Keeps feet warm and dry. Good grip on the bottom. Only thing keeping these from being perfect is that they are SO stiff. They seem so clunky as I walk. But overall worth the purchase.

I ordered this online on Friday and it was shipped to me the next Wednesday! Fast delivery comparatively! And the boots are best for the cold wet weather in Ithaca! I used to slip on ice for several times and it pushed me to buy a pair of sturdy boots like this, and wearing Sorel I don't need to slip and fall for even once any more!! That is important!!! The size runs large--I usually wear 7, after reading the review I ordered a 6, and after wearing them around for a couple of days they fit perfect now(wearing light socks). Yet inside the boots it is not so airy--so I have to loosen the shoelaces a bit to prevent my feet from sweating and soaking my socks...And the inner layer is not of that high quality as the fur comes off a bit sometimes...Overall if you live in cold hilly areas this is the must-have for winter plus they look cute!

So glad these arrived when the did. We are getting hit with more snow and cold in Northeastern Ohio and my UGGS weren't cutting it. I needed these Caribous because they are waterproof. I was nervous about ordering because so few options were available (everyone is getting on the Sorel train!) Following the advice from other reviews, I ordered a full size smaller. I wear 7.5-8, but ordered a 7. They were perfect. They fit with a little wiggle room...and I can wear heavy socks with them, too. Be warned, they are clunky...but I don't mind because they are keeping my feet warm and dry. I have gotten many compliments on them already. I particularly like the idea that I can buy replacement liners if/when needed.

I am 5'1 and wear size 5 shoes. Plus my legs are on the short side. However these were slightly big. Plus because I'm short I felt that if my legs were a taddddd bit longer it would have been ok but they seemed too big overall for my petite frame. So I returned them and got the kids caribou in size 3 which fit way better. I'll be writing a review about that. I'm giving this 4 stars cause it is a really nice boot and it's not the boot's fault that i'm a shortie.

Boot length is good, but they are very wide. Have a pair I bought in 1985, and they are much narrower. Boot is bulky, would be hard to wear all day long. They are warm and keep your feet dry. The boot tread has great traction. Overall a good boot, especially if you have wide feet. I'm sure these will last me the rest of my life, since the first ones I bought lasted 30 years!!

If you are looking for warmth, this is the boot to buy! However, they are a little clunky but then again it's super warm so it's a price to pay! They do run large, I'm normally a 7 and bought a 6 and they fit perfectly. Overall, good boot!

These are very well constructed, the quality shows very well. I've worn them in the very cold Chicago winters and they hold up quite well, not to mention they're a popular item and they look nice. They can be a bit clunky but function over fashion when it's -20. I normally wear a 7.5 and I ordered a 7. It ran huge and I returned it for a 6.5. Unfortunately I bought them well before winter and only tried them on once failing to realize they were still big. It just recently snowed and I've worn them twice. They're way too big but now I have to suck it up because it's far too late to exchange/return. They're definitely worth the money just make sure to order a size [or two] down.

I usually wear a 10.5 US shoe, but with these boots, the 10 was even too big. I had to go with the 8 for a snug fit. Now with the proper size, I must say these boots feel great!

I purchased this boot after spending months researching a good waterproof, warm boot option. Last winter, my feet were always cold. Today is the first day I wore my boots and I must say that they are extremely warm. Your feet will be dry and warm for sure. The boot does run big. I wear a size 9, but ordered a size 8 which is a perfect fit. Also, these boots are VERY BULKY. I was shocked when they came in the mail. Initially, I thought they were men's boots or for lumberjacks. I mean, they are huge and heavy. If all you care about is keeping your feet warm and day then these are the shoes for you.

I live in Minnesota and waited until we had sub-zero temperatures to assess my new boots. We have been to -10 now, with -25 wind chill. I find the boots comfortable, but I do feel the cold a little bit through the soles, so I wonder if they would be adequate for the advertised -40. The metal rings for lacing are quicker and easier than the holes on my previous Sorels. I am hoping for the 25 years of service I got from my last pair!

Great boot. Could get your through an arctic apocalypse. The only downside is that they're pretty bulky. I wasn't expecting them to be so heavy and thick, but I've gotten a ton of compliments on them and my get have stayed nice and cozy.

Everything about this boot is great- perfect for MN winters. Only complaint is that the liner comes out every time he takes them off. Going it will get better with time.

