Great fit but need a little time to break-in. Wear crew socks while breaking in to protect your lower leg that's in the boot shaft. Lots of compliments on these.

On behalf of our dtr...These boots were comfortable from the start. They're not meant to be cushiony boots so the comfort is somewhat relative. Everyone says you have to break in Doc Martins, but I find them good right away. I usually wear a 7-1/2 but 8M in Doc Martins. I also suggest a crew sock to make the ankle shaft more comfortable against your lower leg. The white patent leather is spot on!

This is my first pair of docs in many years. I was surprised at the stiffness of the uppers. They wear fine, no rubbing or discomfort, but the stiffness makes it harder to get on and tie. Docs don’t have arch support, so added my own to these boots. Overall, I love the way they look, and the comfort is decent.

I've wanted a pair of these since the 90s but I'd never even tried them on before. These are the most uncomfortable shoes I've ever worn. The area where the tongue starts is done in such a way that it feels like a metal rod is pressing across the top of your foot. There's a thick seam there and the material is bent and taut. Hard to explain. The sole is stiff and doesn't give. The insole is hard. How the heck can anyone wear these things? Find another brand that actually cares about style AND comfort. They could've made these comfy on the inside, but it's like they take pride that there's a tough break-in period people have to endure just for the style and brand. No thanks!

I'm 44 yrs. old and I've been wearing Docs since I was 16 yrs. old. Unless you had Docs from back in the day, you probably can't understand how much the quality has gone down. I bought this pair of Docs, these Black Nappa 1460W, 4 years ago this month. I just noticed this week that the sole on my left boot is splitting apart. I have owned at least 15 pairs of Docs over the years spanning many different styles (most of which are in storage boxes for when my child reaches her teen years and might like to wear them) and I have NEVER had a sole split on any pair in any way shape or form. I'm SO disappointed. My original pair of Docs is 28 yrs old and the sole is not splitting. If you want these boots for only a few years, then these are great boots. They are comfy and awesome. But if you think you are buying a pair of Docs that you will have for 25 years, then go to find a pair of New Rock Boots instead. They are made in Spain and have superior quality (and yes, very worth the price!)

Absolutely huge! I wonder if I even got the right size or right sex for the boot. They were huge on me. Hard to even review. On top of that, they were just a little too Frankenstein clunky.

Daughter typically wears 7.5 and has a narrow foot. We first ordered the 7 based on reviews suggesting to size down. Daughter found the 7 to be an ok fit but a tiny bit small. Exchanged for an 8, which is a tiny bit too big but will allow for heavier socks. Replacement arrived in one day. A++

I am usually an 8.5 and the 8 is working really well, though I am still breaking in the boots, and have formed a blister on my heel. Trying to take it in small amounts of time so that the leather adjusts. We're going to Europe in a month and I'm hoping they will be perfect by then.

These just don't work for me. I'm a 7.5 shoe size. Since they don't come in 1/2 sizes. 7 was too small and 8 was too big.

I am in love!!!!! I am a 5.5 in sneakers and purchased the 1460 W color cherry red Arcadia size 5. They are slightly snug but should break in nicely. The color in person is dark cranberry with lighter spots on the toe and heel. They also have a nice shine but not too much. They seem to be very comfortable before breaking in and are made very well!

These shoes are way better in person! I love them and they fit like a glove perfect! The disco color is amazing and so fun. First pair of Dr. martens shoes and I am hooked on them. The hype is real! They are the best

I usually wear 8.5 in US sizes. I originally bought size 9 and they were tooo big even when I put them on with very thick socks. I returned them and ordered the size 8 instead and unfortunately they were tooo small even with thin socks. My feet went numb after few minutes of having them on. The leather is so tough and I am not sure it is because they are the patent leather or if they are all made that way. Sadly returning them even though I love the style.

I love my boots! They took some time to break in but now they feel great. I’m a US size 7.5 regular width in shoes and sneakers. In boots I wear a 8 regular and these fit just right in a size 8.

Not happy with this purchase and the waste of time and resources in receiving and returning them. The product description just says premium leather. It does not say anything about a rub-off dye. I was specifically trying to avoid the rub-off styles. When the boots arrived, it was clear they had already been rubbed off in a few places, which is not at all the look I was going for. Wish the product description had been more accurate.
