I bought these based on a recommendation of a friend and to replace an old pair of Teva sandals. I love my Teva's but my wife says they look old fashioned so I bought these for a trip to Cozumel. They are absolutely terrible in the sand. It packs into the front of the shoe and becomes uncomfortable within 20 steps. To get the sand out you have to either take them off or walk quite a ways shaking your feet. I am hoping they will work better at the lake where there is no sand. Right now they appear to be a pricey disappointment.

First off, I have to say that these are the most comfortable sandals I have ever come across. The reason for my low rating is the sandal's durability. I have had two pair of these sandals and within a couple of months, they started to fall apart in the toe and heel area. I didn't bother to contact Keen when the first pair came apart, since I bought them at an outlet store. I fixed them with my Speedy Stitcher, and they are still hanging in there. I called Keen customer support about the second pair. I have had them 5 months and they are starting to come apart. Unfortunately, I didn't get a favorable response from customer service. My wife is active duty military and we are stationed in Puerto Rico. The representative said that they can't ship a replacement pair to Puerto Rico (surprising since there are Keen dealers here in PR). She said to fill out the warranty and they'll "see what they can do..." Time will tell if I can get a replacement pair. Again, they are super comfortable and I have been using them for all kinds of outdoor activities (hiking, biking, kayaking, etc.). It's just a shame that the quality is just not there.

I liked the closed toe, they are sturdy and good in the water, but the quality is very suspect. I bought these in April and by mid July the stitching was coming apart leaving holes in the neoprene, when spending $90 bucks for a sandal, you should expect much more! I wanted these to last for more than just one summer, very disapointed.

A good looking shoe, I was wanting to replace an older pair of the same model Keen. To my dismay, the cut of the shoe was slightly different. The area near my small toe on my left foot hags up on the leather flap of the upper. Also, the big toe area of the inner sole has an indention that is uncomfortable. I should have sent these back, but I kept hoping they would work out. Now I'm wearing my old pair again which are ragged.

Boy, Keen's are just all over the map when it comes to sizing. I've had a pair for years that were a half-size larger than my normal shoe size. When looking for a new pair, I got the Newport H2 and had to go up yet another half-size. Then it turns out that, unlike my current pair, the Newport H2 has a (for lack of a better term) "toe-ridge" thing on the footbed that I suppose should hit just in back of your toes in that space where toes meet the foot. But everyone's feet are shaped differently. In my case, even though the shoe fit, the toe-ridge hit right under my toes, so every step felt like I was stepping on a pebble! And I was wearing Keens 'cause my toes hurt already!

Brought with on my trip to Israel, expecting them to be similar to my leather Newports. These were way too narrow and left blisters everywhere. Overall, not what I have grown to expect from this incredible brand.

I was very happy with these shoes the first 4 or 5 times that I wore them. Unfortunately, after wearing them a few times, I noticed that the stitching on the labels of both shoes was coming off and that a small hole had formed on the left side, under the stitching. When I called customer service, the rep told me that another person had called earlier in the day to report a similar problem. They were very comfortable, but it might be best to avoid them until they get this problem sorted out. By the way, Zappos customer service was excellent in dealing with the return!

Used these shoes for fishing in the summer of 2010. Upon return from my first outing this year, I noticed that the outside fabric at the very rear of both shoes (where the Keen logo is) has torn away from the backing. The only thing keeping my heel in the shoes now is the flexible neoprene...not optimal. It seems that they should have either wrapped the nylon all the way around the back of the heel, or come up with some better reinforcement. Very surprising for a company with such a good reputation.

I really wanted to like this sandal. So badly, in fact, I ordered several pairs before giving up. Ultimately, the quality control is what did it. One pair had defects in the sole that jabbed my foot; several others had inconsistent attachment points where the straps attached to the sole (leading to an un-uniform fit), and they all fit poorly on the inside of my foot, above the arch. I have feet barely wider than average. If you have wide feet, forget these sandals.

I bought these because a friend bought a pair and I liked the look and their rugged construction, and that they were waterproof. Even though I'll continue to wear them outside, I am disappointed in a couple of things. The overall fit was okay, but I found that the pebbly, inside surface was a bit rough on my heels after wearing them for a few hours. The rubber sole has a very strong, chemical odor - I ran them through the washing machine and still it is there. I have to store them on my porch to keep the rubber smell out of the house. My friend's pair didn't have this smell.

Review for Zappos VIP Points(What's this?)
This was the sixth pair of KEEN Newport H2, all the same size (12D), four pair from Zappos. The others have all been great. But with this pair the strap nearest the ankle doesn't lie flat against the side of the foot, and I see that the stitching on this strap is in a different place than on my other H2s. So I will return them.

Arch support felt too uncomfortable, the back strap felt harsh against my heel, the arch support was okay but felt too much on both sides of my arch. Probably the most uncomfortable things ive ever wore.

This pair of Keens was defective. On the right sandal, the elastic cord became disconnected from the yellow plastic pull tab. I am returning them to Zappos. I have already received a replacement pair. I have worn Keens for years, and I've never had this problem before.

Sadly, Keen doesn't seem to make shoes with wide, roomy toe boxes anymore. I tried the women's size 11 and those were too narrow. So I tried the men's and they weren't any better. Keen used to be our go-to for hiking boots and sandals, but I won't be ordering any more. Sad.

After struggling to get them on, they were not snug enough. Why did they remove the velcro heel strap?

Let me first say, I love Keen sandals. They are the perfect boat shoe and have saved my toes from the pains and penalties of dock cleats many times. The Newport H2 however are the fist Keen shoes that have a design flaw in the outside webbing after the toe. It grabs the pinky toe nail. I've lost 2 nails.

Shoes did not match size specified. Bought Keen sandals before and wore them out, loved them. Went to get new ones but local store didn't have my size so they came from LLBean warehouse. No issues there at all. Put them on and left foot hurt like crazy since too small even though labeled at 11.5 which was the size I had before. Local store took them back. Need to go back and get a set that fits properly eventually. Seems like a manufacturing issue or screw up.

I thought the sandals were a cheaper copy of the Keen brand I purchased last year and the before that. They seem skimpy next to my past purchases.
