Getting used to it - I heard a lot of my nurse friends praising this shoe, so I decided to try it. The very first day I was able to wear it all day (13 hours) with no problems, and the next day. On the third day, I noticed my lower back was very tense, and by the forth day, I couldn't stand it. I took them off for over a week, and tried again, and within 2 hours, I had to take them off. After several days I tried again, and found them as comfortable as the first day. Another nurse friend of mine said she had trouble getting used to the "hardness" of the shoe and it hurt her back for a week or two, but after she got it broken in, she can’t get the same level of comfort from any other shoe. So I'm going to continue to try it. My back hurting may only have been coincidence, but when I'm not having trouble; my feet feel as good at end of the shift as at the beginning. So, I'm going to keep trying.

Reliable casual shoe - My last pair of Dansko clogs lasted 9 years before the heels literally fell off. These appear to be just as solid and dependable, if not entirely fashionable.

Dansko Sonja - Since this shoe was in Euro sizing, I ordered my regular size and one bigger. The bigger size was perfect and they look great, feel pretty good and I was able to work in them for 13 hours the second time I wore them.

Order a size UP, not DOWN - I have owned Dansko professional closed back clogs for 10 years, in size 39 (I'm 8.5-9, mostly 9). I ordered Sonja in 39--too small! I could only wear them without socks, and with socks, my heels were hanging off the back. Got my size 40 pair today and they are loose with bare feet, but mostly okay with socks. I think I'll have to put a pad over the instep b/c they're loose there, but overall I recommend sizing UP, not down. Love Zappos customer service!

ATTENTION: BUY A SIZE BIGGER OR YOU WILL NOT BE COMFORTABLE! I bought these in size 38 for my size 8 foot. I wore them once for 12 hours and they hurt my feet so bad it was unbearable. I have blisters all over my toes! Highly recommend getting a bigger size, which I did and will hopefully be more comfortable. Also, I am trying the Ingrid model with the back strap. We'll see if these are better, if not then make another return.

Cute but lacking comfort - I ordered this clog because of the outstanding reviews; however, I was not as pleased with the shoe as I had hoped to be. The insole is rather hard and I had to add my own softer insole to it so that it was more comfortable to walk in. The top of the clog also rubs against the top of my foot when I step, and is especially noticeable upon first putting on the clog. After the leather warms up a bit due to the warmth of your foot, it feels more comfortable. I still like the clog, but it's not the dream clog I was expecting.

New Shoes - This is the second pair of Dansko's I have owned...and I have loved both of them. My only problem with the red ones is that they bleed color from the inside and they lost their polished look quickly. Other than that...I love them...they are comfortable and as a nurse, where I am on my feet for 8 hours straight...I will never wear anything else.

The foot spa - When my feet are tired, I slip into my Dansko and I quickly feel as though I am just walking out of a spa. The tension goes away and my posture immediately changes. Overall, I gave a 4 because I find that the finishing touch lacks a bit of precision (the leather overlaps the sole in some areas).

Clogs need breaking in - These shoes are great once they're broken in, but that takes time. I had forgotten since my first pair is several years old and as comfy as can be. These feel stiff and tight in contrast and are the exact same size and model. Once broken in, they are durable and last for years.

I had to size up rather than down (I wear an 8.5 and at first ordered an 8 which were way too small. The 9 is good). These are my first pair of Danskos and I find the shoe is a little bit hard and stiff, but they are great and supportive for standing all day.

Scuffs easily! I love the look of my new butterscotch Dansko Sonja’s, and I think I'll be able to wear them with casual skirts, but the first day I wore them they got a big scuff mark on the toe-- from rubbing against CARPET. Why you gotta do me like that, Dansko? I lusted for these shoes for weeks and finally special-ordered this color from a local store when Zappos was out of them. I don't generally have a staff of servants who can carry me from place to place, so my shoes tend to touch the ground-- apparently dooming them to endless, very visible scuffing. Be warned!

Prefer the Cirque for Wide Feet. I've owned many pair of Dansko shoes and find them really comfortable - even though I think the staples take away from the overall appearance. I bought both the Sonja and the Cirque and ended up keeping the Cirque. It is more comfortable out of the box - and runs wider than the Sonja. I know the Sonja would stretch - but the comfort out of the box made a huge difference. Great shoes - but if you have a wide foot go with the Cirque. Thanks again Zappos for the great return policy and fast shipping! It's much better than going to the store - and it couldn't be easier! A customer for life!

I bought a size 42 even though I am an 11 (Zappos was recommending a 41 for size 11) and even the 42 is on the small side. They barely fit without socks, but if I wanted to wear any kind of sock with these clogs, my heel would be hanging off the back. I'll probably keep them anyway but just be warned that the recommended size is still too small!

My third pair - Dansko are always great. They take a little time to break in but once it conforms to your foot you don't want to wear anything else.

Pretty good - Very comfortable foot bed, nice arch support. My only problem is that my little toe rubs against the front and I developed a small blister.

A little disappointing - I'm not sure why, but these felt stiffer and less comfortable than other Dansko's I've had in the past. Still, a relatively comfortable and attractive shoe for a clog.

Completely different look - These open-backed clogs have a completely different shape and quality of leather than the traditional Dansko closed-back clogs I've been buying for over 10 years. The leather on the Sonja seems thinner and there is not as much padding over the arch as on the closed-back style. They are also sized differently - perhaps because they are made in Poland (the others are not).

I like my clogs a little tighter across the top of my foot than this Dansko Sonja has given me, but it is an incredible comfortable clog anyway. I'm a Bastad gal - for 25 years - so this is a surprising change to me. It might just be a case of getting used to the different fit.

Not the most stylish shoe but very comfortable- Thing is, they are a bit wide. Must wear with thick socks or they fly off of my feet!

Dansko Sonja- This is the third pair of Dansko Sonja that I bought (and the first of my orders with Zappos, with whom I've been extremely pleased since- Zappos is THE BEST). They are almost perfect, very comfortable and great looking. (The only more comfortable shoe that I know is the Dansko Matisse- unfortunately it's been discontinued.)

I'd do it again and will! I purchased these Dansko mules upon the recommendation of a trusted friend. Well, the friend is still a trusted one, considering she was right about the superior comfort following a few days of molding to my foot. I'm glad I went with the mules, however, instead of the similar full-shoe style because even with these my feet perspire somewhat and the shoes would surely be much worse. Anyway, I will be getting a black pair because my feet are feeling no pain these days!

People rave aobut these shoes being the most comfortable pair of shoes on the planet!!! I don't quite agree with that- they are just OK- maybe my expectations were too high!!!

Dansko's Sonja for Wide Feet - I love the look of the shoe in Brown Latigo. Beautiful leather. I was confused on whether to go up to 39, since I have problem feet and need 8.5 wide. Glad I did. Fit is fine, plenty wide. My only problem is they're a bit like walking in heels. I'm a bit wobbly in them. Sole seems stiff to me. Hoping to get used to them more, as I wear them. Think they may do better with socks, in fall/winter. My first pair of Dansko's.

Love MY Dansko's - I purchased these shoes for comfort. I am on my feet most of the day. My other shoes hurt my back. We got new floors at work and I felt like I was getting shin splints. Not anymore since I bought these clogs. They are not that attractive, but who cares when your feet hurt your whole body hurts. Kudos to Dansko for comfort.

Very comfortable & great with jeans - Great shoes to just slip on & run errands. They go great with jeans.
