Just like the many pairs of A/E's I have had before.....They are great! Size perfect each time.

Love these shoes. Soooo comfortable. Just one comment: Wish the tassels would lay down on the top of the shoes instead of the sides.

I have several pairs of Grayson and they fit my foot the best. I wish Allen Edmonds made more shoes on the same last. They make far too many shoes on the 5 last which is too narrow for the average foot

Ordered shoes as replacements to existing shoes, and the ordering process along with delivery time exceeded expectations.

I love the shoes. It is my fifth pair of Graysons along with Park Ave and several others since 1990. Although it is the only pair that I have had that slips badly. Hopefully I can resolve the problem.

Because of the difference in "lasts" there is a lack of company oversight in uniformity from shoe to shoe.
My wife bought me a pair of size 12AAA Maxwell loafers and they were about one half inch shorter then the Grayson 12AAA.
It seems to me that "you" would save quite a bit of money in shipping if there was greater consistency. Why not make all your manufacturers use the "last" of your choice?

Personally, I have found nothing better than an Allen Edmonds Grayson for a dress tassel. A great "Made in the USA" product.

The soft supple calf leather conformed to my feet after one day of wear. Great styling and comfort, it has become my favorite shoe to wear even among the other AE shoes I have. I have mine in the Walnut which goes with about anything I wear. Just a fabulous shoe!

I have been buying this shoe for years now. It is the only shoe that fits me well. I have it in different colors and like them all.
It is a great product.
I have also used the recrafting service to extend the life of the shoe.

This is my 7th pair of Allen Edmonds shoes. I am still wearing the Harvard model I purchased in 1989 and the black Grayson's I bought in 1990. Both have been re-crafted and are almost as good as new!

I received the dark brown Grayson loafers 3-4 weeks after ordering, as they have to be completed by Allen Edmonds after purchasing in this color. The shoes looked beautiful, and I was really excited to begin wearing them.
Unfortunately, after a few days of wearing, I began to notice several issues. First, a crease developed in the toe, much closer to the toe than in any other AE shoes I own. Second, I noticed that the lacing on one shoe was not fully dyed - one side portion of the lace was bright white where the rest was dark brown, but the positioning of the lace kept it out of my view most of the time, so it was hard to notice. Third, the heels and soles appear to be poorly shaped, with strange "grooves" or "wobbles" where it looks like the technician operating the saw to cut the shapes of the soles/heels got distracted or had his arm bumped, leaving an irregular shape instead of smooth curves around the outside of the sole and heel.
Additionally, while I have the Manchesters in the same size (and they use the same last), this pair seems narrower in the toe somehow, and has gradually begun to wear against my 4th and 5th toes. If you look at the shoe from the bottom, it becomes obvious that despite the width around the ball of the foot, the shoe tapers incredibly toward the toe, and I'm not sure I've ever seen a foot that would fit such a shape.
In any event, the shoe *looks* fantastic, from first glance, and so far it's been mostly wearable (still working on the toe rub, wondering if it might dissipate with time), but in general it was a pretty serious disappointment to develop creases, find undyed portions of lacing, and find strange craftsmanship issues on the heels/soles. I'm not sure if the shoe is worth fixing or simply keeping (I bought them on sale) but it's certainly not what I hoped it would be.

I wear size 9.5D but the shoes were too long. I thought I could make them fit better by using tongue pads and heel grips. They did not work. The shoes still slip rather badly but I cannot return them because they are worn. I had to cancel my other orders just to minimize my loss. I will not buy another loafers online.

Two week old shoes. Still stiff and tuff to evaluate at this point. Can only get better the more they are worn. Your survey timing would be better if you could give people some time for break in. Comfort with these shoes comes with time and not two weeks!
Ask me in two months how they feel!!

Really comfortable once they are stretched. I always liked the tassel shoes since I was a kid, and this pair really looks nice with them. The profile is short, which is great if you are a smaller stature. This is my first pair of Allen Edmonds shoes, and I plan to buy more.

I love Allen Edmund shoes and own three pair. The Grayson looks good, but this shoe is just not comfortable for me. I've tried to add cushion inserts but it made the shoe too tight. It feels like I'm walking on a rock.

Shoe was very stiff and rubbed on the sides of my husband's foot. It was the correct size but was not comfortable.

Comfortable loafer, I love the way it fit from the first moment I wore it.
I wear it with khakis and jeans and they are a great alternative to my penny loafers.
If I really have to be picky, they are a little on the heavy side and I am not sure I can take them out for a walk in the summer heat.

I have a pair of Grayons in merlot. They're not quite as dressy as the Graysons in black, but the color is subtle and striking. They are my go-to dress-down shoe, and easily the most comfortable AE shoe that I own.

I have a pair of black Graysons that are very veratile. They can look dressy with a suit or more casual for dress-down days. They are the most comforable shoe I own and have lasted for years.

The Grayson is my top choice to wear with any of my dark suits. The quality is exceptional, the fit is very comfortable - even when wearing for a long business day. This shoe carries itself well from the Boardroom to dinner events that occur afterward. This model is a superior business shoe - and one that deserves special consideration by any decerning business person.

AE's Graysons are of excellent quality. You can see it in the leather and craftsmanship. And length of ownership proves its phenominal durability. I recently bought my 3rd pair of Graysons. The first two pair were worn often for 30 years. And the 3rd purchase was necessary only because the 2nd pair burned in a house fire.
Sincerely,
Guy W.

I have worn AE shoes for many, many years. The Grayson is one of the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. It fits very well, and is light weight. The pair I am wearing now is well over 10 ten years old and still look brand new. I have only had to resole them a couple of times. Great shoes!
