This pair of boots is not waterproof at all and my feet freeze in them.

The shoes are comically large. They feel and look like clown shoes. I could not comfortably walk in these and I'd be embarrassed to wear them in public. The return process has been a pain thus far as well..

These boots are huge compared to most typical women’s boots- not in shoe size but the overall boot. They look enormous on my feet. Additionally, they are HEAVY. I can’t imagine moving very far in snowy conditions wearing these boots. It is also very hard to get them off without completely pulling out the insole with my foot.

I've had a pair of well-loved, tried-and-true Sorels for 10 years that I've finally had to replace, so I went ahead and ordered these boots. Unfortunately I was really disappointed in this fit. They have the weirdest sizing--simultaneously way too big and way too small. Upon opening the box I was amazed by how gigantic and clunky these were: they were a women's size 9.5 but looked like a men's size 12. However, when I went to try them on, I could barely fit my foot inside due to how tight the boot shaft was. I usually wear orthotics but there was no way I could fit my foot in along with them (I could barely fit it in without the orthotic!). I was really looking forward to these boots but they did not meet expectations.

It did not keep my husbands feet as warm as advertised. Even with and extra liner in the sole. Very disappointed.

I really wanted to love these boots. At first they were great for everyday use. I tried hiking through the snow with them and it didn't take much time for the rubber to rip and the boot to become soaked. I had to stop wearing them out of fear of getting hypothermia.

Nice to look at but I couldn’t get my foot in! Instep is very tight and stiff and the liner slides down as I was trying to pull on.

My first pair of Sorels lasted 20 years so of course I purchased another pair when it finally came time. The second pair lasted only 2 winter seasons! The rubber cracked on both boots (and not on the bridge of the foot or an obvious wear spot). Sorel would not warranty-stand behind their product.

I've had these boots for 4 years, very light use each year. They were never my main boot, only used in special circumstances during winter. Just a couple of times each year. In that time, the rubber has cracked where the toe bends. Sorel's solution to the problem is to just buy a new pair of boots..... I don't trust them anymore, way too many reviews of this same exact problem happening.

Ordered for the first time and my order arrived incorrect. the size I ordered was not what I received and the boots had a odor, almost like used boots. customer service responded timely. i won't be refunded my credit for shipping until my credit card is refunded as per your customer service email. which i might add is not making me happy. i have to do the work and then email them to be refunded. not my mistake this all happened. Winning would make me give your product another try, thank you

These do not keep your feet warm and seem to just keep the cold coming up right through the sole. I got these a few years ago and they never really kept my feet that warm, but I wanted to like them. Now that my daughter is older and we are playing in the snow a lot more my feet get so cold. I did get a hold of the company to ask about it and they said I should try thicker socks.

I gave these as a Christmas gift. These boots have split along the sides near the bottom and leak. I would like to return these for a refund and buy a different pair from Sorel.

I have a pair of Sorel boots I bought over 40 years ago. I don't use them as much now, but this week I have worn them 3 days in snow - still warm and waterproof. Thanks in advance e for your consideration. Tom

It has been exactly 1 year and both of my boots have cracked on the upper rubber that covers your toes. I bought these boots to take to Colorado when I go snow boarding. Now I have to buy a new pair of boots before I go in January. I live in texas so it's not like they get much use.

I also noticed this year one boot has cracks where the boot creases. The boots look brand new with moderate use but unfortunately one boot will leak now Poor quality rubber. Funny how the right boot is the only one that is cracked. I had a pair of different brand from 20 years ago they are still holding up after getting beat up. They have no tread left and that's all the wear someone could expect from a quality product.

After 4 seasons of light-to-moderate use the rubber developed cracks where the toe box creases on each boot. I can see other micro-cracks forming in other areas of the rubber. I expect much better quality from Sorrel. My similarly designed LLBean boots lasted for over 20 years without cracking. I chose the Sorrel's this time due to the heavier, better gripping soles, but it wasn't worth it.

disappointing quality! the rubber area on the TOP area of my toes simply cracked. Of course it's already out of warranty, but really should not happen after only 2 winters. the rest of the shoe is in great condition, so this really should not happen! this isn't even a seam or stitch - it is the top rubber that cracked open. I had other Sorels for so many years and was happy, too bad that quality for such a "rugged" shoe is oh so poor!

After about a year, worn about 18 times, the rubber section of the Caribou men's boots developed cracks in the area that bends when walking. The resultant hole is about 4" long. Several other reviews of your boots also cite this condition. (I received no incentive for this comment and am not interested in any sweepstakes or gift card.)

I originally bought these as the "classic" snow boots. My dad always had a pair growing up, so why should I stray from that path. Everyone knows dad is always right. The are stylish as all hell, but that's about where my likeability of these boots ends. They are so freakin heavy they are pretty much useless for anything besides sitting around. The only thing I use them for now is snowmobiling. I tried to wear these a 12 hour day shoveling and I was exhausted afterwords, not my arms or back from the snow, but just my legs from lugging these iron boots around. When I go work in the snow now, I just wear my regular work boots, I don't care if they get wet. My waterlogged Timberlands are half the weight of these things dry. Also, the giant hooks for the laces is a plain dumb design. They are impossible to get as tight as you need them, so unless you have a nice pair of super elastic socks, you can expect your socks to be bunched up around your ankle a half hour after walking around in these things. Would NEVER buy these again or recommend that anyone I know buy these.

I purchased these boots after much research online for a few days. They are suppose to be rated for -40 degrees. I went snowmobiling in 20 degrees in Ohio and my feet were the only thing on me frozen. I also just wore them around one day in and out of the car/house and my feet are cold! very disappointed.

The boot was way too big and the wool patting constantly pulled on my leg hairs as I walked. Walking 15 with them was painful.

After using for one season the sole was detached from the shoe. They were not heavily used - mostly for running errands around town. Poor investment..

These are HUGE. I wear a women's size 10 and own 5+ other pairs of Sorel boots/shoes in various styles, which all fit fairly true to size. I know these are meant to be a little roomy to fit warm socks, but even with 2 pairs of socks, my feet don't fill them out, and they are so heavy they are uncomfortable to walk in. I wore them once in a bad snowstorm shortly after purchase because I didn't have any other suitable shoes for the snow, and haven't worn them since (in more than a year) - but felt like I couldn't return them since they were worn. Super bummer, because I love the brand, but this purchase was a big waste of money. My roommate who wears a size 7 also bought them a size down and even hers are too clunky so she doesn't wear them either.

I was very disappointed that I was unable to use the pair of Caribou boots that I had ordered & received late last year. I saw that my left foot had been prevented to begin to squeeze into the left boot, I think because of that boot's tongue being stuck together so securely with glue (?) by nearly a length of two inches, to one side of that inner boot or its lining. I don't recall which one, at this time when I am writing these words, now.
