Not satisfied. Used in Alaska. Temperatures around 25-30F and they couldn't keep my feet warm.

I'm from northern MN and this style of Sorel book is hands down, my favorite and has been for over 30 years. I've worn the other popular brands too but these are the most comfortable and they are waterproof. That means your feet won't get wet. That is huge!! Especially in the Spring when the snow is melting. Here's the kicker though. These are so comfortable that I wear a slightly lighter weight version of them as my hiking boots in the summer even though they are still marketed as winter boots. I know my feet will not hurt no matter where I go or what I tromp through and when I put them on again the next morning, they feel like like a part of my body that was missing overnight.

If you wear smart wool winter socks and sheep skin inserts go one size larger than normal.

The fit was perfect BUT i didn’t realize it was a tall style, and not the shorter one. It’s pretty heavy and obviously great if you are looking for the heavier duty, taller version!

Sorel is very high quality. I'm returning as they're much smaller than my old pair. (Maybe former pair was a mens?) ALSO there was a pair of (opened) socks, one stuffed in each boot, which was a little creepy.....

I live in Alaska, so I understand that conditions here are tough, but I have only had these one winter season (which is not over for us yet!) and the rubber has completely cracked and separated around the top part of the boot. So there is a gap several inches wide exposing the insulated boot on the inside, and ensures my boot fills with snow and my foot is not protected. My main use was on dog walks on flat, snowy trails. Same thing happening on other boot; cracks around toes but not fully separated yet. Overall, poor quality with no longevity.

The shoe is extremely bulky and heavy and not true to size. I ordered my size and it was felt like a whole size too big.

My last pair of Sorel Caribou boots were purchased in 1989. I am thrilled with the quality and comfort of my new boots! Ps-I still wear my 31-year-old boots as they are still in great shape.

I saw some of the negative reviews here and I can't believe them. I bought these about 4 years ago and never snowed until this feb in Texas. I was out in the morning doing maintenance in my home at 2am 4 am and 6 am and I never felt my feet cold. For me it was it's usefulness through some work I had to do keeping my pipes and pool from freezing outside . I can't give them enough stars . I just bought another set for my son and daughter so yeah that's what I think about sorel. I was in sub 0 F with these boots so I can tell you they work.

Fit and size were great for my wide feet. However, I had to return because they weigh a ton! I couldn't imagine wearing them snowshoeing or doing any other outside snow sports. Just wearing them in the house felt like I had uber heavy weights on. My legs honestly felt tired just walking up and down stairs in my house. Never had that issue with snow boots before. So, although they are obviously very solid, warm boots, I had to return because of the weight of them.

These boots are amazing! The quality is exceptional and they keep your feet warm. I found that they run a little bit big. I normally wear a 6 1/2 which I ordered but should have downsized to a 6 but they were sold out. I put in a pair of insoles and they're perfect.

This is my second set of these boots, my first ones are about 20 years old and the leather has gotten stiff, so I bought these new pair. These boots are the only thing I will wear out hunting in the winter, your feet will absolutely stay warm all day, and they wear like iron. I had to replace the felt liners once after about 10 years on the first pair, but that is amazing for a pair of boots to last that long. They have a fantastic grip and are waterproof, a win-win.

So I bought the Sorel Caribou snow boots after reviewing all of the reviews, positive and negative. I've read reviews where they said these are heavy. Yes, a little heavier than an UGG boot. However, I took about two hours reviewing The North Face, Columbia Sportswear, UGG, LL Bean, Eddie Bauer, no name brands, and other lightweight Sorel winter boots. Seems there was at least 1-5 reviews in all of the above snow boots that suggested water seeped in for some. That's 1 too many. I would rather have a little heavier of a boot with a secure waterproof sole than have water seep in to freeze my toes, or have a thin rubber sole that cracks. I did not notice driving being a problem, nor did my foot press on both gas and brakes at the same time. So, yes a tad heavier than some, but not like cinder blocks. I feel these will handle walking in any ice or snow without my feet being cold, water seeping in or rubber cracking. This particular boot said it can run a little large; I wear a 6.5 so ordered a 6.5 and it was perfect for me. I put on a thick sock on and it fit amazing without being snug. So take your chances on wet toes or cracked rubber soles on other lighter weight snow boots, but my vote is for feeling absolutely safe without a shadow of a doubt that these will work in rain, snow and ice.

Absolutely amazing! Warm and comfy. They are not the everyday girly shoes that people expect, they are made for outdoor activities. Therefore if you are looking for a boot that is not "big" you might have to look at other styles. I would recommend these 100%. Best boot I've ever owned.

These boots were very snug and warm and so comfortable, but even though I ordered down a half size to a 7 1/2, they made my feet look enormous! I felt like I was wearing giant man boots! I decided to return for the more feminine looking Joan of Arctics.

They are so comfortable. Really comfortable. And I'm likening the tread design, grips well but doesn't hold the snow. Excellent! Well done Sorel.

The shoes are comically large. They feel and look like clown shoes. I could not comfortably walk in these and I'd be embarrassed to wear them in public. The return process has been a pain thus far as well..
