Not so comfy - I like the width and length of these Birkenstocks, and the sale price was great. But I don't like the way that the small upper strap cuts into my feet. I have a pair of Arizonas, and they're much more comfortable, albeit aggressively ugly. I also have a pair of sandals with a single wide upper strap that are much more comfortable than these. Maybe I"ll get used to these though.

The only problem I have with these is that my toes keep touching the ridge in the front--I've tried two different sizes and it's the same. Otherwise, they're rather comfy with my high arches and very pretty with their simplistic, feminine design.

I have a couple pair of birks and recently ordered the IBIZA and MADRID styles--I found that these 2 styles ran a whole size larger than my other birks (usually a 38, definitely needed a 37 in these 2 styles). Save yourself the return hassle and order these styles one size down...trust me.

Madrid - I have 5 pairs of Birks, so just ordered my regular size w/out reading all reviews. My Bad!!! For some reason, this shoe runs absolutely HUGE. I'm always a 7 1/2-8 so ordered the 38, got it, and measured over a full 1 1/2" of shoe hanging out in the back past my heel! Anyway, I sent it back, got the 37 and it's okay although I STILL have shoe hanging out that I've never had before with Birks. The fake leather also cuts the top of my foot a little, but is getting better. Overall, I wear it, but it's just not as perfect as Birks usually are for me. Just okay. Great customer service as usual, but someone should really check the sizing on this style.

Birko-Flor - These shoes have moderate arch support-if you are used to Naot they are a little hard to get used to at first. They are beautiful looking if your wear gray, black, and a lot of silver they are the perfect color.

These are really hard and the only arch "support" is at the very edge of the shoe - it doesn't actually lift under the arch like my old birks do. I'm sending them back.

I was so disappointed to receive my Birkenstocks and find the quality has been seriously compromised from that of just two years ago. I purchased these on the suggested size 40 equals size 9. They were huge! I estimate that my size 9 would have fit in a 38 or even 36. I ordered a pair of Born Aloha sandals at the same time (also size 9). Although just a little long in the front of the foot bed, they look smart and stylish.
