon as they can. (Probably after spending much for them too-heck why buy something that's going to be covered up by a long gown anyway). Daughter said she loved her "real" ballet shoes, (meaning they weren't slippers that just looked like ballet shoes), and was comfy all night. "Honey, if your feet don't feel good, then nothin's goin' to feel good".

Great customer service - The shoe I ordered online was actually out of stock. I was offered 1/2 size smaller in wide and thought it might work but it was too short and I cannot wear it. I was given the shoe for free due to the mix up! Thanks. It is a good quality shoe and would have been perfect except for the fit. If they want them back I would be willing to ship back at my expense because they were so nice.

Good ballet slipper - I wear this ballet slipper like a regular shoe because the look of the slipper is so much better than those so-called "ballet slipper" looking shoes they are making now. The only problem I had was the elastic strap wasn't pictured like it actually looks. It’s fatter than the normal elastic and says Capezio on it. Other than that, I like everything about this ballet slipper. It’s also very inexpensive, which makes it more appealing.

It worked for me... I used this shoe as part of my costume for a production of Romeo and Juliet. This was the actual play rather than the ballet, so I cannot comment on its suitability for serious dancing.

Bought for my wedding - I bought this shoe for my wedding after reading the reviews online. The shoe feels weird, I guess because I never took ballet:). It feels like my toes are hanging over the shoe at the front, but they are really not, its just that the bottom support of the shoe ends about 1/2 inch before my foot does. All in all I think that I will enjoy them for my wedding, and the price cant be beat for wedding shoes these days. I dont think that I will wear them after though. DO buy a size LARGER than you normally wear:)

Versatile shoe - I ordered a half size smaller than my regular shoe size (instead of the reccomended full size smaller) and they fit. These are the perfect comfortable, flat shoes I need for my wedding. Zappos free shipping is amazing, I received my shoes the next day!
