Great shoe - I really love these shoes. I bought the white and they look great and feel wonderful. I have a bad pronation and the outside of my legs ached for a couple days and then I was fine. I will buy another pair when I need new ones. I usually wear Reebok trainers or Rockport walkers and these are far better.

Laboratory tech in VA. I have runner’s knees due to poor arches. These shoes are the best I have found in my search for a work shoe that supports my arches and ankles for the eight and a half hours pounding on that hard floor of our hospital lab. I will be back for more when it is time to replace them. I have also recommended this site to co-workers. My knees and legs thank Brooks for this shoe.

Simply Perfect - I run 12 hours each night that I work and this shoe is perfect. Requires no break in time, just put it on and go. It is not the most attractive shoe that I have owned, but the comfort makes up for the look. Leg and back aches are gone with this shoe. I am on my 5th pair.

Good buy for the money. Comfortable, very sturdy - lives up to the expectations of the description given. Very pleased with the comfort, not to crazy about the design, but comfort is more important.

A Great Courier Shoe! Being on my feet for most of my day as a special delivery courier, this shoe is well worth the money. I'm finding my feet and ankles don't tweak and twinge from every step up or down into my truck. These shoes are cushioned evenly and absorb a lot more than past walking shoes I've owned.

Brooks Addiction Walkers - I love the Brooks Addictions Walkers; I have a pair in white and black (for work). I use my white ones for walking and exercising at Curves. I actually first heard of them in the Curves magazine when they were rated with other shoes.

The perfect walking shoe! This shoe was recommended by my physical therapist for help with my plantar fasciitis. It put me back on the road again. Thanks to Brooks and fabulous Zappos!

Tried these because they were on a list from the Amer. Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine for Maximum Motion Control. I am a letter carrier who walks 4-6 hours just at work. Strong overpronator recovering from plantar fasciitis. Needed strong arch, maximum motion control, non-slip rubber sole. These felt great out of the box but even better with a molded plastic (like Walk-Fit) insert. Ended up buying both black for work and white for walking.

Best shoe ever - I've worn New Balance 857's for years, and thought they were terrific. I needed something for colder weather, so tried NB 925's, but by the end of the day my feet were tired - it seemed like I was walking around with a lot of shoe. The woman who fitted me with a custom orthotic recommended these. I didn't think anyone made size 11.5 anymore! What a treat to find my correct size, instead of something too big. Once I wore the Brooks Addiction, I wondered how I ever wore anything else! They are so comfortable! And the irritation on the tops of my toes from the NB stitching is almost gone, because these are so cleanly made, without a lot of fancy stuff on the top. They look like a dressier shoe also, which I like. After a short time, I ordered another pair. Now I'm ordering the Brooks Ariel for summer, since it's made on the same last.

Comfortable walking - This is the second pair of Addiction Walker shoes I've ordered. For me they are immediately comfortable enough to start four + miles jaunts without any "breaking in" time.

Great Athletic Shoe - I ordered these shoes and they arrived in two days! The reviews were excellent so my expectations were high. I was not disappointed. They fit well, even with my wide feet. They are comfortable to wear around the house all day long. They fit well enough for my frequent bike rides. No slippage. My orthotics fit very well inside them. It's a pleasure to own them. I intend to have them for a very long time.

Change in shoe design????? I have been wearing Brooks Addiction for a few years....noticed a change in design in toe area...less support.

Brooks Addiction Walker - The only real problem with these shoes is that the shoelaces are so short it's almost impossible to tie them!

Walking On a Cloud! I'm in heaven! The Brooks Addiction Walker is like walking on a cloud! I am just amazed!! This is my first pair but it won't be my last. I am quite overweight (working on that) plus I have custom orthodics due to planter's fasciitis and flat-footedness. Combine that with me not owning a car and you can just imagine the suffering I would endure having to walk or take public transportation everywhere. I tried all kinds of shoes and then I came here to Zappos and searched for my symptoms and up popped Brooks! I'd never even heard of that brand! I started out with Ariel's which is outstanding as well but pricey for someone who only wears athletic shoes. So after wearing them for years I decided to try one of the less expensive ones in the Brooks line and after reading review on the Addiction Walker, I ordered. Well, just like the Ariel's, I put them on right out of the box and they were perfect!!! Even more comfortable then the Ariel’s and so soft! Truly like walking on a cloud! No break-in required at all, which I think is amazing! Don't know how they do it, but these shoes are just perfect. I ordered a half-size larger then I usually would and the same width that I always wear and they fit just right...no pinching or anything even with orthodics. I also love that they come in Black and they look great. It's a great shoe for problem feet. If you want to walk and stand in comfort all day, try the Brooks line. I won't even consider anything else! Oh and Zappos is a great site...I love shopping here and I love the name which is out of the ordinary just like there service!!!

