I own a pair of Keen hiking boots & my husband owns their sandals. Both are incredible comfortable. was a disappointed with these. They cut in on my ankles & were quite uncomfortable. Had to return.

I have wide feet, a high arch, and high instep. These worked out great. No complaints at all.

Love these sandals! Just wore them on a camping trip. To be honest, they didn't dry overnight in a humid climate and claims otherwise may be inflated. Also, the sturdiness of the sole did make my feet stiff after a few days of continual wear. But that sturdiness was great for walking over boulders, hiking, walking around camp knowing that my toes were solidly protected. Kept my feet cool, too. Despite the good coverage, don't forget some sunscreen on your feet!

I've sworn by this sandal for years!!! Order a new color every summer. So when I ordered this new pair was very surprised that they were really small. Will order a half size up and see what happens.

I have a 2007 pair of Newport H2 and I feel the 2018 model runs a half size small. I started with my normal size 8 1/2 and they were just too tight, my pinky toes were rubbing hard. I sized up to a nine and now they fit like my old pair. The shoes are great for the boat, but they are also excellent for years work, keeping your toes protected and fully washable if you get them too dirty. Easy to slip on and off.

I have very wide feet and a tendency to plantar fasciitis. Keen shoes fit me very well and I can walk long distances in them. I like the covered toes which has protected me from debris in wet soil. I like the shoes a lot. They are attractive in their ugliness and functionality.

All around love the shoe and agree with the highly positive reviews. I'm proud of Keen for getting out of the box a bit and going for the rainbow effect - makes the shoes more fun. So, why the four and not five stars? Maybe minor, but a little surprising, that I slipped and fell in them twice. That said, the conditions were an extreme rain event and one slip was on the deck of a sail boat and the other after we got back to the dock in the restroom. Everything was wet and it was a tile floor, and fortunately I didn't hurt myself during either slip, but I noted it had happened. I know the curse of Vibram soles on hiking boots is wet wood, so it isn't unusual for soles to meet some conditions they don't like, just don't remember my last pair of keens - that I wore to death and on slick boat decks - never failed. And for a 'water shoe' the one thing the soles should handle well is extreme wet conditions. Could be the shoe, could be me, but it was noted. Otherwise, the shoe has been great for fit and comfort for the few weeks I've had it. And I do like those rainbow colors jazzing up the black. Also noted, my husband, in his Tevas never slipped in the same conditions. Again, not a controlled experiment, but noted.

I had a pair of Newport H2 shoes that lasted more than 10 years and this pair is the replacement. I love the striped uppers and the fact the sole, toe bumper, and the rest of the shoe is black. It makes them look less clunky than most color combinations. However, no matter what color, these shoes are great.

I ordered one of each style because I wanted to decide which one fit my foot the best. The reviews were good but the best thing is to try them on. He H'2 is narrower than the Whisper and the Hydro's. It is bulkier in look like the Hydro. I usually wear a 8 1/2 in dress shoes and a 9 in tennis shoes. I ordered a 9 and that was the correct length. I have a bunion on my right foot and this shoe was definitely to tight on that foot, but also fitted on my left foot. This shoe would be best for a narrow footed person. They had good arch support and were comfortable otherwise. The Hydro's are wider in the fit, heavier in feel and look but are very comfortable. I think they have the best arch support of the 3 styles. My problem with them is my hammer toe on the toe next to my pinky toe that causes it to ride higher. The hydro has a strap that rubbed a blister on that toe in a very short time of wearing it. Sadly I have to return them because I really liked the arch support and comfortable heel that would be good for long hikes. I also ordered the 9 in this shoe that fit in length well. I hope this helps other decide on the best shoe for them. The Whisper is the shoe I have chosen to keep but feel the 8 1/2 will be the best size. In the 9 I have a full thumbs length from the end of my big toe to the tip of the shoe. The are light weigh, comfortable but not quite as comfortable as the Hydro. There is arch support but not quite as much as the Hydro or H2. i have a old pair of Keens (at least 5 year old) and I love them. I think the Whisper is the closest to them too. I hope this review helps you decide on your best fit. I love the Zappos return policy!!

I have very long toes so I needed a half size larger. I really like them, helps my aching feet .

These are now almost three years old, see near-constant wear in summer, and after a trip through the washing machine look brand new.

Fit well, my foot didn't slip when wet in the shoe. Great for navigating Rocky shores.

I first purchases Keen Newport H2 in July 2012. Now in July 2018 I am going to replace them with a new pair. The 2012s are still wearable, but are starting to tear at the sides and are loose. They are still comfortable and I will probably still wear them at the beach. However, getting ready for a hiking trip and the new H2s are coming with me! The price looks high, but I know someone who bought a new pair of knock offs every year at $20 a pop. I think I got the better deal!

I have been wearing Keen hiking shoes for 10 years. You can wear them straight out of the box. I am rating the Grand Canyon/Colorado river for 8 days in August. This will be my raft/hiking shoe.

OMG. I've always had at least one pair of Keen's around; all different models over the years; even hiking boots. I love these Newport H2's and when I saw this STRIPED OPTION (called RAYA BLACK) a couple of weeks ago, I nearly died. The striped webbing is GORGEOUS and this is now my GO-TO shoe! My prediction, this color is going to sell out fast!

Love the Keen Newport H2 and have two pairs--maybe two to four years old. Still holding up; just take a couple of days to dry out. I do use them as water shoes. This pair seems to be made on a different last- broader in the forefoot and the toe is angled up quite a bit at the end. Although these are GREAT shoes, they no longer fit my foot and my big toe hits the shoe and is very uncomfortble out of the box even and that very firm rubber will not give so I'll try another Keen. Thanks, Zappos for the opportunity. If you have a wide forefoot and are a 10.5 size, these shoes would be great for you. Or even a small size 11 foot.

These looked awful on my feet. The front half of the shoe is very wide.

These shoes felt just a bit small. I'm not sure why Keen's sandals are running a 1/2 size smaller these days. The support is great though. I'm just going to exchange them for a larger size.

These are pretty good and give good support. I wish the footbed was a little softer on the surface, it is cushioned enough though.

I ordered both the Newport H2 and the Keen Whisper. The Whisper felt lighter and cooler but they were too narrow for me. The Newport was much wider. It's a sturdier shoe, which will be better for days of walking. Beware that both the H2 and the Whisper run at least a ha H size small.

I ordered multiple pairs of Keens. For some reason, this style was the most narrow. No way for people with wide feet. Disappointed, as two prior pairs of Keens were always plenty wide for my foot.

These are great all around summer shoes. Lots more support than a regular sandal but keeps feet cool and comfortable without socks. Great for long walks, lots of support. I got the Raya stripes and they go with everything Love the colors. I've bought a bunch of shoes recently, but these are by far my favorites and go to shoes.
