Great shoes! These felt true to size. I wear an 11 in most athletic shoes and these fit perfect!

The look is very distinctive. It can be both casual and functional. It's not for everyone, but I don't think its suppposed to be. That's part of its appeal. The Feel: Comfortable but not overly so. They are functional footware, and as such they wrap your feet more closely than the typical sandal but they do allow enough give to avoid the constrictive feel of a shoe.

Happy feet, awesome, comfort - This is the most comfortable footwear I've ever stepped into, except for my slippers. So wonderful that I've just ordered a second pair. Good arch support, too.

I saw the qad for these sandals in Mens Journal and instantly thought what a cool looking shoe. I was pleased with the look and the overall comfort. These could work in a variety of uses for outdoor use or for casual wear with jeans. My wife orderd a pair for her Dad for Fathers Day so they must be popular in my house. Very comfortable overall with good cushioning and moderate arch support. They keep the toes protected more than most which is good and bad. They have a rugged outdoor look which would be great for camping as well as a cool urban look for the city. I would recommend them highly and they're a good quality well-made sandal for the money.

These I have to say are one of the most comfortable sandals I have ever worn. There is no wear in time with these sandals. They are positively light and flexible.

I love this sandal. My foot feels like it's riding a light weight all terrain luxury vehicle. I read the previous reviews for this shoe and ordered a 1/2 a size up and it fit perfect. That was great information, especially ordering online. This will be a very popular selling shoe.

Well, let me start and say that I was blown away when I saw this sandal. This is what I have been looking for over the past couple of years. The shoe is very comfortable. It has Serdia which is a footbed lining that absorbs and neutralizes footwear odor. This shoe was built from the bottom up not the top down which allows it to fit your foot better. Great shoe and very comfortable.

I have an aversion to regular shoes, but wanted a little more protection than Tevas. The Newports are exactly what I was looking for. I usually wear an 8 1/2 wide, so I ordered a 9 regular. They fit perfectly. I wore them for an out of town weekend directly out of the box. Rain, mud, etc...was no problem for these shoes. Highly recommended.

Martin Keen has designed the ideal, all-purpose, adventure shoe, especially for the summer. It performs exceptionally well on rugged surfaces, yet is equally dependable and fashionable on any terrain. It comfortably cradles the foot without cramping it. I especially like the toe guard and it's versatility in water. Wow! For years, I joked that I'd start wearing sandals when somebody made a steel-toed version. Well, these are the next best thing...ruggedly handsome and very comfortable, and my ten little piggies are protected from bumps, abrasions and prying eyes!

Great multi-use sandal... I picked these up as a general wear sandal, and also to be used for wading, creek walking, and kayaking. They are a really great shoe. Only negatives are the steep price, and the fact that the style may not quite be for everyone (but who really cares how they look compared to how good they perform).

Best sandals I've owned, hands down. Only reason I'm giving the sandals 4 stars on comfort is because the first time I wore them I went on a two mile hike and received one heck of a blister under my lower right arch. Haven't gotten a blister since though, so may just need to be broken in good with socks on first. Extremely comfortable now and very versatile.

Great water and beach shoe as well as a very comfortable sandal. Sizes run about a half size small, so consider this when ordering.

Foot hardware for off road and on. No matter how ugly a shoe gets, if my feet are happy, I am happy! Ugly works just fine with the Keen shoe. Comfortable first step to last, a nice wide toe box with bumpers, an insole shaped like your foot is shaped, open air to let nature in, who cares if they look like they were built at the hardware store! They're great! They run maybe a quarter size small so size up a half a size, especially if you wear socks with them.

Ran short about a full size. Wish the heel strap were adjustable, but ok without. Exchanged for one size larger, very comfortable. Walked a mile right out of box. I have a pair of size 14 Teva for several years, and they are most comfortable of any of my shoes, but are no longer available above size 13, so tried these in 14, but had to go to 15 in Keen.

Don't know if the black/gold mens' 13 size fits smaller than the others, or if I just got a somewhat defective shoe, but I tried these Newports on in a 13 in my local outfitters store and they fit perfectly. The black/gold pair, same 13 size, however, fits more narrow than the store try-ons. Other than that, they are comfortable, I just wish they fit as well as the earlier pair. Don't have much else to write in this regard.

I love this shoe, it's just a little tight over the top of my foot, making me think that it runs a little narrow. Otherwise, a great shoe to slip on and go, and I've done light hiking in them as well with no problems.

I bought these to replace my worn out Laguna. Why they changed the design baffles me. The opening near your little toe can become very uncomfortable. This was covered in Laguna. That is my main complaint with the design change.

Good shoe for hiking.

Zappos did not have the color I wanted in my size. This one has, however, served me just fine. It is my second pair of basically the same model. One issue is that my little toe on the right foot tends to stick out, as the strap is a bit far forward for me.

Had to buy a 10 as they are narrow. Usually wear a 9.5. If you wear a wide in some shoes, you might need go a half size up. It did not look like they offered a wide.

Very good points, some bad points. Tough rubber toe cap prevents me from stubbing my toes when my foot slips on the bike or playing with the dog. I wore socks with them the first week then they were broke in just fine. Very comfortably cool ventilation wise. No smelliness yet like some similar sandals report. Now about those arch supports - although the arch supports are not flat but are not very high and neither are located in the same place on both feet. I looked and one is more forward than the other and my feet do notice. Having said that, i have high arches and supination so finding comfortable shoes that I can wear all day is challenging. These sandals are acceptable but I am still seeking the perfect support and comfort. Oh yeah, fits the same as your shoe size because you wear socks with shoes but not with these, got it? Width is right on the mark, not to skinny.
