Love my new boots. The only thing I wish is if the little boot liner was sewn into the boot. Everytime I take them off those things come out of the boots on my feet. #firstworldproblems

these boots keep your feet warm in very cold temps and the traction is great non-slip the only problem i have with them is getting them on an off the liner is very tite from the ankle up so they are hard to get feet into then when you take them off it is a struggle and the liners come out of the boot everytime. other the that they are a great boot for extreame cold

I love these for the cold - they keep my feet super toasty. But I really wish I'd bought these a half size smaller. I ordered my typical size 8.5, and an 8 would have worked much better. They felt huge, which I decided was due to their width - the toe box is huge and roomy. They are also heavy, though, so the extra room means my feet are sliding around in them with every clomp, even when I wear thick socks. It's not a great walking experience, and I've come to admit I would have done better with a size 8.

I live in Minnesota and need boots that will do well in deep snow and cold temps. I often think about if I should get stuck and need to walk or be exposed to the weather for extended periods of time. The boots are really nice and meet my expectations.

I recently moved to Chicago, IL and survived the Polar Vortex which brought record breaking low temperatures to the area (below zero temps with -40 degree wind chill). I needed a boot that would keep my feet warm and dry. The Caribou Sorel will do just that and more. In fact, my feet were sweating when wearing them. Alternatively, if you are looking for a fashionable book with a feminine flare - don't by the Caribou. It is very clunky and will make your foot appear larger. Again, if your solely looking for a boot that will keep your feet warm and dry - the Caribou is for you!

Love the boots! The only issue I have (and it's small) is that the liner inside the boot is a little snug when I put them on. So that is why I gave 4 stars instead of 5. Once I get the boot on though they are warm and comfortable and exactly what I wanted!

I took a chance on ordering these. After reading the reviews I was planning on ordering a size down (I am normally a 6, I would have ordered a 5). However, there were no 5s available, so I went with the 6. Sad to say they were FAR too large. Please believe the reviews. You will have to return them if you order your normal size. Wasted about $30 in shipping, killer. Other than that, great boot. Pretty heavy-- but aren't winter boots supposed to be?

Very warm but VERY heavy. I tend to drag the heal as I walk after wearing them a while. Worked great and kept my feet warm in 10F degree weather for 4+ hours. Only one in family who didn't need foot warmers in my boots!

Excellent boot. Unfortunately it was rubbing my ankle. I am a 7.5 , but got a 8 and it was fine accept it didn't fit right.

I think the quality is excellent and I will definitely be wearing these in the snow, as they are completely waterproof. However, I will not be wearing them for fashion if it's just cold outside, which is unfortunate because they are cute and I thought I'd be able to. The reason being, they are just really clunky and huge on my feet. They seem to fit ,y foot ok, it's just the outer parts and soles are just huge and I feel like a caveman wearing them. I ordered women's size 10 but the actual boot said some other size so maybe it's European or men's sizing?

Love the boots - super warm. I'm not a fan of a pull out insert - I just find it annoying especially when I'm in a rush to get them off. They're also a bit chunky/wide in front and I prefer something a little smaller.

I ordered these boots in a size 8, which is my normal shoe size. Counting up the total of the other reviews, true to size vs too large, the true to size won. Unfortunately, I had to return them because they do run large. When standing in them with a snowboard sock on with my heel to the back of the boot I still had a thumb and half inch distance to the end of the boot. I laced them up as tight as I could and walked around my house and already I could tell they would rub wrong on my feet because my foot was moving around (up and down and back and forth) with every step. I tried it with two snowboard socks and they fit a little better with less movement, but it would be rare that I would wear them with two pairs of socks.
I called and talked to customer service and the guy recommended that I return them and get a half size smaller.
As for the quality, I have not tried them in any situation yet that I could rate the true test of the boot, but from what I saw they looked really well made and felt very warm.

