I'm very happy with my new New Balance shoes. I work as a library shelver and have to walk all over, pushing huge cart loads of books and these shoes are comfortable, don't hurt my toes and have decent arch support.

They don't fit correctly - the area in the toes fees tight. I bought another pair of the same model number MW811 - in tan - they fit perfectly. However, the tan pair were made in the US and the dark brown pair (the pair being returned) were made in China. They were on sale; the tan ones I ordered and will keep (and am very happy about) were regular price.

I ordered this walking shoe for my husband. He says they are very comfortable! He wore a similar brad for years until it was discontinued. The only con is the white color is really bright!

This id one of the most comfortable pair of shoes I've ever owned. They fit like a glove and offer terrific support. One warning is they are constructed from a synthetic fabric and are not water resistant, otherwise perfect.

I use these shoes for work where I walk around a University campus throughout the day. They feel confortable, but could use a bit more cushioning. And unfortunately, the style is more suited for casual walking rather than for a business or office setting. The shoes feel light, but that also gives it a slight flimsy feel to them. However, they don\'t show any signs of wear yet. Overall, I still like them.

I like the 811s I purchased! They are a little tight, as I'm a 5E vs the shoe at 4E, but they are wearing in and all is well and I'm happy! What really impressed me was the service you provided. The 1st pair I ordered were definitely too small! So I called customer service and I experienced the best service in my life and I'm 61! The person opened by saying good morning, etc. I told them I needed to return the shoes and they totally unexpectedly told me that was no problem. They would send me a larger pair at no cost to me. That just doesn't happen anymore! And the person was very nice.

First, Zappos is the real deal. Upgraded shipping for free and received overnight. Thanks Bryan and Amber! NB 811 is a solid walking shoe for exercise/fitness walkers. Third pair for me, but I always forget about the "break in". They are on the heavy side, warm side and stiff side but work their way into good comfort within about 50 miles. It is unfortunate that if you want light weight, mesh breathability and out-of-the-box flexibility you have to move up to the more expensive options, especially if you want to stick with the SL 2 last with a larger toe box.

Nice shoe with 1 problem -
This is a comfortable shoe when the tongue is centered. I bought mainly because it is available in narrow. The problem is that the slit in the tongue that allows the laces to pass through is so low that it doesn’t keep the tongue centered. It walks off to one side & becomes uncomfortable. The shoe seems well built, but I wish there were more choices in a narrow shoe!

Nursing shoes for men -
The fit and feel of these New Balance shoes cannot be surpassed. Usually I get back pain with other walking shoes but not with these puppies. I love that fact that they are made in the U.S. The only complaint I have about these shoes is that they look like nursing shoes and are not manly looking. I have no problem with this as I rate comfort over looks.

Best Shoe - Over the past few years, I have tried several brands of men's shoes and spent hundreds of dollars looking for a good looking and comfortable shoe. The New Balance 811 Walking Shoe serves my feet and a variety of settings, the best.

This shoe is one of my more successful attempts at finding a comfortable, decent looking, sturdy, non-leather shoe. I use orthotics and the insole was easy to remove and replace with the orthotic. The shoe looks like it will wear well, unlike some others. I believe it will make a pretty good work shoe, although it is a little too hot. The down side of a non-breathing material I guess.

I like this shoe - My intent in buying this shoe was to help me to travel light. I want to be able to take only one pair of shoes when I travel. I would like a shoe that is comfortable and provides support for a lot of walking during the day and also look decent enough to wear to a nice dinner. This shoe does the job.

I have problems with my left foot due to back issues and this series of shoe is extremely comfortable and lightweight. If I wear a heavier shoe, my foot overcompensates and my limp is more pronounced.

NICE OVERALL SHOE- BUT WITH ISSUES -
I have worn these for 2 years. They are generally comfortable but, in hot weather, they aggravate ingrown toenails, on my big toes. I wish they came in size ‘E’ that may eliminate the problem. They retain a bad odor from frequent use, but cedar shoe trees removes 99% of it. I am looking for a replacement that will give me more room but I don't want a clunky-looking shoe like the NB901, which is very comfortable but doesn't look good in white when you want to look sporty in shorts or summer slacks.

I have really large feet, so it was a relief to find shoes that actually fit. I wear them everyday and my toes have plenty of room to stretch. Before I was embarrassed by my huge feet, now I embrace them and proudly wear these clunkers around.
