This one did not work for me. I am used to comfort sandals--Drew, Naot, Wolky, and Mephistos. I wanted a comfort sandal I could wear with capris. These were a little clunkier than I expected. Also, I noticed that the buckles were difficult to use. The elastic connecting the buckles was stretched out on one side, perhaps I got a "second." These particular sandals were over 50% off on the website. I will have to return them. I will try another Dansko in the future. I have tried them on in stores and do not remember the buckle to be a problem. I do think Zappos is wonderful with their online descriptions and I know that will allow me to easily return or exchange this shoe. Zappos is the best online shoe store I have found. From their website, I feel I have tried on the shoe before I bought them. I love the different views presented and the customer comments.

Comfy, but loose - After reading all the reviews here on Zappos, I was afraid that a strappy Dansko shoe would be too tight. However, after receiving the Lolita I found the opposite to be true. These shoes slide around my foot, even when cinched up as tight as possible. They are still comfortable though, just a little strange when walking down the hills of San Francisco.

Dansko Lolita - I just ordered these in a size 38 and a 39 to see which fit better. Usually I am a 39 in Dansko. The 39's fit comfortably but the straps were a bit loose and my foot came forward while there was a lot of room at the ankle. I agree with other reviewers that the shoe is a bit short. Maybe it's the position of the straps. The 38's are a better fit even though the foot still tends to hug the front of the sandal while there is still room at the ankle. I'm keeping them anyway because they are VERY comfortable. Watermelon veg-tan is a beautiful orange. I gave a 4 rating because I haven't worn them out yet.

Very comfortable and cute, but I had to take off a bit for "look" because the dye from the black pair rubs off on my feet! I am a teacher and my feet were black by the end of the day. I am not sure why this happens but I got tired of having to use a pumice stone to rub off the dye every night. Otherwise, Dansko is my favorite brand of shoes!

Dansko Lolita - Very comfortable!!! I have a very wide foot and high instep so shoes are a struggle to fit. I had to have these stretched so the straps would fit better. I was too lazy to wait and let them stretch naturally and because I really like them and wanted to wear them. I then bought a second pair. I can wear them all day and never get a blister and tried feet. I can even run for the train in them. Perfect!!!

Colorful, foot-friendly shoe! This was my first purchase of a Dansko shoe; I am planning on traveling and doing a lot of walking, and wanted a shoe that will provide comfort for entire days. So far these are extremely comfortable, and quite attractive considering the level of comfort they provide. They are definitely wide, and so are slightly loose on my foot, but still seem pretty stable. The straps are soft and haven't rubbed at all. I got the "cobalt" shoe- the blue is a nice medium grey-blue. The footbed is smooth and seems to stay dry- it's not really mushy, but the sole has such great spring that I think these will be great for all-day walking. They stay put on hills, and don't feel heavy. They look great with jeans and longer pants, but tend to look slightly clunky the shorter the skirt/shorts are. I've seen that this is available in all black, which might look slightly more streamlined.

Dansko's Lolita - I love this shoe however the straps did rub my foot at first and I thought I might get blisters. That did not happen and I gradually wore them and think they are great shoes - attractive and comfortable. I do NOT have good feet either and am always looking for comfort first.

Dansko Lolita - This shoe is very comfortable. I am on my feet all day teaching, and have plantars fascia, but these shoes allow me to go all day without pain. Even though my feet are narrow, these shoes fit better than most. In time, I expect they will become looser as the leather stretches, however, I think I'll be able to use a thin insert to take up the slack. The inner linings are somewhat slick, making my feet slide a little. They would be more comfortable with a brushed suede or fabric liner instead of the smooth leather one. Overall, I am pleased with the Lolitas!

Lolita - This shoe is very comfortable and not bad looking, but I feel like the straps are a little loosey-goosey. Going to a size smaller did not help either. I hope that with wear the straps do not strech out and get looser.

Short shoe! I had to order a full size larger than I wear in other Dansko, which surprised me. The straps were tight across my instep (I have a wide foot and a high instep) the first time I wore them but they are already loosening up and I am sure they will be comfortable once broken in completely. Overall, I liked it.

Great shoe! I recently bought these to walk around San Francisco for a weekend and they were great! No blisters or sore feet, just very comfortable. The only issue I have with these is that my toes seem to want to hug the very front of the shoe when I walk. I ordered a size up and it wasn't the problem. I'm keeping them regardless because of the comfort, but something to keep in mind.

