I bought these boots for winter travel to Alaska. Used them last week in Fairbanks and my feet were warm and toasty when I wore them. Too early to report on durability, but the boots look like a quaility product and did well for my first week of wear. At first, they seemed snug with the liner but you'll quickly adapt as the liner forms to your feet. I chose the olive green color and they're sharp.

Had to cut the closer for the liner. It did not expand enough to be able to get them on and off easily

While these boots are true to size in length, they are very wide in the toe. I actually thought I got mens boots by mistake, but they are marked womens, and the size is correct. They are a huge, bulky pair of boots, and are clumsy and heavy to walk in.

I normally wear 8.5 or 9, and I've ordered 8. And it's still kind of big, but I'm just going to wear it with thick socks. If you have narrow & skinny feet, go for a size down. It does make my feet ginormous, but they keep my feet warm. Very heavy to walk in though.

This boot is very cute and I was very excited until I got to try it on. The insert is very narrow and tight (hard to get my foot into), however the boot by itself was way to big. Sorry I had to return because it is a nice looking boot.

I find these are both too small and too large at the same time. I normally wear a 6.5. At the suggestion of other reviews I ordered a 6 because it sounds like these boots run large. The shell of the boot is still a bit too large for me, however, the insert (insulation) is so small I can barely get my foot in and out of the boot! I have to sit down and struggle for ~5 min! I want to love these boots. They feel very nice on, but I'm not sure they are worth the $140 if I can't get them on and off easily! I would love to know how they change with use - will then end up fitting perfectly if I "break them in"!?

I've been wanting a pair of Sorel Boots for a while and am SO glad I picked them up this winter. Just came back from a cruise to 3.5 feet of fresh snow on my driveway. Ran inside, grabbed my boots, and cleared the whole drive while the temperature was in the negatives. My nose froze but my toes were toasty!

The Caribou by Sorel are some really good boots. I live in Pennsylvania were the winters can be pretty bad and it kept my very warm. Not only it keeps your feet warm but it looks stylish as well. I would highly recommend these boots if your thinking about getting them.

These things are MASSIVE! I already have a small frame and narrow foot but these things were huge. I ordered a size 6 which is a half size bigger than my street shoe and I should have gone up a whole size if it were available.

I'm so bummed, these boots are too small. I read every review I could on several sights, and I guess it just depends on the foot and the person. I usually wear an 8.5, so ordered an 8 based on several reviews. I'll bet returning them for a 9.

This is my 2nd pair of Sorels. I made do with a small pair of men's Sorels for years, and finally decided I deserved a pair of women's that fit me better than the men's, which were a little too large, & a little too wide. My Caribous arrived during a record-breaking cold snap, when the daily high temperatures reached 31 degrees if we were lucky. The fit is great, the quality is second-to-none, and my toes are finally toasty again. Now I can take the dogs for a walk no matter what the thermometer says! Sorel quality can't be beat.

These are warm and weather proof but SO HEAVY! Walking in them is a serious workout! If you want a heavy duty snow boot, this is it; if you want a boot you can wear around town, not so much.

I ordered the black caribou boot with white sorel logo, but i got the boot with black sorel logo. I cannot even find the product that with the black sorel logo... what is this boot name? Also, the quality of the boot is so bad... it look like not a brand new products... so dirty.

I am so happy with my Sorel boots. I live in park City Utah where it's been consistently below zero and they have not failed me one bit. I highly recommend them.

Even though I don't need a boot that can withstand the levels of cold that this boot can, I bought it for wearing on walks with my dogs. A lot of people don't shovel their sidewalks, so it gets quite icy. I have tried several other boots but this is the only one that I feel confident in. As noted in other reviews, the felt lining is very tight and difficult to get on and off at first. I wear just a very light sock and I found after several wearings, the boot becomes much easier to get on and off. I bought a 1/2 size smaller than usual and it seems to be the right decision, although I think once the felt becomes compressed, the boot is starting to feel larger in the ankles, so we'll see. I tried using the "fit guide" tool on the website - but it was way off!

Great boots! I wore them snowmobiling and my feet never got cold. They are true to size and a little on the narrow side but comfortable.

LINER IS TOO TIGHT VERY VERY HARD TO PUT THE BOOTS ON. I'M GOING TO CUT THE FRONT OF THE LINER TO MAKE IT EASIER TO PUT ON.

I think these boots would be great if you needed a serious snow boot that was worn all winter long. I need just a basic snow boot that keeps my feet warm while shoveling and playing outside with my kid so this boot was not for me. Pros: Very Warm Cute style for a heavy duty snow boot Great color (I ordered the tusk) Good height on leg Removable insert Cons: Very thick sole Clunky Stiff sole Heavy Again if you need a really warm snow boot that you wear all winter long this would be my choice.

if you are looking for a serious snow boot, then you have come to the right place. these boots are even more substansial than i was expecting. i was originally looking for a saturday-running-errands kind of boot that would also be a good snow boot. i will not be wearing these to run around town on saturdays, but i will be using these to shovel lots of snow. the boots are quite heavy and bulky. also very warm with the liner in there. i bought a 9 which i normally wear and they fit just fine. looking forward to owning these for years, the quality is unmatched by other boots on the market.

It was hard to get on and off the very first time I put them on. At first I thought that the boot may be to small because my foot fit the whole boot; there was not much room left over for my foot. But I walked around in them for a while in the house and didn't feel any rubbing against my feet. So I wore them to work the next day and they felt great. I am glad that I got my size boot instead of a size smaller or bigger.

After just over a year, the rubber cracked in similar locations on both boots (just above the large and little toe areas). These cracks have turned into holes, rendering the boots useless for winter wear. In short, you are paying quite a bit of money for poor materials and barely a season's worth of use.

I bought these against my dad's wishes in 1988; I was still in high school and it was a big family drama even though it was money I'd earned at my job. It's 2013 and they are still going strong. They don't get daily use as I've lived in climates that don't get a lot of snow but I've done nothing to take care of them other than cedar balls to prevent moths. To this day, every time I wear these boots in the snow I call my dad and tell him how warm and toasty I was in my "too expensive to be sensible" boots. I'd say I've gotten my money's worth of wear out of these.

I have bought two pairs of the Caribou and they both formed cracks in the rubber. They are great boots for about 2 months and then there are issues. The first pair I bought was in 2011, they almost made it to the end of the season before cracking (and letting in snow/water). The second pair was bought in 2012. They were cracking by the end of the season however due to the weather there was no snow and I barley wore them. This season I thinking of buying a 3rd pair from a dealer that will replace them when cracked. If they allow it I will just continue to replace them (for free) until the issue is fixed. The only reason I'm thinking of buing a 3rd pair is becuase they are very good looking boots and when new do exactly what I need/want them to do.

These were a gift for a person with very large feet. He loves them and hasn't had boots fit this well in a very long time.
