A little snug - I ordered the ballet slipper in a full size larger than I normally wear, and it still felt a little snug, but it stretches, so that's ok. I like the way it looks.

Teknik Ballet - If you want a ballet flat, get a ballet flat! Haven't worn these in, oh, 20 something years, but it's like wearing nothing! Love them! And Zappos of course has unbeatable service!

Perfect...fit and arrived very quickly - My 10 year old daughter was participating in a summer theatre group and needed a dance shoe. She is tall and wears a woman's size 9 so I felt a bit lost trying to find her a ballet shoe on such short notice (last time I bought them for her she was wearing pink and she was at most a size 1). Fortunately you had just the solution. Thank you. We love Zappos...both my daughters and I!

Not only for Dancing - I love this shoe, I wear them around the house and when a black shoe is required for band concerts that I am in.

Wedding reception shoes for dancing - These shoes are soooooo comfortable... I think I will be able to dance all night without problem.

Great bunion slipper - I have bunions on both my feet due to the weight I gained in my pregnancies. (I lost the weight but not the bunions.)I find I need to slip my feet into something soft and comfortable when I get home from work. I have been wearing ballet shoes for this purpose for over 20 years. These shoes are great for my tootsies. I was able to get them in a wide width to accommodate my bunions and the leather is soft. I recommend a 1/2 size larger than your sport shoe if you are using these ballet shoes for slippers and wear a sock with them.

YAY! These shoes are awesome. Since I have a wider foot, it's always been hard to find the right fitting ballet shoes. Many other stores didn't carry them in bigger sizes, either. Thanks to Zappos.com I got shoes that fit and look better!!

My thoughts - My only problem with this product was I could not adjust the heel to fit comfortably. It was either too loose or slipped. Or, it was too tight and dug into my skin. This most likely was due to owner operation and not the shoe itself.

Comfy and sexy! I love these ballet slippers! I bought them as an alternative to fake ballet flats and I'm so glad I did. I ordered 1 size smaller than my street shoe size. They were a bit tight at first but then conformed to the shape of my foot, and now they are incredibly comfortable, and look fantastic. I know these shoes are meant for the dance floor, and will wear out prematurely when worn on the street, but I'll just buy another pair. They are soooo comfortable, soft and flexible. I wear them as driving shoes and for times when I don't have to walk too far, but one thing I discovered is that if you order a slightly larger size and use Dr. Scholls-type insoles, you can walk around in them all day long. I think they look sexy with capris, and I even wore them with cutoff jeans this summer. It's fun to pad around in the mall, stand in line, and point my toes. I get looks of admiration (and very favorable comments, too), and they feel sooo good on my feet!

Zappos customer service is absolutely awesome! My shoes were shipped overnight with no extra charge. Thank you Zappos! Unfortunately, I have wide feet and a bit of a bunion problem, so they were too tight across the toes, so I will be returning them. Thank you for the free returns so I can work out my correct sizes. The quality seems great, though details such as the elastic tie are different than my last pair, bought many years ago. The top was cut a bit more open, too, which suits my foot a little better.

I love this shoe but had to order a full size larger and add on extra width from my typical shoe size.

I am grateful they fit my extra wide foot and narrow heel. And I wish the leather sole on bottom was wider, so my big toe felt the stronger leather instead of the softer leather.

These are the first ballet shoes I've had in about 20 years. Ballet shoes conform to your foot, and these are what they are supposed to be. I don't like the new elastic ties on them – I liked the cord they used in the old days better.

Cute shoes - Really cute but not great for long walks outside.

These run really small. My daughter was just measured at a shoe store as a 3.5 medium width. I ordered her a size 4 and it was still way too small. I will return it for a bigger size. I'd order up at least a full shoe size.

This shoe is tinier than I expected, and so is a bit uncomfortable. Not bad for a ballet shoe; but it does feel pretty disposable. Next time I'm going for the athletic version.

These shoes were not long enough; instead of usual size six I needed a seven. I suggest ordering at least half size larger because width is adjustable.

Ballet shoes - My daughter said they're real comfortable...

Zappos is the best. I ordered two sizes of this slipper for just in case one didn't fit, the other would. Unfortunately, the manufacturer has changed sizing (I still have a 25 year old pair) and neither fit; too small. Easily returned both and waited til the next larger size was in stock. when notified by Zappos I ordered another pair. They fit, but since they aren't made as well as they were 25 years ago I may not keep them. I know that Zappos will take them back easily. don't know for sure what I will do. I left shortly after they arrived for a 6 week trip and they are still at my home. Couldn't do this with any other company. Zappos is the best.

DeeDee- I love them. They have now become my every day shoes for around the house. In fact, I need to purchase 2 more pair.

Ballet Shoes - I have taken dance for about 8 years, and I am on competition team too, so I know how ballet shoes are supposed to feel. At my studio, no one even wears these shoes anymore, because it is impossible to fully point your foot. These shoes were incredibly uncomfortable too! I recommend the split sole shoes!

Great ballet slipper, does run small. I ordered these for my daughter who is involved in musicals and these are great stage shoes as well as ballet. I ordered one size up from her regular shoe size and they were a bit snug (understand that is probably a good thing for dancing) so had to return and order one and a half sizes up. Great service from Zappos. Overall a good shoe at a reasonable price, but sizing may be a little tricky for you.

Fantastic ballet slipper...but consider purpose for sizing - I ordered these for ballet. The Teknik is the slipper I've always preferred, and the construction and quality remains unsurpassed. I wear a 6 1/2 street shoe, and this slipper is really best ordered smaller for dancing, but Zappos was out of the size 6 when I ordered, so I took a chance on the 6 1/2. Alas, I'll have to exchange them--they really are too big for ballet, and will stretch to boot. That said, non-dancers who plan to wear these slippers around the house may prefer street size.
