Lolita - Nice very comfortable sandal. Originally ordered my usual size 39; had to re-order to 38. Once I had the right size they are great. Would prefer a darker base color but they still look good. Good walking shoe. Will probably add another color to my summer wardrobe. Great Zappos service, as always.

Too tight across top of foot - I have a wide foot with a high instep. Typically Danskos are one of very few shoes that fit my foot well. I am on my feet all day and I can count on my Danskos to give me incredible comfort from dawn ‘til dusk. I personally have found this style to be very tight across the instep, especially as the weather gets warmer and my feet swell a little. I'm still looking for the perfect Dansko sandal.

Received my order in 24 hours - and the shoes were comfortable from the get-go. The fit was fine; I usually take a 43 in the Dansko Professional clog, but since these are worn without socks, a 42 was appropriate. As other reviewers have noted, the straps tend to loosen up over time, but in my case, this has not been a problem. I got the "honey" colored sandals which are (as noted by others) quite a different color than what is pictured. The reason I give Lolita only a 4 is that the sides of the sole scuff very easily and quickly. Had I been able to get the pomegranate colored sandals that I wanted (out of stock), this wouldn't be a problem since the soles on those are black. All in all, a quality, comfortable, and good-looking shoe. Recommended.

My dog likes them, too! This is my second pair as my dog ate the first pair! At first the instep strap seemed a bit tight but after wearing the shoe a few times it is comfortable. It is very versatile, looks good with dresses, pants and shorts.

Have this shoe in black and tan. Can wear them all day while standing and walking. Great arch support.

Cute sandals... These are heavy duty sandals, I mean they are heavy but they look good on, and the leather stretches with your foot over time. No need to worry about pinching. But they aren't as comfortable as Danskos Professional Clogs, they seem to lack the same arch support, but semi-comfortable, pretty cute, the footbed isn't as soft as I would like, and overall do the job well (stable heel). Size up 1 size, I wear a 10 regular in all shoes and bought a 41 (size 11). I would've liked to have bought the pinks ones as well.

Won't fit a narrow foot - I usually wear a 7.5N shoe, but sometimes can wear a medium in a sandal when the design has a lot of straps across the top as this one does. I wanted to replace an old pair of Born sandals, size 37 medium, that took me through Europe, but I guess I won't be wearing these. I was swimming in them! I do love Zappos, though. I can't believe how fast they delivered these shoes.

Boo’s shoe review - I actually was talked in to these at a shoe store but wanted to give me review anyway. I know Zappos wouldn't do me wrong! These are not for wide feet. I love the look of these but my feet hurt at the end of the day. The bottom of my feet feel like they were all scrunched up or something-it's strange. This is a bummer because I had hoped these would be comfy for me. (Unfortunately the sales lady was more into $$$ and not my satisfaction!) Oh, and the blue footbed turns my feet blue... like a Smurf. Don't get if you have wide feet.

Nice sandal, but not for me. I love the fit and support that Dansko offers. Unfortunately, the straps on these sandals were not tight enough. I have a "low profile" foot. Many sandal straps are not tight enough around the front half of my foot. If you also have this problem, these probably won't work for you either. My Dansko shoes are 38, these were 37 and seemed the right length.

Comfortable for traveling - I purchased these shoes in black because I travel a lot for business and I need comfortable shoes that still look presentable with slacks. I just returned from Tokyo and Singapore and I wore these shoes just about everyday, including during the flights. They are quite comfortable and great for walking around the city sightseeing, as well as great wearing them with black slacks for work. My only complaint is that the stitching in one spot on one shoe rubs against my skin and causes a blister. I'm hoping I'll break them in... For the high price, I wanted "perfection".

What about the sole? I love all of my Dansko shoes. The Lolita is the first to give me problems with the color coating of the sole wearing off before the shoe wears out. I suspect it is due to driving, since it is worn in that spot. Any suggestions about fixing this would be appreciated.

Great comfort, but all wet - Shoes are extremely comfortable and fit well. The only complaint is that the covering of the upper sole is synthetic, and produces lots of moisture if your feet tend to perspire.

I am enjoying my first pair of Dansko sandals. They are very comfortable and I've noticed that when I wear them my legs and feet are not as tired after being on my feet all day. I have narrow feet and the straps are just a bit loose. The footbed is also just a tad short. I would try a longer, narrow size if I bought them again.

Good every day sandal - I ordered these sandals just before a trip to hilly central Mexico and wore it nearly every day for a week; they really didn't need any breaking in. They are sturdy and reasonably comfortable, and look good with jeans, shorts, casual skirts. They're a bit on the heavy side but not too bad. I think they will last me a few years.

Funky chic - I have two pair of Dansko clogs and love them. This shoe feels like a clog with the coolness of a sandal. I love them! Wore them right away for hours with no discomfort or breaking in.