I don't normally write reviews but I couldn't resist. First off, this is not a dainty boot, which isn't what I wanted, so if you are going for cute maybe pick something else. Construction of the boot is so solid. They are little snug in the toe at first but that is just the padding inside, I am positive they will loosen up. There is double and triple stitching so I know hey will hold up to the Michigan snow! The sole is nice and thick. I technically wear an 8 1/2 wide so the 9 gives me plenty of room width wise and allows me room for the inserts that I like to use. My only constructive criticism is that the lace up ends about two inches from the tip of the tongue of the boot, as they break in I know the tongue will flop down or out because of this. They are everything I hoped hey would be though! Also, I got regular shipping and they were here in two days, so thanks for that!!

This boot replaces a pair I have had for over 40 years. They are very warm and keep the feet dry. There is no slipping and sliding with the tread. My only problem is I have a wide foot. I normally wear a size 10 but had to go to 12 just to get my foot in and it is still quite snug. I suspect this will cause the liner to wear out prematurely. Nonetheless, you can not beat Sorel for warmth.

These are great looking, practical, study, cold weather boots. The toe box is big enough that toes will not be cramped and get cold. The 9mm felt liner will provide excellent warmth. I ordered the shale/stone color and thought they looked even better than the picture. I returned them with a heavy heart. I'm very picky about boots and there was just one shortcoming I could not live with. Only 4 sets of lacing buckles made it impossible to lace them really snug across the instep. So, I am replacing them with Premium 1964 boots with leather uppers. I had a pair for 30 years and they served me well, although I could have used the added warmth of the Caribou.

I love the look of this boot. However, when I printed the sizing chart to figure out my size, it said I should order a size 10. I'm usually a size 8. I used my best judgement and ordered a size 8. To my surprise, the size 8 was too large. A 1/2 size smaller than my normal size is still super roomy. These boots have a lot of width room and are over-sized. I suppose it so you can wear layers of socks. However, the boots are super warm and don't require layers and layers of socks. One nice pair will do.

Overall the quality looks great but I ordered my origanal size of 10.5 and they are a little big, so thanks to the 60 day return policy, I will return them and get a size 10.

I used these boots during this past winter, which was super-snowy and cold. They're fantastic! They kept my feet warm & dry, & they fit great (I bought my regular size), and I had no chafing at all. My only complaint is that the liners come completely out with my foot whenever I take them off - unless I'm not wearing socks. This became REALLY irritating since I was wearing them almost daily for a while. The entire lining comes out, and isn't that easy to get back in. Other than that, I'm really happy with these.

I bought these boots so I could enjoy walking in cold, snowy and cold wet conditions. I have taken 2 and 3 hour walks in the park on untreated trails on 15F degree days and my feet stay warm and toasty... and I hear and feel the crunch of snow with each step. The heavy treads are good for stability. My feet are narrow, usually take N size, but I padded up the arch with an extra insole so they are reasonably comfortable. Walking on bare pavement is cumbersome, akin to driving with snow tires on bare highways! I have other warm boots to wear when it is cold but dry. But I'm glad I have these so I can enjoy the cold outside this winter after a good snow storm of which we have had several.

I ordered these boots in order to survive the Polar Vortex that just won't leave Chicago. Having to walk to and from the train and to and from work with my old boots just wasn't cutting it anymore, so after a ton of research I finally decided that this brand was the best. I ordered this specific boot because I liked the neutral colors and the height of the boot. When I received the boot I was surprised to see how big and clunky these were. If you are looking for boots that make your feet look small these aren't for you. I wear a size 9 normally, so that is what I ordered. The inner boot fits perfectly. The outer boot is huge, but my foot doesn't slide around or anything; I just feel like I am wearing steel toe boots. You definitely get a good leg workout in if you are walking long distances in these things. The first 3-4 times I wore these boots I found that the stiff suede material really hurt my ankles and they were pretty uncomfortable. I started to bend the boots back and forth to loosen them up a bit when I didn't have them on and after about a week they feel wonderful. They keep my feet nice and toasty and the best part is that they are completely waterproof. Even the suede material. My only complaint is that unless I am wearing knee socks, my socks always end up around my toes when I have these on. All in all, I am VERY happy with my purchase and definitely recommend if you aren't bothered by how clunky these boots are.

this boot has good traction and warmth. had to cut the liner due to difficulty getting boot off as my instep made it difficult to get out of the inner liner, if the band was perhaps elastic might not have needed to do this. but with the cut can easily get the boot both on and off.

I had seen coworkers with the boot and decided to give them a try. While I've only worn them twice. Once during a snow storm, they kept my feet nice and warm. We're expecting more snow this weekend so I'll be able to give them a more thorough workout.

Liners need to be split down the front of liner so you can get the boots on and off.

Overall I'm very pleased with these boots. Although you can only wear one pair of socks and that can be a little tight to get your feet into the boots.
