A Life Saver!
I had to have a bunion removed from the side of my right foot. Being a woman with wide feet, I needed something that would allow room for my bandages without crowding my toes. These shoes worked perfect. I could even wear them with socks! Though I don't have my bandages, my Newport's still hold my foot without slipping. I loved these shoes so much that I just ordered another pair of men's Newport's (2). All I can say is AWESOME!!

He LOVES THESE SHOES! Bought my husband a pair 3-4 summers ago. He wore them every warm day, whether gardening, farming, trekking, or with a pair of casual shorts. If they got dirty I threw them in the washer! After 3+ years they have begun to show some wear, so I bought him another pair. He says they are the most comfortable, rugged shoe he has ever owned!

My foot measures 10.5M, wear 10.5-11 in most shoes. TIP: BREAK IN FOR 7-10 DAYS WHILE WEARING SOCKS... YOUR FEET WILL THANK YOU!!!
I find this style works great in a size 10 (one half to one size smaller) with or without socks. A black ankle/anklet style worn with this shoe can make it look more like a traditional low/light hiker. Good support and cushion for a sandal style. Easy to snug up the fit for action or loosen for a cooler casual feel.
I would rate this shoe equal to Chaco ZX2 (also fits half size smaller), although they each have their own strengths and styles.

KEEN NEWPORT: A WINNER FOR FICKLE FEET -
My husband RARELY finds a shoe that is comfortable and flattering at the same time. This shoe made the cut. He has an incredibly high arch (and he has hammer toes) so it is difficult to find attractive shoes that don't cause him pain. He has even washed them and they came out looking brand-new.

Took me 3 tries, but I found the perfect shoes. I originally got a size 13 because I wear that size in all other shoes. The 13's gave me blisters, so I returned them and got a size 12. These are so comfortable. Try going down a size from what you usually wear.

I am one of those women who have incredibly wide feet and cannot wear most women's shoes. The men's Keen Newport's are wonderful! They are not dressy, but functional. The nubuck leather is soft but sturdy, forming to the foot nicely. The sole is very sturdy and with the slipping, allows for traction even in the dampest climate. I'm sold on Keen. Now if Keen would only make some men's sizes in women's colors, I'd be in heaven!

I've owned my Keen Newport sandals for just over 2 years now and I have worn them regularly for two summers. I bought them for a trip to Hawaii because I needed a shoe that was durable, supportive and could go in and out of water. It proved to be the perfect shoe. You wouldn't want to do any major hiking with this shoe but for lighter hikes that take you across rock-laden streams or for exploring along the shoreline where you might be in and out of water and scurrying up and over rocks they are perfect. No need to worry about ruining your good hiking shoes or sneakers in the water, and no need to go barefoot when exploring that tidepool filled with broken seashells.
Pros: Easy to take on/off; easy to clean (just rinse off with the hose and let air-dry); they resist smelling funky and usually your feet don't smell after wearing them; comfortable to wear; front toes are covered and protected by solid rubber (which is an awesome feature when you are wading in water filled with rocks and you can't see the bottom - no stubbed toes); the water drains out of them quickly so you don't have that "heavy foot" feeling when you come out of the water; they dry relatively quickly.
Cons: Pebbles and water can get trapped up in the space between the toes and the front of the shoe. I'd rather have the toe protection and live with this drawback, but it would be nice if a redesign could provide the best of both worlds; the adjustable strap is much longer than it needs to be and I don't like how the excess slack flops around when walking and it detracts a bit from the overall appearance of the shoe.

This is a great shoe. Very comfortable. It is a little warmer on my feet then you might expect out of a sandal, otherwise a great shoe. They clean-up easily after true outdoor wear, as well.

Best Pair of Sandals I Have Owned -
I have a summer home on an island in NH. We hike, boat, enjoy water sports and endure colder weather late in the year. These sandals are well suited for the extremes and are very comfortable. I had no blisters and they fit perfectly right out of the box. They look great and are extremely well made. Best of all, I paid for standard shipping and received them next day UPS! The service at Zappos is a “Best Practice” for others to follow. I will buy again & again! Cost of gas to go the mall is more than I paid to have the shoes shipped to me -- easy decision on my part.

I’ve known the Keen brand for some time and I’ve wanted these shoes for a while and with summer approaching I bought them via Zappos instead of a brick and mortar store. I do not any apprehensions at all. Fortunately Zappos was nice enough to speed up my delivery, for free, so it only took 2 days to get the shoes. I have one other pair of Keens so when these weren't quite as long as I thought maybe I should need I remembered my experience with my other Kens which were much wider if I went up another size. I've stayed with this pair and I’ve not had any discomfort at all. My toes weren't hitting but I just thought I would so I was a bit concerned at first. Overall I am very satisfied with my new shoes and the keen brand! My wife has a couple of pairs of Keens and she is very satisfied.

Love this sandal! Totally comfortable and great for regular walking and hiking. I live about 10,000 feet in the Rockies in Colorado and at this time it is still cold (May) so I wear socks with them. They are definitely an all season shoe. I would also recommend the Keen Venice. It's a really cute sandal and is as versatile as the Newport.

I bought a pair of these sandals two full years ago and have worn them almost every day since. If there is snow and slush I'll wear some normal shoe, but I really want my Keens whether it's hot or rainy or bitterly cold. They are the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. They are easy to slip on and off, they go in and out of the water with me, and the reinforced toe has saved me many injuries. I even wear them to the opera at the Kennedy Center! And they still look pretty darn good after all this wear.

At last.
First time buyer. Bought the women’s 9 and it was too small. Customer service spent 30 minutes on the phone with me and after discussion she recommended a men's Keen.
