I wanted to love these shoes. They looked so comfortable, but when I tried them on, the strap that goes over the front of my foot was so tight it was painful. I could hardly get my foot into them. Have never run into this problem before. Really weird. Back they go!

These sandals have been great for my plantar fasciitis, especially since I live in NYC and walk everywhere. However, I've only had the shoes for about a month and half and the straps have stretched out pretty far. It wouldn't be such a problem but they fasten with Velcro and it's getting harder and harder to make sure they stay securely fastened. Hopefully I can get them repaired in such a way that I can continue wearing them.

Once again the black matte doesn't fit. I'm giving up on it. This was my third try this summer to get a matte black, and each time the fit is way off. I ordered this particular pair at the same time as two other colors in the same size. Both of the others fit, and the matte black has to be returned. Naot, you have a quality control problem at whatever factory is making the matte black!

After years of wearing Naot Kayla every day and owning it in several colors, suddenly the fit is not reliable. I've had to return several - but not all - of the ones I've ordered, all in the same size. Fit seems to vary by color. What has happened to Naot quality control? The ones that fit are not lasting as long and look the same but offer less support than earlier versions in the same style and size.

As a person with flat feet, I spent so long trying to find a cute pair of sandals with nice arch support for the summer and finally found these. One shoe fit my left foot well, while the footbed of the other kept poking into the sole of my right foot. I tried getting a size up in hopes it would be somewhat wider to accommodate my right foot, but it did not help at all. Unfortunately had to return both pairs. I really wish they made this shoe in a slightly wider size, it would be so much better!!! Really cute shoes though, they made my feet look nice.

I bought these after reading the reviews. First off, these shoes run small. I generally fit a medium but no in these. And the sole is not as comfortable as I thought from reading the review. I will not try this brand anymore.

These are really cute shoes, but the sizing is way off! I normally wear size 12 and that is usually very accurate. The 12 was too small, so I sent those back and got the 13. My toes were at the very end. I am going to have to send them back. I am very disappointed in these!

Leather is very stiff and straps are much tighter than same sandal in nubuck. My feet would be aching before I could ever break them in. They were very attractive but I had to return.

I do not know what is with Naot. I have a few pairs and own this Kayla in red (a few years old). The new one does not fit properly, is too big and the straps are stiff so they are going back. Sorry, Naot, but that was then and this is now.

I got this style in Biscuit Leather. The picture on the website makes them look like a lovely glossy leather, but in reality, the leather is just weird. I think Naot was going for a distressed look, but it ends up looking like you spilled bleach on your sandals and then left them in the sun -- and not in a good way.

I have only worn these shoes a few times last summer and the bottoms got smooth and slick too fast. I have several Kayla's and they lasted years. Leather also stretching out faster.

I returned these. Although the style of these sandals is attractive, the fabrication is a problem. The strap that goes across the top of the foot, to attach with a Velcro strip, is cut and sewn in such a way that it must sit vertically rather than at the angle necessary to wrap the foot and still lie flat. It is possible that I received a faulty pair, but since both left and right were the same, I think it is an issue with the design. When I put the shoes on, the strap buckled and stuck out where it met the sole. The other thing I disliked about them was the fact that part of the Velcro strip remains visible when the strap is attached, and looks really ugly. I do not have especially large ankles or high instep. Oddly, given the problem with the ankle strap, the straps that cross the forefoot are rather loose, and rubbed when I walked.

I wanted to love the Naot Kayla, but alas it doesn't work for my average-width, low-volume feet. I like the sleek looking style very much and need something like the black reptile patent for work, but the foot bed is not wide enough for my forefoot. In Naot I usually wear a 41; in this style I also tried a 42. Both are going back today. The additional length in the 42 was okay (not too much), but it still wasn't wide enough to contain my whole foot on the foot bed with no overhang when standing. It's a nice enough shoe that I almost talked myself into keeping it, but I know that would have been a mistake. (Sigh.)

Nice color, nothing special about the style. There is a stitching problem at the upper left on one of the straps. So sharp it would have cut my foot. Don't want to take a chance on another pair. Unfortunately, these are going back.

I have one size 11 foot and the other 11 1/2, so I usually squeeze into open toe Naot's size 42 and have a couple pairs that I love and want to replace, this time with size 43. But this style in 43, very similar to what I have, is actually shorter than the 42 I have at home (& I mean the bottom black sole!). I don't know if it's a fluke, but I'm disappointed. Also, straps looser (despite shorter length).

I have a pair of these in brown and I just love them so I decided to get the black as well. I am very disappointed in the leather. It is quite thin and flimsy compared to the brown ones. I am seriously thinking about returning them but I do love how they fit. I have never returned shoes before. I had not read the reviews on these particular shoes because I was so happy with the other color. I plan to go back and do so and see if anyone else feels as I do.

Same shoe that was comfortable in a different color, but this one was both short and narrow on my foot. And this is after ordering up one size. I've tried several Naot styles, but think I'm going to give up on the brand as their shoes seem so inconsistent in fit.

This sandal runs too wide across the toes. Straps are too loose. Velcro also pulls apart sometimes.

The leather straps were too stiff and the velcro closer strap stuck up. The footbed was not as cushy as I had hoped.

Returned them. These didn't fit right. I'm normally a 7 (38) and it was too short. I exchanged it for an 8 (39). The length was fine but the shoe was too wide. Didn't want to pay this price for a loose shoe. Disappointed. Will try again with another Naot shoe. I loved the pair my mom bought me several years ago.

These were a complete disappointment. The materials used to make these shoes were poor. The leather straps were thin and flimsy, the cork footbed was too thin. Naot always had a great product that was worth the price-that’s no longer the case. Do not recommend.

They felt flimsy and not comfortable for the money.
