Not Good For High Arches - I love the flower ornamentation on this shoe! But sadly, this shoe did not fit me at all well. The width of the shoe was fine. I have wide feet and the width was still comfortable. But the thong strap itself did not accommodate my high arched feet. It cut into the tops of my feet and I couldn't wear them for even two minutes. I suppose they could be stretched by a shoe repairman, but considering the price of this shoe I didn't think it was worth it. I LIVE in thongs and sandals and have never had this problem with any other shoe.

Violette - Very cute shoe, but not as well-designed as other Mephisto shoes I own (Helen, especially). Straps were not comfortable, as shoe moves like a flip-flop when walking. I returned this shoe.

Violette hurts one foot - I own 30 pairs of Mephisto and have never had a problem with fit. The Violette fits my right foot, but the thong is so thick on the left that it cut my foot. I think the Helen is more comfortable, but the Violette is prettier.

OUCH! I have the Mephisto Helen sandals and they are so comfy that I could go hiking in them. These have the same good arch support, but the straps rubbed the tops of my feet so badly after wearing them only once that I could have permanent scars. Too bad I can't return them and get another pair of Helens instead!

These are the least favorite of my many pair of Mephistos. I got them in black and have only worn them a few times because while the little flower is cute, it rubs very painfully between/on the top of my toes and hurts! Maybe if I could stand it, it would get better, but I'm not going to wear shoes if they're not comfortable. That's why I wear Mephistos!

Had to return these sandals... The arch was way too high for me, an archless one, and my toes hung over the edges when I walked. The length was ok, but there was something wrong with the placement of the toe divider.

will never wear these shoes again-wasted $$$ I was so excited about these shoes. Went to NYC and wore them the first night and got blisters on my feet and ruined my whole trip. I had worn the shoes a couple of times before but they stretched out so bad. I can't even wear them again. I love the Mephisto Helen. When my blisters on the top of my feet healed (liquid bandaid), I was able to wear the Helens on my last day in NY.

Blisters - I have worn many Mephisto shoes and have never had a problem. These gave me terrible blisters.

Best shoe ever! Comfortable and stylish. I'm ordering my third pair. If Mephisto ever stops making this style, I'll be lost!

Love these shoes! They stay on really well for a flip flop type shoe.

Wish it was offered in a wide width. I have a mildly wide foot and this sandal just was not wide enough. Otherwise well made and relatively cute.

Love this sandal! The patent with the flower give it a great look. So comfortable. For me Mephisto sandals run a size smaller so I go up one size.

Love 'em! We are heading to Disney World and needed comfortable walking shoes. In order to reduce packing - decided to purchase shoe that would be attractive for causal dress up as well as comfortable for walking...these fit the bill. They did need a little break in because of the patent leather being a little stiff at first but after a few wears - no problem. Plus Mephisto has a great refurbish department!

I have 4 pairs of "Violette" Mephisto sandals...black patent, red patent, white patent, and blue patent. They are, by far, the most comfortable "go to" shoes in my closet. They have a cradled sole that hugs my foot for unbelievable comfort. And thank you, Zappos, for your phenomenal shipping service!

Got the white ones. Very comfortable out of the box. Stylish enough to wear with just about anything.

Haven't taken them off since they arrived. Feels like I'm walking on a velvet marshmallow! I have bad feet that constantly ache, but they feel much better in these. Not quite as clunky as Birkenstocks, and prettier. The thong part had an odd shape at first, but after a couple of days it altered to fit the form of my foot.

Excellent sandals. The footbed hugs the bottom of my foot. I had a little discomfort on the top of my feet from the straps the first couple of times that I wore them but it was probably because I hadn't worn sandals for a year. I would highly recommend these sandals especially if you are on your feet a lot.

This is my second pair of these sandals. I wore my last pair basically every day for a year and, in my travels, I lost them! I just got another pair of them and they are fantastic. They do take a few days to break in the piece between the toe but once you've done that, you will be so happy with this sandal. I also have 3 other different styles of Mephisto sandals...need I say more?!

I love these sandals. I typically wear a 7 1/2 and take a 38 in European sizes. These fit perfectly without my toes or heel even slightly over the edge. I have a slightly wide foot and a high arch. These sandals provide great support. I can walk in them all day, yet they are cute and I do not feel like I am in fuddy duddy shoes.

Oh my goodness these are so comfortable as well as looking adorable! I purchased the white and the color is crisp and clean looking and naturally will go with anything. One of my all time favorite sandals.

Love these sandals. I have several colors and many other styles of Mephistos. Keeps my back in alignment and are so super comfortable.

This is my favorite sandal of all time. The comfort, the style, and the colors simply cannot be beat. I have six (6) pairs of Violette in different colors (actually two in black because it is so compatible with all my clothes). You cannot go wrong with this wonderful sandal...and they last for years!

My favorite summer sandal! These were a bit tight at first, and I wore a bandaid on my right top foot for a week breaking them in, but I knew they would eventually be perfect -- and they are. Beware of getting them wet (very wet). If you do, take them off 'til they dry. The leather stretches and they are slightly big now, but they are still my fave! This is my 4th pair of Mephisto sandals. It is by far the most excellent, long lasting, and comfy shoe brand.

They are the most comfortable shoes ever. I have at least 6 different pair of these shoes.Always perfect fit. I would highly recommend them to anyone. Although they are pricey they are worth it. They also hold up.
