These are my first pair of Sorel boots and I am extremely happy with my purchase. The grey/shale color is stylish looking and they are incredibly warm. I have even worn them a few times without socks in cold, snowy New England and my feet stayed nice and toasty. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for serious winter boots that look cute too.

The Caribou Boot is true to size and warm and toasty as advertised. Takes a little bit of time to get into them with the inserts but once in, truly a great boot.

Overall I'm very pleased with these boots. Although you can only wear one pair of socks and that can be a little tight to get your feet into the boots.

I bought the Caribou snow boots and used them while ice fishing and snowmobile riding. They are very comfortable and kept my feet warm and dry all day out on the ice.

My girlfriend got me these boots for Christmas, as I had seen many people both in Minneapolis, where I used to live, and Chicago, where I now live wearing them and was always talking about them. The -40 degree weather rating was very appealing, given the weather we have here. Well, after the two polar vortexes we've had come through, as well as some other cold weather days, I have to say I am truly disappointed. Even with a good wool sock, my feet are cold (although dry) in these boots - they're warmer in my Lowa hiking boots. I'll wear them for the deep snow a bit longer, but they'll likely be on eBay for a good discount before too long. Oh, and they run a bit wide - I wear a size 14, length was great, but even with a thick wool sock my feet can move laterally a bit.
I'd also recommend:

I bought these boots to replace my 25 year old Sorel boots. I could not count the number of days that my old boots kept my feet warm and dry. The new boots look a little different, but retain the same quality look and rugged feel. I've only worn them a few times, but spent quite a few hours last week outside in 10 degree temps and my feet were toasty and dry.

Chi-beria (aka Chicago) you have met your match with the Caribout - hah - 3 hours of snow shoveling - not a problem, toastie tootsies the entire time. These Christmas Gift Boots came in the nick of time and I can't be happier. Lily

I purchased these boot for my 19 year old daughter who attends college in Ithaca, New York. She needed boots which are waterproof, well insulated and offered excellent traction in snowy & icy conditions. The Caribou Boot keeps her feet warm and dry, and provide excellent traction on moderately hilly, snow covered terrain. And they look great! These boots exceeded her expectations. As previously noted, the inner liner does fit snugly. This has not been a problem for my daughter as the boots are not put on and taken off repeatedly during the day. Further, the fit has relaxed a bit with use.

Great product. Extremely warm, love the ability to replace the liner if needed. Nothing to improve upon. Great, great boot. As with most heavy duty winter boots, they do fit a little big but that allows for extra layers of wool socks.

I first purchased this same pair from Zappos. I ordered the 9.5 from the reviews I figured I would be safe. They were very narrow and hard to get my foot into. So I returned them. Then it snowed and we got about 20" of snow and they didn't have a size 10. So I came right to Sorel and ordered a size 10 paying about 15$ more from Sorel and No free shipping or returns. The boot I have received are HUGE!!!! I mean a whole 1'' too BIG. already out another 15$ then to return more $$ so I kept them. Since we just got another 26" of Snow. But they make me feel like Frankenstein! I have been a size 10 for ever, I am 5'10" and even for me they are FREAKING HUGE. Which stinks really the 9.5 is way too narrow and the correct size is a monstrosity. Not to mention my toes are cold allot. So good quality wouldn't know, too big kinda cold, slippery on ice. But I needed them and didn't want to dish out another 30$ and wait to return and get another pair. It is pretty sad that they can not regulate the sizing it seems if you have been in business for this long if a woman needs a size 10 it will be a size 10. Makes me sad!!!

My father had a pair for decades. I finally got a pair and within less than about 40 hours of actual wear the rubber started cracking on the sides and bend points of boot. My feet started getting wet from the snow. Not sure when the brand that used to last decades now only lasts months? ONLY reason I gave 2 stars was because they are replacing them. My concern......same issue will come up since it seems to be an obvious manufacture defect. Will change if replacements last longer than a work week without dry rot.

I loved the type of boot as to color and how it looked, however, the boot itself was too large another type of Sorel boot I needed a size 9 which was a great fit in this boot however, the size was very large looking and very big for my feet. The size also looked and felt like it was built for a man.

I was disappointed. I have a pair of Sorels snow boots from the mid 90s and was getting another pair. The bottoms is not rubber like it used to be. I made home visits in the country and city in my old boots and never had a problem with traction. I know the brand was purchased by Columbia and maybe this is why the quality has gone down. Disappointed, it was my go to brand.

I bought these boots for my husband because of the many fabulous ratings after he told me that he was freezing in the boots his job priovided. My husband works for the park service in Philadelphia & we've been hit with a couple snowstorms this winter. These boots keep him absolutely warm.

Love my new boots. The only thing I wish is if the little boot liner was sewn into the boot. Everytime I take them off those things come out of the boots on my feet. #firstworldproblems

With it being late in the winter season, I could not find stock anywhere locally so I had to order these boots. Being skeptical of ordering footwear online, I was pleasantly surprised that the fit was just fine. I have always had great luck with the Sorel brand and see no reason while that will not continue with this pair of boots.

My very old (non-Sorel) boots literally fell apart, so it was time to invest in something quality. I normally wear a size 9.5 in sneakers, 9 in all other shoes. Since the 9.5 was not available, I ordered the women's 10, figuring it would probably fit with thick socks. The inner boot actually fits just right with regular socks, but since I'm not normally a size 10 in any shoes, I'm rating it slightly small -- if I had bought the 9.5, I'm sure it would have been too small. The boot itself is very heavy, and actually kind of huge. It has a big 8 printed on the inside, like it's a men's size 8 with a women's insert, rather than a true women's 10, and it's extremely roomy and wide around the toes (wider than my husband's big Timberland boots). Even though I paid for overnight shipping, I didn't get them for a week, which was extremely frustrating with the whole polar vortex thing upon us. But the boots themselves are great, so I'm still rating them a 5.

I oredered these shoes after reading all of the good reviews on this brand. I never had this brand of shoes before. When I recieved them, they were great. They looked great and kept my feet warm in the cold. However, when it came time for the true test in the snow, these boots LEAKED. I wore them in the snow of 4-5 inches and within minutes water started seeping through and my feet wet. Do not get for these shoes if you intend to keep your feet dry and warm in the snow. Maybe in the cold yea, but not the snow. Wish i didn't spent the $140 on these shoes and went with another brand.
