Good sole for hiking or walking on city street.

Normally wear a 10, but my foot was too big to fit through the opening and when they finally got on, they felt a little snug. Moving up to an 11 did the trick - I like the way they wear, they’re comfortable, great for working out in the garden.

I am a fishing charter captain. I wear these Keen sandals every day, all summer. This is maybe the 6th pair of this same style of sandals I have purchased over maybe 15 years. So, yeah, I really like them. They are perfect for what I do, on the boat, every day. They are very comfortable, wet or dry, the non-skid soles grip the deck and the straps are open enough to let my feet breathe but the closed toe and upper protect my feet from the sharp teeth and spines of the fish. By the way, the soles look like they might leave scuff marks on the fiberglass, but guess what- they don't!

so the arch support seemed ok but they dont have an adjustable strap....you have to fit your foot and heel through the opening....very difficult for big feet and you cant adjust how that fits around the ankle. Toes unfortunately rub on the material when walking.

The fit is good and these shoes are better than the previous Merrill shoes of a similar type where unlike them, wearing the KEEN Newport does not dig into my feet at the seams. Much more comfortable than the Merrill were.

Since I am a hard to fit size 11 wide, I decided to try KEEN men's sandals and it worked really well! My feet hate to be wrapped up in walking shoes, they get so hot. But I absolutely have to have support around the ankle. This men's style is stronger around the ankle and I was told the men's sandal has a slightly higher arch. Feels like it to me. SOLD!

Nice sandels, difficult to put on (rear strap is tight).

The best show you can buy hikes that are going to take you through streams that you have to wade across. Also great for caving that includes wading or swimming.

First, I am very pleased with Zappos's communication and fast delivery. Now on to the fit review. I am a true 10. I have a wide foot, so the sandle felt a little snug. However, full disclosure I tried them on with a pair of footie socks. Possibly without the socks it would fit nicely. Over time they will break in and settle to my foot. On the arch support, it is too early in my assessment to issue an opinion. I may follow up with another review after some sustained wear. Overall I am very satisfied. I own other Keen products, they are very well built and I would order these again.

The shoe was tight across the instep.

I normally wear size12.5 athletic shoes. However, that size was not listed for the KEEN Newport H2. Therefore a size 13 was recommended. I'd be much happier with a 12.5.

Caution! I needed to go a full size larger than normal. Otherwise, love Keens. Wish they had better arch support.

So these sandals have been around for quite a long time. I am a long time Keen shoe fan and these are my first H2. I was on the fence with these as many commenters noted they do not work with wide feet. For context, I wear 11 in Keen shoes & boots, which are known to be accommodating for wider feet. New Balance is another go to of mine and I have found that EE or EEEE in some versions fit me best. Thus my initial reluctance on these. I noted others comments to go 1/2 size up, which I did. The quick tie laces with my feet are at the very end, there is no adjustment option at this point. Fine. These honestly feel like 11's toe to heel. Initially when I got them and put them on, they were difficult to get on and tight. After wearing them in the house for a bit, they definitely loosen up and are easy to get on/off. Put the heel of your foot on the back of the sandal so it's under your heel, push forward and that's it. Very comfortable sandals and I like the style. The forefront of the shoe is wide and what I expect from Keen. The middle of the sandal is more narrow, like D narrow. While I wish it were wider and more accommodating for wider feet, it works. What I would say to others with wide feet: If you are on the fence, try them but go at least 1/2 size up. Zappos generous return policy will allow you to return/exchange if it doesn't work. If you intended to wear these with socks for any reason, you may need to go 1 full size up. I think had I ordered the 11 as I normally do with shoes, they may have been too small toe to heel and certainly I'd be concerned with being able to get the sandal on. So far so good with these, hopefully they hold up like the other Keen shoes and boots I have worn through the years.

This shoe is heavy. Those who absolutely MUST have a lot of support will need this heavy shoe but a young person with no health issues can go with a lighter type of Keen.

I liked everything about these shoes, however, there was too much curve in the shoe which threw my gait off and made the shoes too uncomfortable for me to wear.

My old Keens blew out moving my son into the dorm. Caught on something and upper pulled out of sole. I've had them for many years so I wanted to replace them with something the same. (Not sure if the old ones were in the Newport series, but similar in design of upper and identical in tread.) The new ones don't have as much give in the heal and are more difficult to put on. KInda wish they had a size 13.5. I've been wearing them a lot hoping to stretch the heal a bit. Usually prefer to wear boots while moving and doing other yard work. I have to admit once on, these hold up well to pushing a lawn mower on uneven ground. These are tight enough that I have to put them on as loose as they adjust. I do really like the purple color. No confusing these with my son's.

Not as heavy a shoe as my 1st pair, 10 years ago. Maybe a good thing. Have worn them several times and they are ok. I think they will hold up fine
