I bought the female version for myself 3 years ago, tried a couple of times to convince my husband to get a pair, he's stubborn and wouldn't do it so I got him a pair for Father's Day. Guess what, he loves them, calls them badass! He's been wearing them out in the yard building a water slide where there's sand and water, mud. He plans to walk the creek fishing in them and maybe hiking. I've hiked the smokies and in OR and CA in mine. Dries fast, good grip on soles, has held up well. They aren't attractive but ya can't have everything. Debris does get in but it does in a tennis shoe too, at least with these you don't have to take off the shoe to get it out.

Ordered the same size I had for the last pair of Keen sandals, but they were too small.
Overall, they give a lot of support and feel great. Just need to return and get a 1/2 size bigger.

My husband purchased this same exact style about 15 years ago — if not more — and they were finally giving up the ghost. I surprised him with a new “identical” pair in the same size but, to our surprise, they were smaller than his previous size 11s. It was not due to the old pair stretching out because when placed side to side and sole to sole the new pair was actually about a half inch smaller than the old pair. He had enjoyed these shoes previously and I’m hopeful that he’ll have the same satisfaction once the size is adjusted. I will reorder the 11.5 for him — but Keen shoppers take note.

These were so small that full size smaller was understating how small they were. I have to assume that they were mis-marked as Keen is alway very good on sizing. Since I wanted them to supplement my regular Newports I thought they would be size similar, oops. As always Zappos is the best. All internet stores should be this easy to deal with.

We love Keens and have had many pairs for multiple kids throughout the years but this particular pair fell apart (the canvas became unstitched from the underlying liner) after just 2 months. I consider this more of a random fluke than a problem with Keens in general (unless, of course it happens again). Zappos, as expected, had no problems with sending me a free replacement pair which arrived the next day. Their customer service is unreal!

These are the best made closed toe sandals. With that said the price point is too high. pinches at the pinkie toe, slightly tight at the top of the foot even when lossening. Color choice are good

i usually wear a size 13 but a few reviews say they run a half size small so i bought a 14 and they seem to fit maybe just a hair big when sit but when i stand my big toe reaches the tip about a quarter of an inch my smaller toes have a ton of room the tip of the shoe is really round and does not arche down with the way the toes arch down as they get smaller to the pinkie toe and think that's why it feels large on that side of the foot but i do love them and i would buy them again. also i am 6 foot 6 inches 330 pounds if this helps anyone.

Comfortable, practical, durable and rinsable. A great shoe for summer hiking/walking or anywhere you need extra support/protection and also some air flow for cooling. I like the neoprene covering underneath the cross-straps, and the bungee-style tension laces. Plenty of room at the toe box for movement. The only things that would make these better for the next version would be a softer footbed on top of the EVA that allows for more sweat wicking, evaporation and air movement, and a bit more arch support. The molded plastic is very stiff and gets clammy.

I find the foot bed to be slightly stiff, but that may change with some wear. Overall, relatively pleased with the shoe's performance as an outdoor and hiking piece.

Great shoe over all! My sons wears these most of the year, then we pass them onto our friend when they outgrow them, and they are still in a great condition. And my sons are rough on them - water, sand, rocks, ... then we wash them, and they look great again to wear with pants to a restaurant... The only reason why I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is that they feel a bit heavy on the foot, esp. when you're switching from sneakers at the beginning of the warm season.But the boys get used to it after a while.

Hubby loves these shoes for their comfort, but we bought them to be amphibious on a trip to New Zealand. They do great wet/dry and in between BUT we found we would always get sand/rocks etc. in them from the open toe box and it required removing the shoe to get the rocks out. They worked pretty poorly for a boat-island-boat-island eco tour we took. If that's what you want to use them for, I'd recommend something with a mesh in the front or all around to keep sand/pebbles out. On the other hand, for a water park etc. these are great. They are comfy wet or dry. Hubby wears them around the house randomly, so the comfort is there. Just think about how you will use them and make sure they'll meet your needs.

Very comfortable sandal. I have a bigger foot (16) and they assume the height of the foot is proportional to all other dimensions meaning I have to tighten the elastic strap down a lot to get a decent hold on my foot throughout. Walked festivals and creeks with them and love them.

The color "Raven" and the picture would lead you to believe these are black. They are more like an olive/grayish color. You can never go wrong with Keens but I was expecting to get a darker pair.

These are great sandals. Completely waterproof so you can wear them in the ocean, yet extremely comfortable, so you can wear them every day. I have had a couple pairs of these shoes over the years. Totally awesome! My only complaint is that the uppers will break away from the sole after a couple of years, then they are toast, and you will have to buy a new pair.
There is a lot of fun to be had in these sandals!

Bought these Keen's to replace some aging kayaking shoes. A several week delay in receiving them -- "out of stock." Is Keen still in business? Tried the size 13 and then the size 12. Why don't manufacturers include size 12 1/2 in their rosters? That would be just what I need. Seemed like the 12's would stay on in sticky mud better than the 13's. Just the slightest tad too short however. There is no heel strap adjustment to help secure the sandal. Had the opportunity to try them today on a river. The toe protection is great. The open holes in the side webbing do permit small stones to become entrapped beneath my feet (the replaced shoes have a mesh to exclude stones, but not sand). Was able to wear them driving home. If they will last 8 years and my feet don't grow, I will be pleased with them.

I have had Newports before and worn them continuously during the summer for a few years and loved them. My size doesn't come in Women's,so I have to buy men's 10 1/2. I'm happy with the new pair of NewportH2 and wore them all day, the very next day. Having to wear men's colors is limiting my choices which would be great if there were lighter more basic colors.

keeping in mind that I purchased these 1/2 size up based on reviews, I'm a female with size 12 (women's) feet. hard for me to find in my women's size so the bulkiness may be because a. it's a half size to big and b. i'm a woman. however. overall these are very comfortable and look nice. the sole are a little heavy for me.
