Mmm…all I know is that I am a size 7 and I wear a size 37 in Birkenstocks, these are no exception. I ignored the advice and I am happy I did. I love Birkenstocks and I love Zappos for making them so available and affordable. Two fabulous companies working together for the good of shoes/fashion/comfort! The silver ones are amazing, they go with everything. Despite being a flip flop, these are the same as every other pair of Birkenstocks I have ever owned- supportive and comfortable.

What can I say?-
I generally have shoes and other easy-to-tote-home merchandise sent to my job. Got these shoes along with two others. Tried them on. Couldn't take them off. Haven't had Birks in a while. Can't believe that happened. Great shoe.

Really cute shoe! They just arrived and I have been wearing them around the house, feel like I am walking on air. I'm a true size 8.5 and ordered the 39 in this shoe...I wonder if a 38 might have been better but think but then my heel would be hanging off the back so this size seems just about right. Cute color!

Fantastic!
Been a "Birki" for years, own many pairs, different styles and colors. After back surgery last year, I rarely ever wear anything else. These are already one of my favorites. Love the simple, easy, comfortable style. All of mine are size 38 narrow and fit perfectly. Cannot even feel that I have on these shoes and the silver can be dressy or casual. Birkenstock has had the comfort factor forever, and now the color selections and more feminine styles are unbeatable! Add the ease and overnight free delivery of Zappos right to my door and it's a "no brainer"!! THANKS.

Cutest Birks ever -
These are probably the perfect shoe. These look cute with dresses as well as pants. I have them in black, white, and silver. I am always a 36 in Birks, and these are no different. I did, however, go with the narrow width, which I hadn't done before. They are comfy and cute. If you haven't ever worn the Birko-Flor before, just be warned that your foot gets a little sweatier under the strap than under real leather.

I love my Birkenstocks!
I just purchased the Madrid in Silver Birko-Flor and I am absolutely in love with them. I already own 2 pairs of Ibiza and one pair of Gizeh. These silver Madrids are very European looking and have great style. I'm not big on flashy colors, but the silver is not too bright and can be worn with anything. My regular shoe size is 7-7.5, however I ordered the 37N expecting these shoes would run large, and they fit perfectly. The customer service at Zappos is wonderful. I ordered the shoes yesterday at 1:30 p.m. and they were waiting at my door today when I got home from work.

Great shoe!
Birkenstock comfort without looking too granola! I have these in silver and they match everything and fit great. I suggest ordering true to size. If you've been thinking about getting these, do it!!!

I really love the Madrids. I’m pregnant right now and it is hard to find shoes that fit. I'm a 38 and I was going to go for a bigger size, but I'm glad I got the 38s. It is true to size and gives you extra room front and back. This shoe is the cutest out of all the sandals, too!

Birkenstocks are the best, I'm trying to get my husband to get a fresh pair.

Fit is true to size -
After reading the reviews here, I was convinced that I should order the 36 instead of 37 which I normally wear in Birkenstocks. I’m not sure why I did that. Birkenstocks are SUPPOSED to have a little room at the toe and heel to allow for rocking back and forth during walking.
As it is now, my toes butt up against and hang over the edge of the shoe, making it a LOT less comfortable than the Gizeh’s I own in size 37. Sigh. I wish I hadn't been swayed by all these reviews, and I just want to let the people familiar considering these shoes that the best is to order your size, not one down...

Great Birkenstock Sandal!
This Madrid style Birkenstock sandal has excellent arch support, is very stylish, and the color is great. One may worry that it may not stay on the foot, but it does conform great to the foot and stays in place because of the great Birkenstock supports. The adjustable buckle is wonderful.

The Silver Ones Rock!
The Madrid’s are so much more feminine and stylish than the Arizona’s or Boston’s, both of which I've worn in the past. The silver is a great color. It's very neutral and not too shiny so it looks great with most anything. Highly recommended!

Perfect little sandal -
I love this simple, sexy sandal! I bought the silver color last summer, and people kept complimenting them and saying they couldn't believe they were Birkenstocks -- not "hippy" looking. I just received the black pair, and I love them even more than the silver because I ordered a size down, and they fit perfectly. I'm a 6.5-7, and I got the 37 Regular last year, which was fine, but definitely roomy. After breaking them in, though, it feels like I'm not wearing any shoes at all, so I guess that's not a bad thing. This time I did the 36 Narrow, and they fit really well. They look a little sleeker, too, without the bulky width of the larger size.
Bottom line: my favorite sandal EVER.

I took the advice from previous reviews and ordered one size smaller and narrow width. They fit perfect! These have a circa 70's look to them, which I adore. Match almost everything. The comfort is unmatched. Get some!

This is classic Birkenstock updated in silver for the season. The material is soft and pliable so that is does not need to be broken in to be comfortable. I only wish they were made in black patent, as well.

I was thrilled to receive the white Madrid’s. Birkenstocks are the only shoes I wear and the Madrid is my favorite style. I look forward to the black Madrid’s in my size coming back in stock.

Sizing wrong -
After reading comments stating this shoe ran big I ordered a smaller size. Once I received it I found it to be too small. I returned for my normal size which fit great. Love the flip-flop feeling of these shoes, but they still have the great support.

I recently ordered two pairs of Madrids, in black and silver, because they are "dressy" with only one strap. In addition, I love to paint mine with various abstract or geometric designs and always receive numerous comments--also compliments. Furthermore, the Madrids always feel better than anything, Birkenstock or not. Interestingly, although I usually wear a 6 1/2-7 in other shoes, I wear a 36 (5-5 1/2) in the Madrids.
I am almost 63 years old and have worn Birkenstocks, almost exclusively, for the past twenty years, and, unlike my friends, I do not have a single foot problem, and my feet are still "pretty," they tell me.
Zappos is the best! I'll never order--or buy--from anyone else again!

Sore Feet -
I suffered from severe foot pain and bought these shoes because they were recommended by my physician. I must say when I first purchased these shoes I was very disappointed. My feet hurt so bad from wearing them. The worst pain was in my ankles of all places. Then I read the instructions that came with the shoes. They needed to be broken in. I decided to stick it out. Now I'm the energizer bunny. Thanks Birkenstock and Zappos I love my shoes!!!!!!

Happy Feet, Happy Mom!
I owned a couple of pairs of Birkenstocks in high school, but I outgrew the hippie stage and thought I'd never go back to Birks. However, I walk a lot with my 2 kids, and my flip flops just weren't cutting it this summer, especially since I'm carrying my 20 pound baby around all the time! When I found these silver Birks, I was so excited! They are so comfortable, and for Birks, cute too! Not only do they NOT hurt my feet, they make my feet feel good, like a foot massage every time I wear them. I rated them a 3 for looks, because, even though I love the silver and have gotten compliments on these, they definitely get my attention more for comfort than the beauty/sexiness factor.
