After receiving my new Danskos, I put them on to break them in and found that this was not necessary. They immediately conformed to my feet. I have rather large feet and good quality shoes are hard to find--at least those that are well-made and cute. I now own 2 pairs of Dansko brand shoes and will be looking for my third. As a University lecturer, I'm on my feet a majority of the day, five days a week for nine months of the year and Danskos are fantastic! You can maintain a professional look with comfort.

Love Dansko and loved the way this sandal looked, but I have a wide foot and high instep. Even after stretching, the straps cut into and pinched the skin at the top of my foot - especially in warm weather when my feet swelled from the heat and time walking.
Great Dansko footbed, but even after several wearings I couldn't get past the pinching. Going into the donate pile.

I found these shoes to be too narrow. I usually wear an 8W or 8 1/2M. I bought the size 39 and it was the correct length. The footbed was a dream with great arch support and cushion when walking. However, the left sandal strap was too tight and really pinched at the arch. Very disappointed. I believe the left sandal is more narrow than the right sandal (an irregularity). I have a pair of Dansko clogs and really like the foot support but the hard sole can be cause my arthritic knees to hurt if I walk a lot in them. These Lolita sandals have more cushion in the sole than the clogs and seem that they would be easy on the knees. The style is OK looking but nothing to get excited about. I think function is the main draw with these sandals unless you have a wide foot.

My Dansko Professionals are among the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned, so when I was planning a trip to France I thought - another pair of Danskos, in sandals for summer - hence the Lolita. These turned out to be only a so-so solution. My feet are narrow and while they fit overall, one foot slides forward in the sandal, and it took some adjusting of the straps to not end up with blisters, and several days for my feet to adjust to the footbed. And the sides of the sandals got scuffed right away, wearing away the veneer, which looks messy. If I had to do it over again I'd choose differently, but I'd rate these as "average," not a total failure.

Born - please get your act together!
I think Born shoes are excellent quality - BUT, they are very unpredictable in sizing and general fit. This is a nice sandal, not glam, but handsome enough. The footbed was comfy, the size of the footbed was right, but the straps were much too loose, and there was no way to do anything to adjust them. Rats!

SCUFFING SOLES -
Love the style and comfort HOWEVER the sides of the soles scuffed easily. The covering must be painted on the soles as it scuffed off to a blackish color underneath. The shoes became quite unsightly after very few wearings...

Very Comfortable!
I am a huge Dansko fan and have many styles. I am on my feet all day at work. Comfortable, well made shoes are a must! The Lolita is the first Dansko style I do have a complaint about. The leather in the shoe does stretch out- A LOT- which means you end up swimming in them. You can not go down a size, because the foot bed wouldn't fit. So that is a problem. These shoes are also not very attractive, in my opinion. However, I am still not sorry I ordered them. They are very comfortable, even with the stretched out leather. I can wear them all day, and last weekend wore them walking around historic sites for two days. They are cool for the summer with the open weave. Perhaps another style would be a better choice if you are worried about the stretching. My other Dansko sandals have not done this.

They stretch -
Well, I generally love Danskos... and these started out great. But they stretched, and now are nearly unusable... am not sure what to do... Zappos says that they will refund if the shoes have not been worn outside and show no wear. But I only encountered these problems AFTER wearing them for a couple weeks. I will contact Zappos to find out what they will do...

What happened to Dansko fit?
I have worn Danskos for years and ordered a new pair of Lolitas to replace my current worn-out pair. The new 36 was too wide and loose all over. I also purchased the sissy in a 36...and it was too short. I held it up to my old Lolitas and it was definitely a shorter footbed. I can't go bigger because the width will be off. aghhh! I will have to find a new brand.

Dansko shoes -
This shoe is VERY comfortable. However, the edges scuff easily and I can't get the black scuff marks off. This is disappointing and I won't wear the shoes with these marks on them. Probably would not buy again because of this.

Could have been a contender. These shoes would be extremely comfortable if the straps weren't so loose and I have very wide feet!. To tighten the one adjustment possible forces the foot too far forward. I'll try a gel insert to fill up the space. Theyre also a little clunky looking. But Zappos is great to do these reviews and delivery time and service are unexcelled.

