I bought the Caribou in gray about 9 years ago and only have worn them maybe 10 times. I live in Minnesota, so I thought these would be great to wear during the winter. The reason I dont use them as often as I would love to, is because they are too dang difficult to get on and off my feet. The felt liner is snug, yes I understand that, but the problem is the actual boot itself. The opening is too small and the material is too stiff. It almost feels as if I might break my ankles trying to get the boots onto my feet. Once I do, they are heavy and clunky, which is great for slushy ice walks. But if you plan to be driving or doing a lot of walking, maybe try something else. I really wished these would have worked out in my favor, but Ill be searching for something more easy to wear.

The shoe is cozy and exactly as advertised. They looked huge, but fit nicely-true to size. They are surprisingly heavy and could use a little more cushion in the sole, but they will be a great shoe to have this winter.

I've had a pair of these for 24 yrs. I conditioned the leather annually and washed the liner. Replaced the liner a few times. Repaired a few eyelets. They have received heavy use for atleast 5 yrs of that doing outdoor wilderness jobs. Spent a few winters in AK. The tread is worn down or else I wouldnt be looking for another pair. Way worth every penny. That being said conditioning the leather has been key to their survival.

I just bought theses boots for a trip in Duluth to keep my feet warm. So uncomfortable and heavy and gave me sores on the back of my ankles z I dont recommend this boot at all. Very disappointed in my first and probably last pair of boots I buy from this company unless its made right.

Boots were much too narrow and despite a long call with a customer service rep I was not able to figure out which size to order. Returning the boots was difficult. I will not be ordering a new pair but have just ordered a different brand. This is sad considering that these were to replace a pair of sorel so have had for 40 years.

Great boots. Sizing guidance says they are true to size. Mine were snug at first but perhaps the liners compressed or something after a few wears. Now I float around in them. Disappointing. I recommend buying a size or half size down.

I previously owned these boots about 30 years ago and finally got a new pair. These new ones are a bit heavier than I expected but other than that they are perfect.

I bought these boots to replace my old Sorel's (they were over 40 years old). I actually only needed new liners in the old ones, but was not able to find them in my size.

I actually love these boots, although when I opened the box I wasn't so sure I would. I wasn't expecting them to be quite as big and bulky as they are - especially in the toe area (although they don't feel big. It's more on the outside they look huge). BUT, they are SO warm and keep my feet super dry and really that's why I bought them. Great quality. Seriously can't beat them for the price. The generic ratings won't let me change - this boot is better than average.

I wanted to love these; I definitely think they would be truly warm, which is what I most care about. They are heavy and a little wide, but I would have absolutely kept them, except on one boot, the seam where the rubber meets the upper is so thick it dug into my foot at the back of my ankle. Didn't matter if I loosened up the laces, even through the thick felt liner I could feel it was going to rub my ankle raw. Deal-breaker, and they went back. Not sure if I should just try another pair, or if that's standard...

I'be had these for a couple of winters. Very warm and comfy. I'm a size 8 but went to an 8.5 as I usually do in Sorel boots so I could wear a thicker sock. The width is a little wider than normal. They are a heavy boot but that was expected.

After 25 years, my Columbia Bugaboots were beyond repair, but they weren't available in my size. So I branched out, tried several boots from Zappos, and landed on these. They're a *tad* bulkier than I'd normally want but overall still feel great, sturdy, and not too heavy. True to size but if I HAD to go up or down a half size, I could probably do the 8.5. The other night, I wore these outside at a socially-distanced fire pit event in the snow in Massachusetts. The temperature was 10 degrees with a wind chill of one (1) degree. My feet were toasty warm the whole time with just one pair of medium-thick socks. I love the lace-up feature and that there's not too much bulk at the top.

Shoveling snow in CO these are great to keep your feet warm and dry. They have been great. They seem to run a little large, mainly long. But thick socks, although not needed do the trick. Love my Sorels.

This boot is wonderfully warm for extended periods outside in very cold weather. When the boots arrived I was not able to completely advance my foot into the boot past the forward area where the laces begin. Since the boot width seemed adequate from the outside, my husband used his fist to stretch that area from inside the boot, just enough to allow my foot to pass. I expect that area will stretch over time but for now I wear a very thin sock in order to slip my foot past that area of the boot.

Still breaking them in, but the height of the boot hits the calf in an uncomfortable spot. I'm hoping that tying them loose and more wear and tear will soften them up so they won't be so tight. Love the durability of this brand, and the look is great too. They are so warm, I've been wearing them around the house as house shoes too. Overall, really Love them :)

I am from Michigan and snow is expected. After going through a few different pairs of boots, I made the investment to buy these boots. They are a great boot for all kinds of cold weather and snow conditions. The only complaint that I have is they are a little heavy when you are walking for a long time but I assume that's because they are great quality. You won't be disappointed with this purchase!

These boots are perfect if you want something to keep your feet warm. I live in South Dakota, I hunt during the winter and my feet stay warm then entire time! They run about a half size big I think. Again, if you want something to keep your feet warm in the winter, these boots will be those go to boots for you.

I absolutely love these boots. I live in the upper Midwest so we get a lot of snow and cold. These boots keep my feet warm and dry while shoveling and while snowmobiling. I ordered my true shoe size because of other reviews but would probably order a half size up next time so I could wear a little thicker sock. They look awesome too.

I liked the look of this boot, but I couldn't find the right size. I've never owned Sorels before, so I didn't have anything to compare it to. I'm usually a 8-8.5. The 8.5 was enormous--it felt like I could go a full size smaller. The 7.5 was okay lengthwise, but too tight across the top of the foot. The 8 was okay, except too long and still a little tight across the top. I ended up returning all the Caribous and went with the Sorel Winter Carnival boot in an 8.

These boots absolutely do their job - they are extremely warm and have great grips on the bottom. So they are a great winter/snow boot. The only reason I can't give them 5 stars is because they are really heavy. I wish they were slightly lighter and then they would be perfect.

I bought these for my teenage daughter who is always a 7.5. Her foot was swimming in the boot. She wanted a size 7 but it wasn't available, so she ordered/tried a size 6.5. Unfortunately that one was not quite big enough for thick winter socks. Maybe size down a half size.

I am normally a size 9 for shoes, but I ended up preferring a size 10. I like to have a little extra room when it comes to winter boots for thicker socks. It's a very stylish winter boot. A little chunky for my taste so I exchanged for Tofino II size 10.Good quality and comfortable though.
