could not get my foot inside the boot and I do not have wide or big feet. I am between an 8 and 8.5 and reviews said to go with 8... not on this boot! I need to size up

These are pretty clunky and hard to. I’ve around in, but they keep your feet super warm. I had to size up to an 8.5. I usually wear an 8 in boots.

Fine product, size just ran a bit small.

Based on reviews stating they ran very large, I ordered my true size (7.5M) and a half-size smaller (7M). I have fairly narrow feet, and did not find these boots ran large at all. The 7.5 fit better, with a bit of room for thicker socks. The 7 would not have worked. They are big boots but I don’t find them overwhelmingly bulky. The lining is removable, which presumably will be convenient if they get wet inside. I’m looking forward to wearing them on an upcoming family ski trip.

Great boots for the snow, kept my feet warm and dry. When the snow became icey,felt like it gave me some traction. Very stiff boot, though. But, didn’t expect anything more considering the style.

These boots run HUGE! I am a size 10 and got these in a 9.5 and those were huge still. I ended up returning them and buying the size 9 which was better, but I probably could have gone down to an 8.5. They are big, boxy and clunky BUT so comfortable and warm. I tromped around town all weekend in the cold and snow and think these boots are great. Definitely recommend for cold weather and snow when you are outside. I got a less clunky pair of winter boots for more practical use.

Boot was sized like a man’s. Wasn’t necessarily too long (ordered 8.5 as all my Sorels are,) but the width was crazy wide. And the outside was very bulky On top of foot bed and sides. I ordered the other women’s sorels with the faux fur top (rated -20 rather than -40 like caribou.) also 8.5. Length was about the same but width was better and overall shape much more proportional. Really wish Sorel would modify caribou’s cut ever so slightly to accomdate for differences in men’s and women’s foot beds. The fringe boots are warm and waterproof, but I don’t need extra faux fur decor on my boots to let people know I’m a woman. I just wanted some super warm, easy on and off, utilitarian winter boots for chores around my cabin and shoveling snow.

I'm glad I read the reviews! The boots ran big so I ordered a half size smaller. That worked perfectly!! I don't think they will be warm enough for -40°. I live in Minnesota and today it was 15° they were warm enough. They definitely are clunky. The traction was really nice as well as the waterproofing!!

These are hard to get your foot into.

Bought several sizes for me and my teen girls. Stick with your normal size. FYI - the 8.5 and 9 are EXACTLY the same size (both boot & insert). Compared in two different colors. Fortunately, that was the size we needed, so worked out great. We usually wear 8.5, so 8.5 and 9 both worked great. Some people said to go down a size, but I could feel my toe at the end of the 8 and it was way too tight over the top of my foot and in width. So warm & comfy. Really well made. All 3 of us love them. Made it just in time for the snow!

Great boots, great traction, warm and water proof, but they are heavy.

I ordered a different style of Sorrels in a size 9 that I couldn’t even get my foot into, so I tried this style in a 9.5. They are very big on my feet - to the point of being clunky. However, they are incredibly warm and that, for me, is paramount. As long as they keep my feet warm, I can overlook the clunkiness. With all of that being said, you may want to order a half size smaller.

Totally loved this style however...being 4’11” these were incredibly overpowering! I sized down half a size and when I put them on even my kids laughed at me. It looked like I was wearing my husband’s boots. Very wide and very heavy. However...they were soooo warm I didn’t want to take them off. I bought another pair and am hoping those will work! I would go down at least an entire size...not half a size!

Loved the style, but not the weight. Too heavy to walk around in regularly. So sad I had to return them.

I looked at all the reviews which said these boots run way large. I normally wear a 7 or 7.5 but would buy my boots in an 8. I decided to go with the 7. I’m so glad I didn’t go any smaller! They fit, but I can feel my toes bumping up at the end. No need to size up in these boots, but certainly don’t buy smaller than your regular size.

After the first season of these boots they started loosening up and now have come about 1/2 size to big. Not so much that I can’t wear them, just enough to make me wish they were smaller. If I ever (which I don’t think I’ll need to) I’ll buy them a whole size smaller.