Need breaking-in -
These are cute, but I haven't worn them since last summer because the straps rubbed across the top of my feet. (I have narrow-to-normal-width feet and many other shoes to wear.) But leaving them sitting for a year seems to have helped soften the straps. As with other Danskos, I love the rocking motion of the sole. They are clunkier in appearance than I normally like, but this style works if you need a sandal you can walk or stand in a lot.

The Dansko Lolitas looked incredibly comfortable on the website, but when I finally tried them on, my ankles slipped around and the straps were too loose. These shoes are a little to clunky to wear with skirts. You'd be better off buying something like the Dansko Flora which can go with both pants and skirts.

Very comfortable but my foot slides in the back -
I really liked these shoes--the look and comfort. However, I tend to overpronate and I wouldn't recommend these shoes for larger people who do. After a couple of months I realized that if I hit an uneven surfaces with this shoe my heel slides completely off the back of the sandal and the impact lands squarely on my sole.

Not the most comfortable for the $
I thought these would be more comfortable than they were, also, the straps across the front of the foot were too large. I don't have a narrow foot, yet always seem to have an issue with this.

Ever since owning my first pair of Dansko's, I have not worn one kind of shoes that feels more comfortable. I am on my feet for most part of my work day, and for the first time ever, I could not detect the least fatigue in my legs and feet. So naturally I bought more pairs, and all fulfill their promise. The Lolita was finally my chance to have a crisp white pair of sandals, as I usually like to have for summery weather. I must say however that I was very disappointed with them, for the color brown of the shoe (sides) is not as depicted online, yet a quite unfitting lighter brown, that turns this shoe into a very unelegant, banale sandal, not appropriate for out-of-the-house wear.

Ouch!!
I bought this shoe on Dansko's comfort tradition. I have another sandal I bought from them years ago that I just love and was trying to find a replacement. I have problem feet to begin with. (bunions and wide feet). After wearing these around the house, I thought they would be okay but as soon as I wore them to work on concrete I regretted it. I cannot stand to work in these for more than 4 hours max.! My pinky toe starts to poke through the straps and the bottom of my feet start to ache so bad that it hurts to walk. I wish I hadn't worn them on concrete because now I definitely will not get my money's worth out of them. Ashame because it is a cute looking shoe.

Nice at first but OUCH!
The footbed felt lovely but after wearing for a day, both big toes sported blisters from the stitching around the outside of the footbed. Since I bought the sandals to be worn for a summer trip to Philly, I needed to be able to wear them more than a couple of hours. Stitching where toes are isn't the brightest idea!

Not cute on -
I have the Dansko Professionals and like them, so I figured I would try these sandals for summer. These were comfortable, but they made my feet look humongous. I wear an 8 and the 39 fits, so I would say they run a size small. Way too chunky and clunky and I don't mean in a cute platform-ish/wedge way. (Which is funny because I think the professionals actually make your feet appear smaller.)

Dansko Lolita - pink and black -
I purchased the same shoes in that beautiful green last summer and thought I would be safe in purchasing the same style again, but both pairs hurt my feet in the same place on the outside toe and the bottom. It almost felt like they had changed the material, or the cushion. I cannot walk far in them without it hurting--I live in NYC and this is a walking town. Dansko has been such a great shoe maker.

Slippery Footbed -
The fit, terrific! I slipped my feet into these Lolita’s and trekked away, it was not until while on holiday that I ran into problems. The hot weather produced hot sweaty feet on the fancy antimicrobial VERY SMOOTH and Slick footbed had me slipping and sliding in and out of these shoes. The straps stretched and loosened the fit considerably. Wished I had not put such stock into them. A big expense for shoes that will not make the summer. Had I not worn them I would have returned them 2 Pair!!

There is 0 arch support if you have high long arches like me...does not take any pressure off of the toes and the shoe is very heavy...I guess it's good as ankle weights :)

Not worth the price -
This is a very comfortable shoe and it looked fine the first 2 times I wore them. However, after wearing this shoe twice while driving the outer surface or skin on the back part of the right shoe (area under gas pedal where foot rests) began peeling off. This is extremely upsetting considering that the shoe cost over$100. For that price I certainly did not expect these shoes to look so lousy after 3 wearings!

I have ordered three pairs of Lolita. This pair made in Brazil does not fit. There is a one inch gap on the right strap near closure. Returned.