Best in comfort - I’m glad to write and tell you how happy I am with the feel and durability of this Brooks sneaker. These sneakers are the most comfortable sneakers I’ve ever had - in my life! They hug your foot for excellent support and have a slight wedge that adds to total leg support. I urge anyone to try these! The look of them could use some work but the comfort level they supply certainly out weighs the bulky look of the sneaker.

Brooks Addiction Walker - This is a good shoe, though it doesn't have the depth I was hoping for my orthodic. Also seems to have a higher arch than most walking shoes. I have a lot of foot problems and have a hard time finding a shoe to help all of them. For most people needed a lot of support I would recommend this if you do not need the depth.

The best shoe ever - Brooks Addiction walker shoes were recommended to me approximately 2 years ago. I had major surgery for a torn ligament and had to have a screw and plates put in my foot and ankle. This shoe was the support, comfort and quality I needed in a shoe. I have owned two pair of these and have tried others but Brooks is by far the best in my opinion.

Very good walking shoe - After bunion surgery (twice), I had considerable residual swelling and scar tissue. These shoes in an extra wide size allowed me to return to work in a business casual environment without wearing a post surgical boot or athletic shoes. Wearing these shoes, I could actually walk, not shuffle or limp.

Great Shoe, Good Price - This is a serious comfort shoe. Not glamorous but nice enough looking. The main thing for me is that it feels great when I do my hour long walk every morning. I got it in Black and it looks pretty much like the picture.

Great shoe - I have trouble finding a shoe that doesn't hurt my little toe that has been broken, my feet are wide also, so most shoes really hurt as I love to walk several miles a day. I LOVE THESE SHOES. Will buy again

Incredible comfort - I have rheumatoid arthritis, and lots of problems with my feet and ankles. I also have a very high arch and need a lot of arch support. I've tried all kinds of expensive shoes, but these are the most comfortable. I wear orthotics and they fit great in these shoes. I used to wear Brooks running shoes and I liked them a lot too, but now I need the added stability of a walking shoe. The Addiction walkers were great from the moment I put them on. The only thing is, I wish they had a little color on them--a stripe of color or something. They're a little plain. I also wish they came in colors other than white and black, since I need to wear them most of the time now. I'm wearing the white...I wanted the black but I'm not crazy about the way they look. But I will probably get the black eventually, anyway. They're amazingly comfortable.

The Best Walking Shoe Ever! I have major foot problems. A botched surgery a year ago for a Neuroma has left me in constant pain. On top of that I have narrow heels and a pronating foot so I need a wide toe box. I never thought I'd find a comfortable shoe - but the Addiction Walker is it! It's very comfortable. Plenty of room in the toe box, but fit's well in the heel also. I'm going on a cruise and needed a shoe that I could spend all day walking in and this is it! Once again Zappos has come through for me. I ordered it 1/2 size bigger than my sandals & it fits perfectly.

THE BEST- I have a dancer's foot with a very high arch and this shoe provides the stability and cushioning that I need. After a whole day on my feet, I can still keep going. At first I thought they looked kind of strange, but I've learned to love them...

The Best Walking Shoe Yet! It is very difficult for me to find comfortable shoes since I have severely pronating feet, low arches, a narrow heel, and had nerve damage to my right foot from having a neuroma removed. I love the Brooks Addiction Walker! I can actually walk pain free. I have tried many other "comfort" walking shoes, and this is the first shoe that works for me. I think a big plus is the roomy toe box. Thanks again Zappos for some great shoes! I ordered them 1/2 size larger my normal shoes (just like I do for running shoes) and they fit perfectly!

Very comfortable - These shoes have been comfortable since the first time I put them on. They are great support. I need an extra wide shoe and these are true to size and width. I highly recommend Brooks Addiction Walkers. I will buy these shoes again.