Great sandals - Comfortable, like all Danskos I've tried. A bit short for me in my usual size. I tried a size larger, but my foot still slipped to the front edge of the shoe when I walked in it. So I kept the smaller size and am just getting used to my toes being at the end of the shoe. Otherwise, terrific. I wear them everyday.

I wear size 8 shoes. I originally ordered the 38 and my foot kept slipping. So I ordered the size 37 and these are great. As I tried them on the strap rubbed one foot a little on the top but I am into my second day of wearing them and the strap isn't a problem. The purple ones are truly great if you are looking for an attractive purple shoe. I love the height on these shoes!

Confusion with sizing - ...I usually wear a 10 and ordered a 40 but it clearly did not fit. ... The size 41 pair fit like a dream and they feel like pillows under my feet...had to special order the black ones! Too much trouble for a pair of shoes but at least they will be worth it.

I loved how the purple looked BUT I found my feet slipping forward. I take size 8 and had ordered the size 38. I have reordered size 37. We'll see how they fit.

Lolita - The sandals were instantly comfortable. I really like them, but with certain outfits they look a little old lady like to me. They are great with pants and long skirts. I would buy them again.

Versatility and Comfort - I have difficulty finding that everyday summer shoe that can go to the office or go out to play. This one (I have it in brown) satisfies those needs very comfortably and attractively. An added bonus is that there's no "breaking in" process. They are wearable right from the get-go.

I have a bone to pick with Dansko... Okay, so I admit to being overjoyed to be wearing a pair of these sandals. This is because I wear a size 12 shoe. I am wearing a size 43, which is NOT a women's size 13 (and 42 is NOT a women's size 12). The European size 43 is really more like a women's 11-11 1/2. I don't understand why Dansko insists on labeling their shoes in this way. Regardless, this means that you should consult a reliable shoe size converter or order a size up. The 43's I'm wearing a bit tight in the straps, but I'm hoping that they will stretch out to a perfect fit.

Reliable Sandal - Comfortable, good support. I have plantar fasciitis and pronate while walking and this sandal works for me without my orthotic. Good neutral color works with a variety of outfits.

A gift for my Mom - I purchased this sandal because my Mom raved about Dansko shoes. She loved the sandal, but she has an extremely high instep, therefore we had to have the shoe stretched for a few days in order for her to be able to fit it. After the stretching, she indicated she feels like she is walking on clouds...Recommend marketing a wid width sandal as well.

Dansko Lolita in Black - I bought the Dansko Lolita in Black and wear a size 9.5. I ordered it in size 40 and when I first got them, they felt a bit narrow and I was afraid it was too small. But I wore them inside for a couple of days and the straps stretched to allow my foot to move forward on the footbed and now I find that it fits really well. This is a really comfortable sandal and the straps hug the shape of my foot nicely. I bought the black because it's a basic color and felt I could wear it to work. I'm looking forward to buying it in another color. The footbed is so comfortable, I feel like I can walk all day in them, which is important because I walk a lot for my commute to work. This is a great buy and a great investment in a summer sandal.

Great comfort for a cute shoe! These shoes were comfy from the moment I put them on. No break-in necessary. Although with more wear, I noticed they maybe a little on the narrow side, for people with slightly wider feet, like mine.

Extremely comfortable! I have always been looking for really comfortable sandals that look good enough for work and I finally found them! Another manager I work with happened to be wearing them (with a pants suit) at a business meeting and when I saw them I was extremely impressed by its dressiness. I've been wearing Dansko shoes for the past 2 years (I have the Mary Janes and the lace up oxfords) and have nothing but great things to say about them. I've put all of them through major events and they've all held up well. These sandals are going with me to Las Vegas where I do a lot of walking; plus, my feet tend to swell up in extreme heat but I know that they will keep my feet happy! If you need a comfortable pair of work shoes I promise they won't feel or look clunky!

Disappointed - I looked for several weeks for a comfortable, good quality pair of walking sandals for an upcoming trip to Italy. I really liked the look of the Lolita and it felt fairly comfortable in the store. I have worn them for a few days now and have hip and lower back pain. I have blisters on both feet and the bottom of my feet are sore. I am very disappointed!