Changed a bit but still a good shoe - This my third pair of Lolitas, second in this color. I purchased the first in 2004 and the second in 2006. The footbed changed between those two purchases but comfort remained the same. The leather on this pair is much stiffer and shiny, almost like plastic. The same leather is on the footbed and is not as soft. There is not as much give in the straps so they will take a lot longer to break in.

Good Summertime Work Sandal - I was looking for a sandal that I could wear to work but still be supportive since I'm on my feet for 9+ hours a day. At first, I was unsure about the fit around the ankle, it seems kind of big and I have fairly large feet, size 10 to be exact. The thing I really like is that the strap on the back keeps your feet from sliding around. I wore them to work and to an outdoor festival so they can be dressed up or down. Very good walking sandals. They aren't the most sexy shoes in the world but Dansko isn't really about that, it's about the comfort and function. So, that being said, they lived up to my expectations.

I bought these a few years ago in black. It's a good looking shoe and I want to love them, but unfortunately, I have a couple of issues. First, I think this shoe is wider than average. I generally don't have problems with shoe width, usually wearing a B (medium). My feet have way too much room in this shoe which causes them to slide around. This leads me to the second problem. I find that my feet get very tired in these shoes, which may be due to the fact that they're too loose on me or it could be because it's a pretty heavy shoe. Overall, if the shoe fit me properly and securely, I would probably think this was a great shoe.

Dear Lolita, I thought it was true love but we had to part - I really like the look of this shoe. Very attractive on my feet. Being my first Dansko shoe, I was unaware that the soles are fairly thick, but not a problem. I absolutely loved the arch support since I have high arches. These were the first pairs of shoes I have found with fabulous arch support. I had two problems with this sandal that caused me to return it. :-( ...my first return...handled very nicely by the Zappos staff... The color (Honey Veg Tan) was darker in real life than it appeared on the Zappos web page photograph. It looked much lighter on the web page. I wanted the lighter color. I have noticed other Honey Veg Tan Dansko sandals appear the correct color in their photographs. For some reason the photo of this sandal in Honey Veg Tan is lighter than it really is. Second, the crosser over straps in the toe region just happen to hit my little toes in just the wrong spot. They pinched. I wore them a whole day in the house and they never stopped pinching. I do not have a wide foot. There was no solution to the little toe pinching. In the future I will order sandals that don't go so far down the toes that the leather straps cover and rub against outer toes (big and little). I liked the look of these shoes so much, I wish the color had been right and the straps did not pinch my toes. I was really, really reluctant to part with them.

Comfy walking shoes - I bought the Lolitas for a trip to Europe. They were so comfortable, I wore them everyday. Believe me, they are made for walking! I loved them so much, I am looking to buy another Dansko with higher heels.

Great sandal - This is a great summer sandal and immediately my favorite. I wear anywhere from a 7 to an 8 and ordered the 37. It is not as clunky as I had feared and goes well with just about anything. My only complaint is that the light-colored soles scuff very easily. After one week, I already have black scuff marks.

Dansko fan - I really like Dansko shoes and have worn them for years. These are very cute on. They are very comfortable and fun to wear. The leather stretches a little and I did not notice this with my last pair, but all the same I would still recommend them.

Pretty good sandal - It's very hard to choose a color, the blue looks nice, the pink and purple do too. But I ended up with black, and it's a good choice. I wear 41, and I'm a size 10 and it fits perfect. Looks clunky off foot, but on it feels fine. Fits well, functions well. I love Danskos as far as foot pain. These don't have the entirely best arch support, I wish they had a little more, but it's a pretty dang good shoe overall compared to other sandals out there. Look is very nice.

Good walking sandals but less supporting than the clogs - My first pair of Danskos were the Mary-Jane style clogs (I think they're called Merrie). I soon learned to love the strong arch support. I thought I was getting the same thing is this sandal, but the arch support is totally different. I wish there was some kind of classification to let you know what kind of footbed is in each type of shoes and sandal. That said, these have a beveled bottom that makes walking easy, and they are comfortable, so I kept them. They just don't give what I consider true Dansko support.

Great walking sandal - I have two pairs of these sandals, one black and one tan, and they are incredibly comfortable. As another reviewer mentions, on the light-colored shoes the tan coloring of the sides of the sole rubs off and you can see the black through it -- annoying! But this has not been a problem with the black pair, which has a black outer sole. Also, the elastic attaching the strap tends to get worn or broken after a couple of summers of heavy use (and if you're like me, you'll definitely be using these shoes heavily!), but I was able to get this repaired. These are great sandals for walking -- I routinely walk to and from work in these shoes (about 3.5 miles round trip) and I find them more comfortable than most sneakers. They are not the daintiest, most elegant sandals in the world, but they are cuter than anything else I've tried that has this level of comfort.
