I typically wear a 9 shoe and dress boot. I ordered these boots in a sizes 9, 8.5 and 8. They were huge, even with a nice ski sock. I ended up buying a size 7 boot which works well with a ski sock. I love these boots but did find they run very big....and there's not much difference between a full size and half size. I feel these boots run a little wide in the toe box but I'd rather have them a little wide than too narrow, particularly when wearing them to walk or snowshoe. I live in the mountains of Colorado and these boots are very, very popular. They are definitely warm!

I love the quality or Sorel Caribou boots. They work great for snowmobiling. This is my second pair and I find that they fit a bit small compared to my original boots that came from Canada... the Chinese version are not as true size as my original boots but the quality of workmanship appears to be there....dry, warm, and comfortable.

Ordered the boots for Christmas... My daughter loves them and was excited to wear them right away, however they are to big. She wears a 6.5 in UGG and Nike, however it seems as though I should have ordered a 5.5. We are going to try them on in person then return them. Love these boots.

The worst boot quality I have ever experienced. The polymer rubber below the leather is the worst at defeating flexing fatigue. I bought these in November 2014 and just saw that the flexing before the toe box have multiple cracks on each side of each boot. The cracks now allow moisture to seep in and in no time, there will be a hole. I reported this to Sorel and since I am two weeks outside of reporting this, the one year warranty will not cover me. They offer a 10% discount on the purchase of another pair. WOW! Quite the consolation for a this much per pair of boots that look like new, but lots of flexing cracks that should not be there.

Been a few years since I purchased Sorel boots. I had forgotten how well they fit and the quality of construction. Anyone needing a product that will last for years and fit properly Sorel is for you!

Great winter boot in function, style and warmth. I just underwent major shoulder surgery and bought these in Stone Black so I don't slip. Amazing traction so far. I usually wear a 7-7.5 (sometimes 8) and finally bought these in a size 6 after trying and returning 7's and 6.5's which were both massive.

They are a little chunkier/heavier than I thought they would be, but are incredibly warm/wind resistant.

Great winter boots. They are really heavy is the only bad thing but it's not too bad. I'm happy with my purchase.

I am a size 10 so that is the size I ordered but I could have gone down a full size. These boots are extremely stiff and bulky. They are very heavy on my feet. Definitely not a good shoe to walk long distances. My feet kept sliding in these and now my toes and ankles hurt. I dread having to put them back on. The one plus is that my feet were extremely warm.

These boots are GREAT for heavy duty snow, they keep your feet very warm and dry. We just got about a foot of snow and I walked about a mile to the store and back in these boots, not once were my feet cold or wet. My only complaint is that they are kind of heavy, and make your feet look larger then the average snow boot. My legs are sore today from walking in these boots so much yesterday, they are almost like wearing ankle weights. The first few times that you wear them you will feel very clumsy. I also do not like to drive in these boots because they are so big they are awkward to drive in, I am afraid that I will hit the wrong pedal by accident. However if you want a solid snow boot to actually utilize in the snow it is a great fit.

These are my first pair of Sorel boots and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. I was nervous because I wasn't sure what size I should order; I generally wear a size 7.5 in most shoes, occasionally I will need an 8 because my feet are a bit wide. I ordered the size 7 and they fit perfect. I wore them with a thinner sock and they fit great. I was finally able to wear my boots today. I received them back in early November but winter has taken its time getting here in Massachusetts! The boots kept my feet quite warm while I was out shoveling. The boots didn't feel heavy or clunky, they are a bit bulky but they serve their purpose. My only complaint is that they seemed to dig in a bit at the top of my ankle/bottom of my calf but I'm hoping once I wear them a bit more and break them in, that shouldn't be a problem. Great product and I look forward to purchasing more boots in the future

I've been wanting to order this boots since last winter, finally got around to getting a pair. Originally got a size 9. Quality was outstanding, the materials and the warmth of the boots was excellent.
I'm always walking around with cold feet and with these boots, no problem
I had to return the size 9 and exchange for a size 8. Be aware that they are very heavy weight, a lot heavier than I expected, but I get a lot of compliments on them whenever I wear them, people want to know where I got them.
I'm really glad I finally got them!

I was hoping to love these boots as the look of them are absolutely stunning. They are VERY well made and I'm sure they'd keep the cold out...But for me they are way too heavy and clunky, I mean they are like clown shoes and I couldn't imagine trying to walk or maneuver in deep snow with these things on. I live in Oregon where the winters aren't too crazy and I live in the Valley so for me to have this kind of boot is ridiculous, I do believe they would be perfect for Canada or Alaska or somewhere really harsh. The fit is weird also, it's a perfect fit but not, like it was hard to have a really thick sock on and then try to shove your foot into the boot, but once it was in there it felt fine and taking your foot out was annoying because the inner lining came completely out and I'd have to take it off my foot and shove it back in the boot, so I thought the size was odd. I think it'd be good to go half size up in my opinion. Overall I still think this boot is badass, just not for me. Hope this helps :) I do think it's worth every penny though and the build of the boot is insanely good.

These run large. Rather than going down a half or full-size and gambling on the fit, though, use the size chart and get the right size! I went that route and the boots fit perfectly.
The boots themselves are a bit heavy but they're very, very warm and completely waterproof.

After looking at reviews of everyone saying these boots are too large and chunky, I thought I'd give them a try because I live in Wisconsin and need a heavy snow boot for walking to classes. After trying these boots on, I looked like I put a pair of my dads construction boots on. They were way too clunky and heavy on my feet, especially being a 9.5. I understand that you need a big boot to handle the winters, but this style was way too much.

I grew up wearing the old school Caribou, dad, daughter, everyone wore the same style..this was my first "women's" purchase, so was nervous about toe box being petite, narrow, ordered one size up, way too big...
My advice is to order your normal size, they say women's but they seem to be old school, universal "back in the day" fit.
I got a pair of Nike's from men's department, they were size 6, women's were out of stock in size 8, same situation, they don't run wider in mens.
I work outside, need waterproof, all day foot warmth, in 20-30 degrees.

For the price of the boots, I expected to have top quality boots. When I received them an eyelet was not stitched on at all it was semi glued but that didn't last long.

I can't say I am completely satisfied with this boot, but I did keep it. The fit is large. I ordered according to the fit guide and selected size 6.5. Normally, I wear a 7 and my old Sorel boots are a 7. The 6.5 is a very roomy in the width. I was looking for a very warm boot for days when I work outside for several hours at a time. This boot fits the bill. However, it is very heavy and bulky, so it is almost tiring to walk around in it for many hours. I would recommend this boot if warmth is what you are after, but not if you want all-day comfort. Hope this helps.

Let me start off by saying that I do like these boots. They are very warm and comfortable. The liner is nice and not too fuzzy except for the very top portion and that is nice at the top of the boot so it doesn't rub the leg.
The boot is really wide and large. They obviously are too much for what i need in the south and visiting Park City once a year. Unfortunately no where around me had these to try on or see in person before i purchased though. But with that being said, I do recommend them. They were warm and well worth the money for my recent trip to Park City. They are heavy so don't plan on wearing them day in and day out. These are more for occasional use or intended for simple walking in snow/icy conditions. I did go snowshoeing in these and it made the workout that much better....so there is that if you want more weight and better workout.
All in all great boot and would be amazing for people with heavy snow. If i had time i would have exchanged for another boot that isn't as wide and heavy.

Thankfully, I read the other reviews that said they run large. I ordered a 7.5 and usually wear a 8.5 and they fit perfectly!!! My first snow boot so they are bulky with limited ankle mobility but I thinks that's to be expected. Beautiful shoes. Very happy.
