Mephisto Violette - I bougth this shoes in white last summer and absolutely loved them. They are about $40 cheaper now than when I bought them last summer, so I just could not resist and bougth them in black and green as well. It is true that if you have high arches the straps may rub a little (as they did for me), but in a couple of days they fit like a glove. If you want a cute, but very comfortable shoe (with great support), get these.

This is a wonderful sandal. Has the comfortable support I expect from Mephisto and great style. I love the color! Would like to get it in every color for this summer.

Feminine and Floral - What a feminine look for Mephisto! This is great because the fit and comfort accompany this great look. This sandal would be great in bright colors such as hot pink, kiwi, orange, yellow, and drk purple. This is now my favorite style which I hope to see in more colors real soon.

MEPHISTO VIOLETTE VS. OTHER MEPHISTOS - I own numerous Mephistos and thought that ordering my usual size would be a no-brainer, but it was REALLY wide feeling at the straps, sorta sloppy. The shoe is SO nice looking that I will make do with a size smaller - a bit short, but the straps fit. Have to own it!

Very attractive, not narrow enough for my foot - I love the look of this shoe! Only wish it was a bit more narrow or had a buckle to adjust. The shoe fits my instep perfectly.

Wish they still came in white! I usually wear a size 40 (US 9) but Mephisto's conversion of 40 = US 10 was accurate. Mephisto no longer makes this style in white so I am out of luck (unless I keep my unworn size 40 which are sort of big). But I do like the look and they seem comfortable.

These are more comfortable that Birkenstocks! I was looking for a comfort sandal with some style and I am not disappointed. A note about Mephisto sizing. I wear a size European 42, which is typically converted to a US size 11, but Mephisto says a 42 is a size 12. They were right. The 12 fit perfectly. So, pay attention to their size conversion chart.

Love Them! They took a few days to wear in the toe divider, hurt at first. Now they are very comfortable and so cute! I can wear them with everything.

I already own two pairs of Mephisto thong sandals somewhat like these. They are the best looking and most comfortable sandals I have found. What I like is that they are very elegant, feminine sandals and not like the all-terrain ones in the marketplace. They fit like a glove, so when I saw this new, dressier version I had to have them. They are pricey, but well worth the cost. They look great with jeans, shorts and skirts. You can see that these are made extremely well and will last for years. I would like to see them made in pastel colors for the summer.

I was really looking forward to this sandal as a change from my usual "Helen" which I have worn for years. But the foot bed is very narrow and for me very uncomfortable. I even matched it up with one of my Helens and it was visibly narrower. I hope this is a fluke and that if I go back to Helen all will be well because I have always thought Mephisto sandals were fabulous with great arch support.

Very cute shoe and seemed like it would be very comfortable, but had to return them since they were just a bit too narrow; my little toe felt pushed upward. I've never owned a pair of Mephisto's and I'm disappointed these didn't work out. My foot is on the narrow side of medium usually. I also didn't like the color. I ordered the soft white, but the color in person is more grey. The photo shows the white with a black sole, and the pair I received. Had a white sole which I didn't care for the way it looked. I also have a very high arch/instep and the arch support felt very good, which is difficult for me to find.

Don't get me wrong, this is a phenomenal sandal, but I wear almost exclusively Mephistos and these are not my favorite for one simple reason: the width of the straps are not proportionate to the width of the footbed. This isn't a particularly wide shoe but it has very loose straps. Perhaps because it isn't adjustable they decided to make it loose. I can live with it because it's so cute, but it's not ideal.

Violette - The shoe rubbed a blister on lt. foot under where the flower was sewn, but not on the right. Go figure. I think the stitching needed trimming, & will eventually be "broken in".

Pretty, but... I really like the look of this shoe, and the arch support is terrific for my high arches. However, if I walk very much in them, the straps on top cut into my foot and leave blisters, so I have to wear two band aids per foot.

I brought this shoe along just to wear to the pool on a recent cruise. My other "walking sandals" gave me a blister on the side of my foot. I ended up wearing these because they did not touch the blistered area. What a great shoe! They didn't flip-flop. They stayed with my foot throug 4 more ports and many miles. These will be great as house shoes in the summer or for standing all day. Zappos is a great way to buy shoes for those of us with hard to find sizes,

Very quick shipping by Zappos and easy return. Shoe strap of this Mephisto model is loose on my foot and I believe it would have stretched further. I really like the way a now discontinued model, Babata, fit. They never stretched, but the flower petals curled.

Violette runs very large!! This is my fourth pair of Mephisto sandals and the first time I am disappointed. They run very large and wider than my other Mephistos. I do love the look of the Violette, though! Also, there was a flaw on the leather where they glued on the flower decoration which causes a blister on the top of my foot.

My Mephistos - This a great brand for those of us who need arch support. It feels therapeutic and is a good look too.
