I would have liked to give these shoes a higher rating, but I had pain from my bunion every single day I wore these to work (on my feet for 8 hrs). My feet were much better wearing my Dr. Scholl's tennis shoes.

I have wide feet, these were difficult to get on. Once I got them on the fit in the toe box just fine. I had to where them with no socks for the first day. Also I had to cut the elastic which helped a lot as they are too tight at the top near the ankle.

The fit is fine for me (I have large feet 12W). the problem I had is how long they lasted. I work 36 hours per week in a hospital, and these shoes were trashed four months after purchase. The sole pulled away from the actual shoe portion - leaving a huge hole along the front of the shoe. I take very good care of my shoes, and I really expected more use out of them.

Not very slip resistant. Great fit and feel, but slippage is a big issue. Work in a large prison kitchen on cement and degreasers make floor slippery. I do wear them when I am not working because they are extremely comfortable for just normal walking. Lots of cushion on the heels and fits arch well.

They did fit but there is virtually no cushion at all. To be fair I’m not used to being on my feet. I’m in nursing school and shoes similar to these are required. My feet hurt as if I’m walking on a hard floor, barefoot. I assumed by the brand and purpose of this shoe they would have been much more comfortable. Very disappointed because they were so expensive. Again, maybe they are supposed to feel this way but it seems doubtful.

I wanted so badly to love these shoes for work wear! But alas, upon putting them on for the first time, in the appropriate socks I found that they pushed the toes of my left foot uncomfortably into the front of the shoe, while the inside of the shoe top grazed against the toe 2nd to my big toe in a rough way. I knew this would bring on blisters and I'm past the age where I would endure this by wearing bandaids for weeks on end on my toes to "break in" these shoes. Sorry Zappos! They have to go back.

I thought this shoe was uncomfortable. I have a normal width foot, maybe slightly narrow, and this shoe in medium width felt tight across the upper part of my foot. It also came up kind of high on the front of the foot and as I walked the tongue part rubbed on my upper foot/front ankle and I could tell if I had worn them all day I would have been rubbed raw there. I was not happy with these at all.

The width of these shoes is great (I buy wide). The comfort is also great. The problem is that they squeak loudly!

Not that great - I work full time in a busy Manhattan restaurant. That means most days I am on my feet for over 10 hours a day. I bought these shoes with the hope they would give me all day comfort. That was not the case. There is no arch support in this shoe at all, the sole is slippery, and the look is not at all attractive. Not that I was really looking for a beautiful shoe. At times it feels as if I'm walking directly on the ground. If you purchase this shoe I would add some orthotics, arch supports, or some other insert to give you some all day comfort and support.

These were so tight on my feet. I took them off as soon as I put them on. Swapped for a larger size and it still felt just clunky and weird. Very uncomfortable. Not attractive either.

The heel fit is very snug. I have never had foot issues in my life and I am very active and athletic. These caused me to develop Haglunds Deformity over a few months despite not causing obvious pain/chafing when worn at work.

Most uncomfortable shoe ever---had to ice my foot immediately! It's made of a very hard plastic which hit every possible sore spot on my foot. If you have no foot problems (arthritis, bunions, and the like) and wear these shoes with thick socks they might be great.

I used to wear this shoe for years, and it helped me get through medical school and internship which required over 17 hours/day of standing on my feet! They were unbelievably comfortable and the only downside was that they squeaked on hardwood floors (which I didn't mind because they were so comfortable). I ordered a new pair this summer and after wearing it I realized my feet really hurt. I thought they perhaps needed breaking in but a closer inspection showed that the design had changed. They no longer squeak, but now they are unwearable and cause my plantar fasciitis and first toe osteoarthritis to act up. I am terribly disappointed as these were my everyday go to shoes, and now they are unwearable. Beware if you are ordering these!

Too tight across the in step and rubbed top of foot. Created a flexibility problem.

These are the most Uncomfortable shoes I have EVER worn. I was warned they run small so I ordered a full size larger. They just fit. It felt like I had 2 wooden boxes strapped to my feet! They top of the shoe comes up so high and is so stiff - it feels like it's trying to cut through your ankle. No arch support and no cushion at all from the sole. Very disappointing. Especially at that price.

Wish I got the shoes the positive reviews received - I don't know how I got such a lousy pair of Nurse Mate Doves when most other reviews were positive, but my pair did nothing for my feet. I wore them around the house before wearing them at work (bartender). Carpeting creates an extra cushion so wearing them in the house gives no true indication of how they will be at work. After 4 & 7 hour shifts my feet were in agony. There is NO cushioning around the ball of the foot and no arch support. I have wasted money as I can't wear them again or return them. The toe box gives a lot of room and that is the only positive I can say. The insoles need more cushioning and support. Do not recommend especially if you have a high arch.

Died quickly - This shoe did not last long. I am a restaurant worker and am on my feet all day. They were not very slip resistant, the bottom of soles started to peel and the cushy comfort died quickly.

Owie my knees! I bought these shoes at a nurse-specific sale at my hospital. I am a runner in my off-time and was looking for a pair of shoes to run around my busy ED in. My knees now hurt so badly!!! I had to get insoles for my arches but that didn't even help. Now I am going to burn them...or at least ask for my money back, don't know which.
