These boots are humongous. I thought there had been a mistake and I was sent mens boots, because theyre are womens 8.5 yet almost the same size as my husbands size 9 military issue boots. The inside says womens 8.5 and so does the box. Returns are not free even though they are not using any sort of reasonable sizing. What kind of socks do you think people are going to wear that will make these fit?!

This is the second pair of Sorel Caribou Boots I have purchased. The first one was in 1983. They lasted over 40 years! They moved with me from Montana to Colorado, to South Africa, to Wisconsin, to Texas and back to Colorado. Talk about quality, endurance, warmth, comfort and performance. I'll never have to buy another pair... if these last 40 years ... unless I live to be 100. Excellent product! Well done Sorel.

I love the quality, warmth and functionality of this boot. I appreciate the room in the toe box for when you wear thicker socks.

I am a huge fan of Sorel and love all of my different Sorel boots but was very disappointed in my first pair of the Caribou Boot. I couldn't get my foot inside the boot without bunching up the liner inside (I ordered my true size, a size 10). Once I finally got my foot in, I pulled it out and the liner came out too! I checked the other boot and the liner was also not attached or sewn into the boot in any way. Very disappointed in the quality of this particular boot. I am also annoyed that I had to pay $12 for shipping for a $200 pair of boots. Most merchants offer free shipping for that price point. And now I have to pay another $6 to send them back? Ridiculous.

As an old guy, theyre a little heavy. But theyre still perfect for my needs.

Best winter boots made. Second pair I have purchased. First one for my wife and this one for a close friend of the family.

Stunned with the quality of these boots. I have only ever gotten sorel shoes living in the Midwest and these feel cheap, sound cheap and are quite uncomfortable. The way the shoe is designed dogs into my Achilles and make it really tough to walk longer distances.

They fit well, but are a bit heavier and bulkier than I expected. I went down a half size after reading the comments, and they fit well.

These boots are both comfortable and warm. I wear a size 11, so I was worried that I would look like Frankenstein, but theyre actually kind of cute and I get a lot of compliments on the color. They work well with my snow shoes too! I highly recommend them.

It's a heavy boot, but easy to get on and off. The website suggested to order a 1/2 size smaller, so I did. The fit is wide at the toes, but OK. It's stiff material, I'm hoping it becomes more flexible as I walk in them. I'm in Idaho and have had extreme cold, these boots have kept my feet warm.

Way too bulky. Didnt like how they looked on my feet.

Seems like a warm, good looking,quality boot. However, they feel heavy to walk in and the sizing is off. I ended up returning them and decided not to risk reordering a size up. I normally wear a 7.5 and after chatting with someone at Sorel, I ordered my regular size. They were definitely wide enough, but my toes had no room length wise.

I bought the Caribou in gray about 9 years ago and only have worn them maybe 10 times. I live in Minnesota, so I thought these would be great to wear during the winter. The reason I dont use them as often as I would love to, is because they are too dang difficult to get on and off my feet. The felt liner is snug, yes I understand that, but the problem is the actual boot itself. The opening is too small and the material is too stiff. It almost feels as if I might break my ankles trying to get the boots onto my feet. Once I do, they are heavy and clunky, which is great for slushy ice walks. But if you plan to be driving or doing a lot of walking, maybe try something else. I really wished these would have worked out in my favor, but Ill be searching for something more easy to wear.

The quality for the price is excellent. To top that off, theyre comfortable, warm, have great grip, keep your feet dry and theyre super cute!

I've had a pair of these for 24 yrs. I conditioned the leather annually and washed the liner. Replaced the liner a few times. Repaired a few eyelets. They have received heavy use for atleast 5 yrs of that doing outdoor wilderness jobs. Spent a few winters in AK. The tread is worn down or else I wouldnt be looking for another pair. Way worth every penny. That being said conditioning the leather has been key to their survival.

I just bought theses boots for a trip in Duluth to keep my feet warm. So uncomfortable and heavy and gave me sores on the back of my ankles z I dont recommend this boot at all. Very disappointed in my first and probably last pair of boots I buy from this company unless its made right.

Boots were much too narrow and despite a long call with a customer service rep I was not able to figure out which size to order. Returning the boots was difficult. I will not be ordering a new pair but have just ordered a different brand. This is sad considering that these were to replace a pair of sorel so have had for 40 years.
