My third pair - I love these shoes. They are comfortable, sturdy, supportive and stylish!

Good, but not as good as lace-up New Balance - For those like me who need excellent arch, and overall, support for walking, this shoe really isn't good enough for that. I wore them shopping in a large mall, and my feet felt very fatigued throughout the walking. I strongly recommend choosing the New Balance WX1007 for that purpose. But for light, unhurried walking and airport security when you have to remove your shoes, these are great for the easy on & off. Also, to give you a basis for comparison, I find I usually have to wear a wide width in most shoes (except Merrell and Birkenstock) - I wear a wide width in my WX1007 shoes. In these, I definitely needed socks to take up some extra space. They do not fit like a glove, but at the same time, do not fall off my feet, and are comfy.

Great hospital shoe - I wear this shoe in the hospital where I walk around all day. It is comfortable, easy to walk in, and looks good.

Glad I bought these - I purchased these shoes for walking around a large city at a convention and I'm glad I did. The shoes are very comfortable for walking and standing for long periods. I got these in a 12 because New Balance tends to fit narrow in the toe box. My only issue is that then my foot looks wider than it really is. Other than that I recommend them to anyone looking for a comfortable shoe with style. Oh, and Zappos had these in black when the New Balance store did not and they were a much better price.

Great alternative to sneakers! I love this hybrid between sneaker and sandal! They are extremely comfortable and very versatile. My only complaint is they don't breathe enough.

Very narrow mid-foot, but 1/2 size longer than actual size! Good support, if you can figure out what size to get!

I was so disappointed in the fit of these shoes, I wanted a slip on walking shoe. My instep hurt after wearing around house. Tried different insoles which did not help. I liked the fact that they came in wide, but they were very uncomfortable. New Balance is not the shoe it used to be.

What I dislike about the shoe is that it "flaps" as you walk and sort of like a flip-flop. That is why I am returning it. Otherwise, very good support and I liked that my heel did not move side-to-side while waling.

First I got a 6, but my little toes seemed a bit cramped, so I returned and got the 6 1/2. Maybe it just all the stitching inside and the way it's designed in that area...but the half larger size was no better. I do like the stretchy bit across the top, but the inside is just really uncomfortable.

I don't normally wear Wide shoes, but I had to with this pair. They still feel a little snug below my toes. I'm hoping they stretch out a bit. They do look pretty nice.

I've had several good pairs of these in the past. The quality control now is horrible. I sent the first pair back; the left shoe was unwearably defective. I will keep the second pair rather than go without but the shoes are far from perfect. The right is wider than the left, and the left has seam issues. Okay for mud shoes only!

These shoes are very tight. Since there are no laces, I feel that New Balance overcompensated with the elastic sides of the shoes, making them much too tight. I do recommend New Balance shoes, particularly for those of you with wide feet like me. But skip these.

Fairly comfortable shoe, but runs narrow. Wish the top of the shoe were lined inside so it would be smooth since I don't like to wear socks. Zappos is great. I ordered the B width (my normal) and when it was too tight they got the wider ones sent out the same day before I even got the first ones mailed back to them. The wider width is a little loose, but workable for me. I think next time, though, I'll stick with my old favorites, Sketchers, for backless tennis shoes.

I could not keep my foot far enough in the shoe to keep my heel from hitting the back. Tried a half size bigger, still did it, gave them to my daughter, she said the same thing but she can live with it, I couldn’t.

Cute, but does not have excellent support - I had to return this cute, sporty, shoe. I need excellent support, and this shoe is so-so. Not the best shoe for flat feet. But buy it if you don't have problem feet!

Okay but not great... Shoes are pretty comfortable but look kind of bulky near the toes. They are a little stiff when you first buy them.

Cute and convenient, with support and comfort problems - These are great for casual wear and around the house, but not for anything other than short walks. The top has an elastic gore which makes the shoes fit snugly and stay on, but the fabric is rather stiff and I think the edges would rub my foot raw if I was on my feet all day. Lots of cushioning on the bottom, but little arch support. I wear them frequently, but overall I'm disappointed. Still searching for the perfect athletic mule.

VICKIE - I bought two pairs of the New Balance W801 shoes in Black and in light Blue. My only complaint is that they do not have a very good arch support. And, since I need a shoe with a good arch support, I will be returning the Black pair since I have not worn them.

Not impressed - I ordered these in tan and was hoping to find a pair of shoes that were comfy for work, but just walking around the house and even sitting with them on wasn't comfortable. I have a narrow foot but these still felt tight across my foot. Length and support were good; they seem to have great potential for someone else's foot!!

New Balance W801 - Liked the looks of the shoe, but was too tight across the instep…

Cute but run really small - These are really cute kicks, but they run 1/2-1 size too small. Do yourself a favor and heed this advice--buy a size larger than you usually wear. I ignored the warnings and now have a paid of kicks I've work once and can't wear again. Within 5 minutes of walking my heels were uncomfortable from rubbing on the back lip, and after 15 minutes I had a blister about 1 inch across from the rubbing. What a bummer b/c these are totally cute.

These shoes are somewhat comfortable, but most importantly, they are extremely hot! Even with no socks, my feet would sweat terribly. Have to return them. Wish the upper material was more breathe-able or mesh-like.

I had high hopes for these, but the moment I put them on, it was over. I wear a wide width, so I understand when some wides aren't quite wide enough, but the stretch elastic part of this shoe feels like sandpaper on the top of my feet. Instant 'no' for me. Back to my Easy Spirit Traveltime reliable slip-ons.

I'm used to this style of shoe by Easy Spirit or Merrell. The stitching on the inside of this shoe rubs terribly. New Balance I think is a good brand, but these shoes didn't work for me.

I've worn this style for several years but am disappointed because they've changed them. First they've tightened them up (strangely the 801 in suede are perfect it's just the leather). The other thing I don't like is that they have lowered the back of the shoe so your foot doesn't stay in as well. To me this is a big disappointment. I hope they go back to the "old all terrain". Will not purchase this shoe again!
