This was crazy. I ordered 10.5 US, but they were slightly too small. Replaced with 11, not really any better. Replaced with 11.5, and they were even smaller than the original 10.5s! At that point I just gave up and returned them.
Zappos claims Keen are standard size. No way!

My previous pair of Keens, which were the same size as these, fit perfectly. These are much too tight.

Looking for a good beach/sand walking shoe or sandal, I ordered this. When it arrived, I loved the style and the open back with just the strap appeared it would easily drain out sand at the end of the walk. Unfortunately, I could barely get my size 15 foot in the size 15 Keen Newport H2. The instep is too low. I have a high instep foot. Very uncomfotable. Reluctantly returned.

Fit and size are okay. I had previously own a pair of the Keen sandals which lasted for 8-9 years. I bought these almost two years ago and one of them is already ripping around the heel/Achilles section. I use these at the beach and on the river, but not sure why these new Keen's are not as high quality design as my others.

This model of Keen fits differently from shoe to shoe (and Left to right foot). If you look closely youll notice a 1/2 inch difference in the webbing toward the front toe coverings! Even my older pair has this defect. With these it was worse leaving room for my little toe to stick out. For some reason Keen cant make a true to form left and right sandal!

My son had trouble getting his foot into these and then they were very big and wide, after sizing down a half size from what he wears in sneakers.

Been buying this style/ size for years and in the past always super comfy...but no longer! They are slightly narrower than in the past, and the material is slightly stiffer, making them absolutely miserable to wear.

I expatriated to Ecuador so I waited about 6 weeks for these to arrive here. I wore them for less than a month when the stitching came apart at the ankle seams. Rather unseamly for this brand, pun intended, I am quite shocked actually.

I really wanted to love these. I live in the PNW and they're popular here for good reason. The option to hike in something that breathes and can live in the water too is great, and then if it cools off just put a pair of socks on. No need to have 3 different pairs of shoes.
Unfortunately they just didn't work for me. They look great. The lace pull thing is handy. However, the neoprene lining against the foot doesn't allow nearly as much air to move around as you would think looking at all the openings in the upper. The normal Keen wide toe box is awesome, and the toe cap is nice too. However these felt 1/2 to 1 size too small. In fact with socks on my toes hurt after wearing them for a short while. I considered just going one size up to fix that part, but...
Since not so much air moves through, my feet (even without socks) did not breathe. And the footbed is rather firm so my feet sort of stuck to them like suction cups. As such my feet sweat badly, and within a few hours of wear my feet STUNK taking them off. This happens to me in any shoe I attempt to wear without socks except flip flops.
Last but not least because they are strapped firmly to my feet, any dirt that got in there just got compacted under my foot and either became concrete on my feet or on the footbed. And the footbed didn't clean as easily as I expected it to.
In short they're cool looking and a great idea, but they just didn't work for me. I'll stick to flip flops for being cool, and wearing hikers to hike. I'm trying some breathable Columbia shoes to have a summer all around walker instead.

I love the sandals, but they fell apart too quickly. Stiching at he back loop and at a side seam has given way. I have worn them about 8 hours a week for 8 of the 15 months I've had them. They get light use, mostly on flat dirt trails and the occassional stream. The seam-thread appears to be light cotton rather than some stronger nylon, which should have been used.

i have owned two pairs of the H2. the first pair was great. But my second pair lasted only a year before they started to come apart. And, when I contacted Keen they definitely did not stand behind their product.

I loved the predecessor to these shoes.
Adjustable strap at ankle, really great to trek in because of resilient sole. Not these. With little ankle stretching available and no adjustment strap, these are very difficult to pull on. I suspect they would be virtually impossible to put on when wet because the foot would not slide down into the toe. There seems to be nothing in the sole but hard rubber, making you feel like you are pounding at every step. I've never written a negative review of LLBean products in 50 years of purchases and never sent anything back as unsatisfactory but these.

