I have 3 pair of these now! Love these shoes! I wear them to work, wish they had more arch support, but they are very comfortable and I am on my feet all day.

I bought 2 pairs - I needed an open-backed shoe with good cushioning because of a heel problem. This shoe worked out great. I bought a pair for work and after wearing it for a few weeks, I bought the same shoe in a different color for casual wear. Fits true to size. Only complaint is that my foot gets a little sweaty after many hours of wearing. The elastic insert does not pinch or bind.

Great Looking Shoes - I really needed these in a wide for when my feet are swollen which is most of the time for them to be really comfortable, but none of the 801s were available in a wide and I loved the shoe so much that I kept them for days when my feet aren't swollen. Then they are great! I read the reviews and ordered a size larger and it's perfect.

Very Cute, Very Comfy! I purchased this shoe only after reading the reviews a couple of times. I am someone who has a few problems with my feet and that fact that I'm a nurse and on my feet most of the day doesn't help! I ordered the 12W (I'm normally a 12M) and was a little skeptical because I thought that my heel might hang off the back of the shoe. They fit perfectly! I like wide width because it doesn’t squeeze my foot but it still feels like it won't come off. I also have received quite a few compliments on these shoes (I ordered the khaki stripe). I have recommended your site to some of my friends and co-workers. Thank you Zappos for offering a huge variety of shoes for us gals with larger feet!

Shoes feel a little wide but I have narrow feet so I just wear socks! Zappos is great to work with and I will shop here again.

These are great. I bought them to replace some worn our Sketcher clog sneakers and am not disappointed. The only thing that isn't the best if how tight they are at first. I like my shoes snug but these can boarder uncomfortable and that is why the score of 4. New Balance is a great brand and always provides me a good fit. Also I knew if there was anything at all not to my liking that Zappos would take care of me. I LOVE ZAPPOS!

Please know that these shoes will make your feet sweat! They made mine sweat so much that I ended up with toe fungus. I do not wear them that often anymore. They are comfy but not worth it.

First I will say that (at least when I purchased these), there is a statement that the manufacturer recommends one order a half size wider than usual. I am always a size 8M and couldn't imagine ordering a wide, so I ordered an 8.5M instead. There was no need for it. The shoes would have been fine in my regular size. Other than that, these are great, if a little hot. I got them to replace a pair of 802's that I'd had for years and had just gotten a little beaten up, and they serve the purpose just as well. I use them to run outside for quick things like getting the mail, watering the lawn, etc. because of the slip on / slip off functionality. I'd order them again, but in my regular size.

I got these to slip on in my classroom when taking students outside or when my feet were getting sore. These are awesome. The band across the front is not tight, but the shoe is staying on just fine. They are very comfortable.

I was so excited to get these shoes, as I love New Balance and have five other pairs. They are by far the most comfortable exercise shoe brand out there (though I love Merrell for winter slip-ons and Ahnu for my hiking books/ice walkers). I put on this model of New Balance running shoe "mules" and my size 10½M feet were swimming in these shoes! I double and triple checked, but I was sent the size I asked for. It just seems like I maybe this shoe is a man's style or unisex or something, because it is easily large enough to fit a 12½W woman's foot, or a man's 8½M one, maybe. Immensely huge style on me, and yet my other New Balance shoes range from women's 10½-11M, and fit like a glove. I should have paid attention to the reviewer who said she normally took a women's 9½, but bought an 8 in this style. I am not sure if going down 1½ sizes would be enough for me: the Women's 10½M I received had a footbed that was a full 1¼" too long and even the thickest hiking sock I own would not have kept the shoes on my feet for more than two steps. Besides, I wanted these for barefoot summer wear, so socks were out. I also tried to put in a size 41 Birkenstock total footbed orthotic. The shoes were still way too large. I sent these back and I have ordered another New Balance slide-type running shoe in a size 10. So I still have some hope for this style and slip-on convenience with the great New Balance footbed and support/fit.

