Sunbeat - I have a disability and this is one of the only shoes that I can wear.

My first pair of Sunbeat was the black smooth leather.I wore them lots every summer--my orthotic even stays in place in this sandal. They finally needed to be replaced. I wanted black again but they only have black in nubuck, not in smooth leather. I would have preferred the smooth leather. Here's the odd part--this new pair is about 3/8 inch longer than my original pair--same size 5 1/2vB--so I don't love them as much. The length difference is puzzling???

I've been trying to find sandals like some Springers I bought years ago. They were like these, but with laces rather than buckles. These are almost as good, but not quite. They will do, but I won't be trying to replace them 15 years later like my old ones.

Comfort - I love the shoes, but I got them to go on vacation. Without getting used to the shoes I wore them to go golfing. I did have a little discomfort after 9 holes. They are not made for this activity, but I can't imagine doing this with any other pair of shoes.

Comfortable! These are not pretty shoes, but they are so comfortable! They were actually my very first pair of Clarks. I had to have more and have numerous pairs of Clarks. I have tried many different brands of shoes and Clarks BY FAR make the most comfortable shoes! Keep up the great work Clarks.

I had been disappointed to find that the Clarks sandals I had worn for years were no longer in stock. I was stunned to find a Clarks sandal that looked remarkably like my old ones and the name was only one letter off. I have been very pleased that the fit, the wear, the tread are just exactly what I was looking for. I was also pleased by the fact that they arrived days earlier than I expected. The only slight flaw is that the color rubs off on socks slightly the first time they are worn. It hasn't been a continuing problem.

Different from how made a few years ago- I have a foot that is very hard to fit and a few years ago bought this shoe in Taupe. It was very comfortable and sleek looking and fit me beautiful. I decided to get this shoe in the same size but it was larger and klutzy looking. I decided to keep it because it is comfortable (at 70 comfort is most important) and I would wear it with black socks. I ordered another pair 1/2 size smaller for stockings, but it would have been nicer if they had kept it sleek looking.

Sloppy but comfy - Based on glowing reviews, I purchased this sandal for my first cruise vacation. It worked very well for my deck excursions, but as the leather stretched, I found that the heel strap became very sloppy. Unfortunately it is not adjustable. Also, there is very little cushion in the bed of the shoe, just some light padding. I found them to be excellent for short jaunts, but after a day spent walking in Key West, my heels were killing me.

I love them, but soles crumble. I have had at least twenty pairs or more over the last fifteen years in lots of colors. In fact, just bought the magenta and yellow pairs. I have had to throw half away due to crumbling. Does anyone repair these?

Willing to give it another try - I have very narrow bony feet (AA) and find these shoes to be most comfortable. The adjustable straps make them work for me. Unfortunately, the soles of the last pair I had completely disintegrated at a relatively early stage. Am hopeful this was an anomaly.

Disappointed - I bought a pair of these shoes many years ago & they lasted for years. They were extremely comfortable & did not have to be broken in. The new pair that I have just ordered to take on vacation where I will be walking a lot are definitely not the same shoe. The foot bed is nowhere near as comfortable & the leather needs to be broken in before I can wear them for any length of time. The look is the same, but they are not a comfortable shoe for all day walking & I will not be able to take wear them on vacation.

Not like my old Clarks - I was very disappointed with this order. Zappos was great to deal with but the shoes were not of the quality of my previous Clark's of the same style.

I have “fit-um” feet - I have a difficult to fit foot so I usually settle for shoes that offer flexibility that is, adjustable buckles. These are real "old lady" type sandals but what can I do? Can't a hard-to-fit foot also find a nice looking shoe or sandal?

Clarks Sunbeat - As others also noted the leather is thin. I bought my first pair of Clarks 13 or 14 years ago for about the same price I paid for these, so I guess they had to cut somewhere. The shoe is comfortable though. Again as others noted it’s hard to get the back strap to feel properly tightened, but I still will wear the shoe as it is comfortable.

I love Clarks and was excited to get their old standard, the Sunbeat for the first time. I was a little disappointed. The leather seemed thinner and cheaper than I was used to in some of my other Clarks, and somehow I felt they were smaller than I expected, my toes seemed to sort of "hang out" at the front more than usual, and I have short toes, so that was unusual. Also, there wasn't as much cushioning in the sole as some of my ancient old Clarks clots--I seemed to sort of jarringly bottom out on every step. I thought that if I were on vacation and doing a lot of walking I would definitely have serious foot fatigue at the end of a very few hours. I do walk a lot in the city now, and these are not the shoes I would pick for that. I am a little disappointed, although they are comfy shoes--I have a high standard for Clarks and these just don't really measure up.

Not my old Clarks - These are a much firmer and stiffer walk than my last pair of Clarks of several years ago. Also, the last has been changed and feels longer and skinnier, though I can't see that a difference in size or width would help - it's just shaped differently. I don't enjoy them as much.

Sunbeat means SUN only! I absolutely loved these sandals right from the box to my feet. I wore them out to Disneyland Paris, loads of walking on a bright sunny day... no problems. The problems started during a brief rain shower, the leather stretched (good that they have adjustable buckles) and the padding on the bottom of the sandal came unglued. Great pair just do not wear in rain or get wet.

Clarks's shoes - This style three strap sandal is very comfortable; however, they look terrible. Several years ago Clark's made a similar sandal with two straps instead of three. They look so much better. I bought them in every color available, and I still have them. They're quite worn, and I would buy them in every color again if Clark's would make them. Three straps look old and orthopedic.

Close, but could be better! I waited to review this item to see how the shoe would hold up. I was disappointed that with very little wear, the stitching started to unravel. The shoe should look fairly new, but does not. Also, the lack of an adjustable back strap is a problem. The shoe fit, but the back needed to be adjusted shorter. Now that it has stretched with usage, it becomes a hazard in that my feet easily slip out of the shoe while walking. The arch support is adequate but I've seen far better with comparably priced sandals. My feet hurt after wearing this shoe for an extended period of time because of improper support and thin cushioning that does not absorb shock very well. This shoe is definitely on the right track, but still has a ways to go. However, it is one of the best I've found on-line.

Red patent leather - The red patent leather disappoint me somewhat. Size seems smaller than leather and nubuck models. I own many Clark sandals and will get more but not the patent leather.

Remarkable Service - I tried to find a sandal that my mother needed in several retail stores and at websites. Zappos had it unlike many others. I asked for free standard shipping but they upgraded me to 2-day air service at no cost to me. I placed my order on Wednesday and received it on that Friday just as they said I would. The shoes are exactly what I needed and the service was impeccable.

Disappointed - I have been trying to wear the Clark Sunbeat sandals that I ordered from you but after about an hour my feet become very tired and begin to ache. My old Clark's keep me comfortable all day. I noticed that the new Clarks are made in Italy instead of England and I'm wondering if somehow they are made differently? If you could tell me how to find a pair that are made like the ones made in England I would really appreciate it!!! I have fallen arches and Osteoporosis so finding a comfortable shoe is of utmost importance to me.

Clarks sunbeats - I like these pink sandals with reservations. They are stable and were fine on a 2 mile walk. However, the inside straps were scratching my skin so I adhered some thin moleskins to the underside of the strap to make them more comfortable. There's a nice lining on the back heel strap that is not on the rest of the sandal. Why? They should line the entire straps with something smooth and just charge a few dollars more. Then, they would be worth the money. I think these would be better sandals if they had a lining throughout. Though they are fine with moleskins, I'm only giving 2 stars for comfort because I shouldn't have to pad them.