I got these because I had an older pair of Newport leather version. These new ones fit too tight exact same size as my old ones. Like other reviews I didn't want a size bigger otherwise I'd be wearing clown shoes. The soles are hard as well. I'm not sure what the deal is with Keen if their sacrificing quality materials for cheaper material but same big price. I keep buying them hoping each shoe will be like the old generation shoe but disappointed each time. I bought a pair of hiking shoes a couple yrs ago and they were like wearing two stone slabs with laces had no bending properties to them at all. Ended up donating them and I’m sure who ever got them tossed them. Sorry Keen I think I'm going to move onto a different company. :(

Love Um and Hate Um. They're a great shoe while they last. I use these on vacations where they will get a workout in the salt water. I've had three pairs and each has the same failure. The ankle strap stitching comes loose and the strap falls apart. I'm guessing the threads can't handle the salt water. Keen says they never heard that before yet I've heard from others that the same thing happened to them.

I bought this model based on an similiar Keen model I've had for a few years. Same basic design but the older model had an "A" frame construction, no antimicrobial footbed, and were not marked as waterproof. Couldn't find this style so I bought the Newport H2. Not a great decision. The fit was tight. Not only in width but overall. They have stretched a bit over time but still not as comfortable as they should be. My biggest complaint is that this shoe is HOT! Makes my feet sweat, even using thin footies or no sock at all. Tight in the toe box, tight in the back, not easy to slip on. Will not buy again.

I was so excited when I ordered the sandals, and really wanted to love them. I'm a size 11.5, but ordered size 12 just to be on the safe side.
When they arrived I could barely get them on my feet, and felt way too tight when I put them on. I know my feet are wide, but I've never had any issues with medium sized sandals or shoes. I even tried to walk around for an hour, but had to take them off to get the blood flow back to my feet.
Bottom line is that these sandals may be great for many people, but I had to return them. I'm surprised other people haven't experienced this.

I bought these shoes as an alternative to the heavy boots I usually wear to try to help keep my feet dry during the summer. I find them to be very comfortable and easy to put on and take off, but surprisingly my feet seem to sweat even more in them than in my boots. After wearing them for a couple hours and then taking them off they smell so bad my girlfriend won't let them stay in the house and often makes me wash my feet. I have never had this problem with any other shoe or sandal. I will probably not continue to use them as daily footwear and am investigating other sandal styles, but I will keep them for camping and hiking.

Ordered these after buying Newports and thinking that I might want a different material for the upper. Ordered in an 11 which is a perfect fit in Newport but I can't even get my foot in them in the Newport H2. Why are 11's so different in virtually the same shoe? Returning.

Had these shoes for 2 weeks on my trip to Thailand. I wore them almost day and loved the functionality. Great for walking on a beach or on jungle trail. Unfortunately both back straps broke and I am returning these shoes. I would definitely consider buying them again, but they need to be more durable.

Bought a pair of the Newport H2 from Zappos, love at first wearing. A brilliant design, comfortable and cool. I say cool because I find that all shoes made with synthetic materials tend to be hot. Only slight complaint was the open heel that caused discomfort while driving. The grit on the car floor mats digs into the exposed heel. Regardless, I was extremely pleased with the sandal, so I decided to order more, just in case the model was discontinued. I now have three pairs. As time went on I began to experience discomfort. I kept thinking that I had a stone or some sort of debris under my toes. In fact, the foot-bed was deforming. The patterns that are molded into the foot-bed caused ridges to form along the pattern lines which rubbed the sides of my big toe. This in turn caused a large painful callus to form rendering the sandal useless. I was sent another pair by Zappos (love you guys), to replace the defective pair. But now I know that this was not a defective unit, as all of my sandals have developed the same problem. I have four pairs of unwearable shoes. I have written to Keen about my plight and have not heard from them yet.

Have had 2 pair of these and the straps at the ankles have come apart. On one pair it was even worse - the entire sole on both shoes separated from the uppers! Two years out of pair of these Keen's is about all you should count on. That's a huge amount of money a year, BTW.

Bought these for my husband because I love my Keens and they have lasted over 5 years. Unfortunately, his separated at the sole (at a rather critical moment kayaking on the river!) and are now useless. Very disappointing experience, I will be hesitant to replace my own now with another pair of Keens as i will be worried about the quality.
