These are my first pair and were exactly what I was looking for. They’re stiff at worst but break in rather easily.

these are my first pair of Doc Martens and I am loving them. I thought they would be a now and then type of usage; however, I’m in them almost daily. I just bought another pair, a bit more stylish this time.

the size was good, felt true to size but there is no arch support.

I generally wear 7.5 and the 38 size (7) is perfect for me. Glad I did not size up! There seems to be almost no break-in time with this nappa leather, however it's winter and I've been wearing them with wool socks so that may help. Great shoes!

Oh I much I wanted to love these!!! The style is so cool, timeless and hippy! But, oh my, the leather is thick and stiff and I was ready to bleed and suffer for about a month to break them in. But once I put them on… there was a huge stitching seam on the top inside, where the tongue is attached. It’s so rough, and sticking out so bad it’s like a sharp piece pressing the top of my foot. Who designed that???? So sad to return them.

Fit well, seemed like they would be comfortable without a lot of breaking in. Was just really worried with the material (black smooth) - looked oddly plastic and seemed like it would show every single scratch and scuff, and I'm hard on my shoes. Sadly returning, might consider another pair in a different material/color.

I'm normally a size 9 but these are just a bit big on me. 8 1/2 would be perfect but 1/2 sizes are not available so I'm living with it. Otherwise, I LOVE these boots!!!

this is my first pair of Dr Martens and I love them. I think they are true to size and as long as you wear a pair of socks that go up farther than the boot goes, it is fine. Without that, they do rub a little on the inside. I am wearing them for the first time to work today and they feel and look great!! I loved them so much that I bought another pair in the smooth black and hope to get them soon!!

So glad Docs are back! I forgot how comfortable they are!!

I normally wear a size 8.5 and the size 8 fit perfectly. Took a couple of wears to get them broken in but now they are very comfy and I can wear them the whole day without my feet hurting. Great boot for winter and stylish as well.

I ordered my usual size and it was spot on, and the width is fine for my regular to slightly narrow foot. Sole is very cushy and comfortable, and I'd say arch support is medium. I am finding there is a small break-in period, which I expected, but was happy with the comfort right out of the box. I got the black nappa and honestly don't know what the difference is between that and the smooth but it was the only black in stock in my size. I have already worn them hiking and the dirt and dust just brushed right off! I've wanted a pair for probably 25 years now (lol) and I am really glad I finally got some.

Obsessed with my new Docs. Super comfortable and versatile. I never size down in Docs and always get my normal size (7) and these fit perfectly. I got the purple color and love it so much. It’s nice that it’s a little different than the traditional black but is dark enough that it still matches well with tons of outfits.

The only drawback about these shoes is they only come in whole sizes and I’m a solid 7.5 in womens shoes. I’d say they’re very true to size, as the 7s were too small, 8 is a bit too big, but throw on some thick socks and they work. The style is absolutely adorable and exactly what I was looking for. They look really high quality and feel very sturdy. First time wearing them they were uncomfortable, but even by the second time they were broken in enough to be comfortable. I live in the Midwest and it gets icy where I live. I was looking for something stylish to wear on my feet that didn’t have a heel, these are perfect!

Very comfortable boot and the fit was just what I was hoping for! Stylish and comfortable, good for casual or even dressing up a little.

I bought these for my sister. When she put them on she said they were comfortable. I styled her jeans with the boots and it looked good.

the shoes look amazing and are very comfortable but im a size 7.5 and whenever i get an 8 the shoes are always too big, in this case there are no half sizes so i went with an 8. hence fits me big. i wore them with 2 pairs of really thick socks! the weather was really cold that night so i was as comfortable as i can get! worth it!

Simply in love with my new pair of docs! These probably make the 12th pair of docs I own and they are just what I’ve been wanting! I love the color and these fit true to size along with all my other pairs no matter the style or design. Also, they were delivered a day earlier! Very pleased with this purchase. Thank you Zappos!

In the past, I've always worn the standard unisex 1460, with the wider toe box, because of some broken toes over the years. I didn't know how the more fitted 1460W would be, but I wanted to try them, based on the great reviews I read here. The great reviews are correct! I am so impressed with the fit and feel of these boots. The toe box of the 1460W still has enough room and, in fact, feels more supportive of my old injuries because it fits my foot better, without compressing the toes. The removable insole allowed me to easily replace it with my full-length medical arch supports, without any loss of foot space within the boot. Today I'm wearing my new 1460Ws for the first time, straight out of the box. After only about one hour of routine walking they feel 100% comfortable already. The nappa finish is extremely supple, strong and comfortable. The treads are great for winter walking. I LOVE these boots & would recommend them to anyone who requires great support, stability, comfort & style. My shoe size is 7.5 or 8, I ordered an 8 in these boots & the fit is perfect.

I loved the look of these boots, but they were so wide, my feet just knocked about in them. I plan on sizing down (to a 9) or opting for another style of Docs.

My boots fit perfectly. I had wiggle room for my toes. The boots are comfortable. I don't tie them all the way up which allows for more flexibility. I did not have to break them in. My sister liked them so I bought her a pair in patent leather for her birthday. When hers arrived she put them on and was surprised at how comfortable they were.

Love the all leather fabrication. A little squeaky. I hope they wear in with less squeak. The look is just what I hoped for.
