At last my hips don't hurt - I have arthritis in my hips, knees and ankles. In addition, I am carrying a whole lot of extra weight. Despite this, I am a very active person, gardening, splitting wood and taking care of 2 1/2 acres of lawn. Every morning I awake with hip pain. Sometimes the bursitis is so bad I can't walk for a day. These shoes with their control styling have corrected my walking style to the point that I do not have those problems at all and the day to day pain that I have has been reduced by half. They are not comfortable in the way that a feather bed is comfortable, but that is because they are making me walk properly for the first time in years. I actually keep them on in the house instead of getting rid of them as soon as possible. I had come to the point where I did not walk for exercise because I was in such pain from it. I have owned these shoes for about a month and have tripled the number of steps I am able to walk comfortably. I am well supported and when I take them off after walking a long way or having an active day, the difference in how I feel is just tremendous. Great for heavy people who roll their feet when they walk.

Addiction Walker an Outstanding Choice - I had never even heard of Brooks shoes until I found this shoe on Zappos and decided to try it. It's exceptionally comfortable and gives me a sense of balance that I don't find in other shoes. I have peripheral neuropathy and sometimes precarious balance. This shoe makes me aware of exactly where my feet are.

Ecco replacement - It took awhile to find this shoe, but it was worth it. The Ecco tennis shoe I'd been wearing was discontinued so when it was time to replace I didn't know where to turn. After several tries with other brands I tried the Brook's Addiction Walker & love it. I have problems with my arches & needed something with good support. This shoe isn't quite as lightweight, but isn't bad. Would recommend this shoe.

world touring - I'm on my second pair of Brooks Addictions. The first pair lasted 5 years now I'm using them to do yard work in. I have a sightly wide foot so I chose a wide width-great decision. My first pair helped me through two tours of Europe. I can't wait to see where the second pair takes me. Absolutely the most comfortable walking shoe you could ever buy. Thanks

Brooks's Addiction Walker shoe - The shoes have a comfortable fit, and most important, great support. I am very pleased that they look good also. I've spent a very long time looking for a shoe with this much support, comfort and look.

Zappos: The only place to buy shoes - I have been so impressed with Zappos. I've told everyone about this web site. You find what you want, the service is unbelieveable. I ordered one day and the shoes were at my door step the next day. What more could you ask for. I love my Brooks Addiction Walkers. My doctor told me they would help my feet, and they have. I can walk anywhere I want without foot pain. I have added a 1/2 inch heel insert so I have a 2" rise. GREAT. I will shop with Zappos again and again. Thank you... Great Service.

Brooks Addiction Walker - I needed a shoe for walking and came in a wide size as well. It also has a wide footbase for overpronating and this is it. I love this shoe and I love walking again in a comfortable shoe. I definitely will buy these again when and if I wear this pair out. Great choice for fit, comfort and walking.

Addicted to Addiction - I've tried just about every walking shoe out there, and this is "the one" for me. Like many people, I'm carrying some extra weight, but still want to remain active. This shoe provides great support,keeps my foot in line with each stride - no rolling. The cushioning reduces stress on my feet and knees. Exercise is no longer a painful experience.

I'm so glad I found Brooks Addition Walkers! I have arthritic toes, plus arthritis in the top of my feet, and decided to try the Brooks Addition Walkers. I am so pleased! I now am walking every day and feel so good. My next pair will once again be these shoes.

Finally! This is a shoe that felt worn-in the minute I put it on. I work in the medical field and am on my feet 12 hours a day. This shoe is as comfortable and as supportive as any I have found. Have recommended it to co-workers and will definitely purchase again.

The best shoes ever! This order was for a close friend of mine who has problem feet and she told me they are the best shoes she has ever worn. I now have three pair for myself: one white, one black, and a back-up black. I want to get a pair for my husband but you don't have his size and I keep checking. These shoes have it all; they look good, they are supportive in all the right places. We three have a myriad of problems; bunions, hammertoes, high instep, hip replacements needing maximum cushion, etc, and we ALL love these shoes. These are the best shoes I have ever worn.

This is the most supportive sneaker ever! Can be worn all day without tired, aching feet at the end of the day.

no break in needed! This shoe is wonderful! The first day I wore this shoe for 12 hours on the floor as a RN! I could not believe it! It is plain, white, and wonderful! Supportive, yes; comfy, yes; worth the money, yes!

Brooks Addiction Walker - This shoe lets me walk again! I have a torn tendon and severe over pronation. My orthotics fit in the shoe comfortably. I can now walk for exercise. I have a pair of white and black and will order again. Zappos speedy delivery and easy return policy are the best!

Brook's Addiction has really saved me. I have been suffering from a torn tendon in my foot and I am an over-pronator, and have had a lot of pain and difficulty with walking. This shoe was recommended to me by my physical therapist and has helped me walk better and be much more pain free due to its excellent support and firm build. This will see me through until I can have my foot surgery. At first I had tried the version with Velcro, but this did not suit me as I have a very wide foot. The lace version has worked out very well. I am completely satisfied with this wonderful shoe.

Great arch support. I wear orthodics and haven't had to put them in yet. I need black for work and these look and feel great.

10 hour work days on feet - Comfortable shoe, good support and seems to be helping a previous plantar fasciitis injury, and of course Zappos is the best.

Walking Shoe - I have always had difficulty finding athletic shoes to fit my long, narrow feet. I have tried many different walking shoes, and I do not have to wear my custom orthotics in these because they fit so well.

Good high arch - Was looking for a shoe with a high arch, that I could wear without my orthotics. I have a pair of New Balance 925's that are great, but they look so clunky. These fit the bill. High arch, good support...But if you are on your feet all day, and don't mind the looks. New Balance 925's are the most comfortable.

Easy to get used to - Wore them for a week and had to install my arch supports in them but otherwise a very comfortable shoe for the price.

Addiction Walker - This is a fitness shoe you can wear right out of the box. Absolutely no break in period. Although I felt the price high, the quality of the shoe justifies it. I tried many other brands, but Brooks won with the quality and fit I was looking for. I would definitely buy this brand again. Wish they came in a taupe.

Comfort and More Comfort - These shoes have provided me with all day comfort as I work on my feet. They give ample room for my toes and the last is perfect. I love them.

Extremely comfy shoes - I have a really hard time gettng shoes that fit my width and my size. I can not believe I have finally found a place just wish I could try shoes on before I buy them. Love the brookes addiction walkers. Will definitely keep you in mind when I need new shoes.