OK...These boots would be great for heavy duty outside work, but for wearing as after-ski and snow related activities; not so much. They were extremely heavy, bulky and awkward to walk in. I mainly tried to wear them with ski gear before and after runs and found them heavy to wear/carry and they would barely fit in a ski locker. I also tried to wear them out and about for snow related activities and simply hanging out in cold/snow areas and also shopping in the resort areas at bottom of mountain. They felt masculine in nature and had more of a work boot look to me. I would recommend if you need a working boot as they were definitely warm, but other than that, I'm going to look for a more lightweight and feminine sorrel boot for next trip. Maybe the Joan of Arc.

I bought these boots for my son and he said they are very warm and waterproof. His only complaint is that they feel a bit "heavy" and he certainly makes a lot of noise when he clomps around in them! Overall a very practical boot and good-looking, too.

I wear a size 8 shoe and ordered the boot in size 8.5. I tried them on and could barely get my foot into the liner or boot. The size on the tongue said 8.5 but on the bottom of the inside boot said 6.5. So not sure if it was just tagged wrong or the boots run extremely small. Otherwise they looked great and would of worked well for me.

The quality of this boot is excellent, clearly meant to be worn in the worst snow conditions, and I definitely recommend them for that purpose. However, as a woman, I felt that the toe region was TOO wide! They look like men's shoes which I was not expecting. I am keeping them because of the quality, however, I wish that the toe was just a bit narrower to look more feminine. I am only commenting this because I wished I had read it somewhere before buying the shoe so that I was not shocked when I received it.

These boots are amazing. They are so warm and cozy feeling and hold up well when trekking through the city in a major snow storm. Very comfortable. I love the look of the boot and feel stylish while wearing them. The only reason I didn't give five stars is that the sole of the boot is very heavy. I like this and it gives some good traction in the snow, but it is a bit of a workout to walk in these.

The shell is a bit snug but the boots fit just fine. I'm a 9 but a 9 1/2 would be too big. The first time I put them on I had to take the shell out and put on then first, then slide into the boot, but every time after I have been able to slide into the boots with the shell in. Love these boots! Took up to the mountain and my feet stayed dry and warm all weekend.

Love these. Ordered a half size big anyway because I wanted them to be really really warm, which means extra space to move my toes and air to trap inside there...but they are kind-of amazing huge. I am keeping them anyway. I just clomp around in the snow in them and it's great! But I ordered a women's 7.5 and they are as big on the sole as a men's 10. Weird!!!! Somehow the inside doesn't feel THAT big, though. The inside actually feels like it's just about a full size big for me...

Seems to run large - I usually wear 7.5, but ended up being happy with a 6.5 Caribou boot.
I'm very pleased with my purchase - the boot has excellent grip on ice and so far is waterproof and toasty warm.

I got these for my husband using your foot measuring guide, which woukd be correct, except that he has a very high arch and could not get them on. If he took the liner out, he could get the boot on and the length was right. He could not even get the liner alone on his foot. We will have to return these and see if a larger size works. Hope so, because he loved them.

These boots are warm. So warm that you can wear them on the moon and only be slightly cold. Like, barely even notice cold. I've done it and only had a slight chill. That's obviously very warm. They keep snow out and the rubber repels water which is the coolest thing about rubber. Plenty of traction with the sole. I didn't slip on the ice, not even once.

Overall, I like the boots. They are very toasty and I love the colors. The only thing keeping me from totally loving them is that they are a little too roomy, feeling more like a 7.5 than a 7. This makes an already bulky boot feel exceptionally bulky.

I bought these boots online after trying several pairs of Sorel and non-Sorel boots at a local EMS. The Sorel's were the last pair I tried, but the EMS didn't stock Sorel in half sizes (I needed a 10.5).
The boot runs true to size and accommodates my _very_ wide foot. They're a little heavy, but they keep your feet very warm and dry. They also have good grip on the snow and ice. A double knot is a must when wearing them. But overall, they appear to be a good quality boot. I am pleased with the purchase.
