Love this shoe! I have a green pair that I got last summer. And, I just ordered the new poppy color last month. I wear one or the other almost every day in the summer. i really like them. They are comfortable and they come in fun colors!

Nice Sandals - I ordered the new Poppy color to wear with all the new orange clothes this season. This pretty sandal is going to coordinate well with them. I have worn orthotics in my shoes for 15 years now, and classic Birkenstocks are the only sandals that I can wear. I wore them to show my podiatist and he said they are as good as my orthotics. Yea!!! Since I have to wear the orthotics whenever I'm walking, I have literally had a pair of Birkenstocks at my bedside ever since. I wear them around the house every day, and for casual wear in the summer. This is my second pair of Madrids. They remind me of my Dr Scholls from when I was a teenager. I like to wear my Bostons in the winter for more warmth and I own two pairs of Floridas. This is my first order from Zappos and the shoes were here in less than 2 days. Thanks!!! I'll be back!

Worth the effort - Birkenstocks are like sex. At first they can seem a little awkward and uncomfortable, and they might make you sore the first few times you wear them. But if you just relax and loosen up around them, they'll treat you so right. They last a long time too.

New Birkenstock Madrids are great! I recently ordered two pairs of Birkenstock Madrids in the new summer colors Hyacinth Blue and Calendula Orange and I love them both. They are comfortable, fit well and I'm anxious to start wearing them regularly, now that it has finally warmed up here in Nebr. The colors are exactly as pictured on your web site. I saw all the new colors when I received my Spring Birkenstock catalog but was surprised to find that the stores where I usually buy Birks said they probably wouldn't be getting these new colors in. I was very happy when I saw that you received all of the new colors! Again, thanks for expediting my order so quickly-I ordered them one day and they were on my porch the next afternoon--awesome!!

I welcome the return of this Birk sandal - I've been a Birk wearer for years. They just fit my feet well. I had bought a couple of this model 10-12 years ago in navy and saddle tan and can't wear them out. It might help that I have about 20 pairs of sandals. I did purchase this particular sandal in Canada in white this past spring. Other favorite Birk styles of mine are Sydney and Tahiti (not currently made).

A really cute summer sandal; very flattering. It's the perfect style for around the house, where I'm constantly taking my shoes off! I found it a little stiffer than my other Birkenstocks, though; I think it will take a bit of a break in period

Spring into summer - I haven't gotten to wear these alot due to weather, however I have worn them around the house and they are very comfortable. They are available in fun colors and have the Birkenstock name to back up the lang lasting quality. Enjoy!

I love Birkenstock Madrids (about the only style I like to be honest). So I know they are great shoes.\r\nI have never ordered through Zappos before and I was impressed by the website and especially by the super speedy shipping! \r\nI will certainly be ordering from Zappos again.

Very comfortable! Really watch what size you order. I wear an 8 1/2 in American shoes, but a 37 in Birks.

Birkenstock Madrid (Birko-Flor™) This shoe appears to run at least two sizes larger than your normal shoe size. I usually wear size 38 and it was two sizes too large. I also ordered a size 37 and it was at least one size too large. I had to send back both pair. Otherwise, they appear to be a comfortable shoe. Zappos service is absolutely the best!!!

Comfy but the uppers stretch big time. I bought the Madrid to wear on vacation and didn't even need to break them in - so comfortable. However, the Birko-Flor stretched out, and now the footbed is a little long. I'm usually wear an 8 and bought a 38, so the shoe was actually 2 sizes bigger than marked. Just make sure to check the footbed against your foot w/the strap undone...

I'm so glad I took the advice of one of the reviews and got a size 5 - narrow! I am an exact 7 (with normal shoes) and the size 5/narrow fits perfectly. I can't believe these shoes run SO big. They're also really tough in the beginning. Have to wear them down a little to get comfortable.

These shoes are great!! I was a little disappointed that these shoes were a little bigger than I anticipated, but they are SOO comfortable and look great with anything! I got the black ones, and they are so versatile I couldn't be happier!

Everyday sandal - I might reconsider ordering a narrow size next time. Sometimes I feel like I'm tripping over the width of them. Style wise, they can be worn as often as one would wear flip flops, yet they're a bit dressier. Very comfortable!

Functional and fine - I bought these to combat a bit of swelling in my feet as a result of living through pregnancy in the heat of summer. I ordered a size bigger than normal and found the size true. They are definitely wider than I expected but I ordered the narrower option and am happy. It took about a week to break them in properly but now I wear them everywhere. It is nice that they look good with a dress and with pants. I will live in them well into the fall.

Classic - It took three tries to get a size that I would wear (40, too big, 39N and 39R), and after settling for a 39R when I wear 40 in everything else, I keep wondering if a 38 would have fit even better. But, since I had already had three sent, I didn't want to go through another exchange. They are slightly big and I have them in the last hole for greatest tighten, and they are about 1/2 inch longer than I'd like but they wear alright. I was in need of a white versatile shoe and this was the best I could come up with. Hopefully, they will service me well.

A little on the large size - I have owned two pairs of birks prior to trying the Madrids, and found that this style seems about a half size larger than the others.

Birkenstock's recommended... These shoes are comfortable and durable as well as looking fashionable, highly recommended for the summer.

Just what I expected - I saw these in a fashion mag (Lucky maybe?) and knew they were just what I wanted for summer - something versatile, cute, all-day-wearable, and not too clunky. I ordered in a 37 (I normally wear a 7-7 1/2) as they DO run big. I also ordered a narrow-width. It was much narrower than a regular Birk, but those with truly narrow feet might still find it too wide. For me, it was fine. Overall I am VERY satisfied. I got just what I expected. They're cute, comfortable, go with lots of summer things AND I can wear them all day long.

You have to break them in - I've had many Birkenstocks so I know from experience that they rarely are comfortable right out of the box. I’m sticking with these guys, but boy, the leather is rock solid and does it ever dig into my foot! I could only wear them for an hour or so. Now I'm up to several hours round the house. I bought them for "house shoes", not to wear for long periods of walking, as in shopping, or sight-seeing. The sole beds feel great and I love the heel pocket. Many years ago my first pair of Birkies cured my plantar fasciitis, and it's never come back.

High-Style Birkenstocks - I love these shoes for their look as well as the comfort. They also make my calves look tighter and better! I wore these shoes all over Mexico!