These shoes are very well made but not quite as cute as I thought they would be. The top panel looks a bit like wet suit material and somehow it just made the shoes feel a bit like "old lady shoes." They were initially very comfortable and will probably work great for people with healthy feet but they didn't have enough cushion or arch support for me. I have Plantar Fasciitis and I am a moderate over pronator (things I found out after buying these shoes) so I needed more than these shoes were designed to give. Not the shoes' fault.

This is my second pair of W801s. I bought a pair of gray ones from a New Balance store and wore them constantly for at least 5 years before giving them to my daughter in-law when she was pregnant and her feet were swollen. I added an insole that provided more cushion and support. I've been wearing these new ones for about a month now and I'm not disappointed.

I had back surgery and needed a sneaker that I could slip on without bending, but would also provide good support for walking. This shoe fit the bill. I ordered a 1/2 size down as recommended by some of the other reviews and the shoe fit great. I'm walking several miles a day.

I now have 5 pairs of the same shoe in different colors. When they are "broken in" they are very comfortable. The instep is the problem. The solid white pair seems to have a little less space than the others. I am still working on them.

Use these as a uniform shoe, and I've lost count how many pairs I've owned. I have put them through the wash, but they loose some of their resistance to splatter and it alters the fit. I wish they made these in the smoother sole again, this climber-style is unnecessary on a open-back shoe. Because of this sole these shoes feel wider (like wearing off-road tires). I always order a 9 versus an 8 1/2 because of the toe space.

Very good looking shoe, but fit was a little off... I loved the look of this shoe, and it would go great with a pair of brown terry pants I own. I had to exchange the pair I had originally ordered however. Not only did these feel a half size too small, but they felt narrower than a normal wide feels. I have a bunion on my right foot, and in the original size I had ordered these were a bit uncomfortable. I was pleased however when I went up a size, although they still felt slightly narrow.

Nice, but too narrow. Good looking in the brown. First time I have bought shoes that I thought a wide width might have been better. Should have exchanged right away, but I am hoping they stretch…

Ok - I would not order them again. The big 801 in the middle looks weird, but they are ok. Very comfortable, but not exactly what I thought they would be. BUT everything with Zappos was awesome and I love buying from you guys!

A little snug - A great looking shoe, fits well if barefoot, but a little snug with socks. I have wide feet and high arch so often times it’s difficult to find shoes that fit. However, Zappos always comes through. I believe it might just be New Balance that I usually have trouble fitting into as well as I would like.

I purchased this shoe in the brown suede and in a wide width. The wide width was great - not too wide and not too narrow. Overall the shoe was very comfortable, although I recommend wearing socks with these. Otherwise, the elastic across the top of the foot was slightly tight. Also, when I tried this on with jeans, the hem kept folding up under my heel, so I also recommend only wearing with capris or shorter pants. Everything else was great.

Very comfortable! The only gripe I had with this shoe was that they didn't have the black ones in my size (7Wide). I desperately needed something for work (standing all day long) and these fit the bill. I got the gray/white/blue ones and they are actually cuter in person than in the pictures. However, I would have preferred a bit more leather/structure to the shoe; they're mostly a stretchy, checkered-textured fabric. Good for summer, though and great to just run around in! New Balance is about the only thing I can buy anymore that isn't completely lame AND comes in wide sizes. I would recommend these to active people who have an odd-sized foot (need wides, etc.).

I like a lot - These shoes are really cute, but they take a little while to break in. The stitching inside on the top of the foot does irritate a little, but it just needs to be worn in.

Solid and comfortable - Good solid shoe. Comfortable and easy to wear. I like small lip on the back so that my foot doesn't slip out while walking. The corduroy covering makes the shoes look a little warmer and heavier. Good choice for cooler weather.

Comfortable and cute, but hot - I ordered this shoe for my 12 year old daughter who has more foot problems than the average pre-teen. Her doctor recommended New Balance and no sandals! These cute pink slip-ons are a great compromise for her because they offer support and are cute and summery. She wears them often, but complains that they are hot and the fabric doesn't breathe as well as her other New Balance sneakers.

Based on previous reviews for this shoe, I ordered a half size larger than usual, but I feel I could have worn my regular size.
